The Linux kernel parses the ISA extensions from "riscv, isa" DT
property. It used to parse only the single letter base extensions
until now. A generic ISA extension parsing framework was proposed[1]
recently that can parse multi-letter ISA extensions as well.
Generate the extended ISA string by appending the available ISA extensions
to the "riscv, isa" string if it is enabled so that kernel can process it.

Some bits in RISC-V `misa' CSR should not be reflected in the ISA
string. For instance, `S' and `U' (represents existence of supervisor
and user mode, respectively) in `misa' CSR must not be copied since
neither `S' nor `U' are valid single-letter extensions.
This commit also removes all reserved/dropped single-letter "extensions"
from the list.
- "B": Not going to be a single-letter extension (misa.B is reserved).
- "J": Not going to be a single-letter extension (misa.J is reserved).
- "K": Not going to be a single-letter extension (misa.K is reserved).
- "L": Dropped.
- "N": Dropped.
- "T": Dropped.
It also clarifies that the variable `riscv_single_letter_exts' is a
single-letter extension order list.

This adds initial support for the Sdtrig extension via the Trigger
Module, as defined in the RISC-V Debug Specification [1].
Only "Address / Data Match" trigger (type 2) is implemented as of now,
which is mainly used for hardware breakpoint and watchpoint. The number
of type 2 triggers implemented is 2, which is the number that we can
find in the SiFive U54/U74 cores.

The RISC-V specification states that:
"Supervisor-level external interrupts are made pending based on the
logical-OR of the software-writable SEIP bit and the signal from the
external interrupt controller."
We currently only allow either the interrupt controller or software to
set the bit, which is incorrect.
This patch removes the miclaim mask when writing MIP to allow M-mode
software to inject interrupts, even with an interrupt controller.
We then also need to keep track of which source is setting MIP_SEIP. The
final value is a OR of both, so we add two bools and use that to keep
track of the current state. This way either source can change without
losing the correct value.

We define a CPU feature for AIA CSR support in RISC-V CPUs which
can be set by machine/device emulation. The RISC-V CSR emulation
will also check this feature for emulating AIA CSRs.

The machine or device emulation should be able to force set certain
CPU features because:
1) We can have certain CPU features which are in-general optional
but implemented by RISC-V CPUs on the machine.
2) We can have devices which require a certain CPU feature. For example,
AIA IMSIC devices expect AIA CSRs implemented by RISC-V CPUs.

The guest external interrupts from an interrupt controller are
delivered only when the Guest/VM is running (i.e. V=1). This means
any guest external interrupt which is triggered while the Guest/VM
is not running (i.e. V=0) will be missed on QEMU resulting in Guest
with sluggish response to serial console input and other I/O events.
To solve this, we check and inject interrupt after setting V=1.

Currently we may set env->vill to 1 in the vsetvl helper, but there

This adds the decoder and translation for the XVentanaCondOps custom
extension (vendor-defined by Ventana Micro Systems), which is
documented at https://github.com/ventanamicro/ventana-custom-extensions/releases/download/v1.0.0/ventana-custom-extensions-v1.0.0.pdf
This commit then also adds a guard-function (has_XVentanaCondOps_p)
and the decoder function to the table of decoders, enabling the
support for the XVentanaCondOps extension.

To split up the decoder into multiple functions (both to support
vendor-specific opcodes in separate files and to simplify maintenance
of orthogonal extensions), this changes decode_op to iterate over a
table of decoders predicated on guard functions.
This commit only adds the new structure and the table, allowing for
the easy addition of additional decoders in the future.

The Zb[abcs] support code still uses the RISCV_CPU macros to access
the configuration information (i.e., check whether an extension is

As the number of extensions is growing, copying them individiually
into the DisasContext will scale less and less... instead we populate
a pointer to the RISCVCPUConfig structure in the DisasContext.
This adds an extra indirection when checking for the availability of
an extension (compared to copying the fields into DisasContext).
While not a performance problem today, we can always (shallow) copy
the entire structure into the DisasContext (instead of putting a
pointer to it) if this is ever deemed necessary.

Current xlen has been used in helper functions and many other places.
The computation of current xlen is not so trivial, so that we should
recompute it as little as possible.
Fortunately, xlen only changes in very seldom cases, such as exception,
misa write, mstatus write, cpu reset, migration load. So that we can only
recompute xlen in this places and cache it into CPURISCVState.

The stval and mtval registers can optionally contain the faulting
instruction on an illegal instruction exception. This patch adds support
for setting the stval and mtval registers.
The RISC-V spec states that "The stval register can optionally also be
used to return the faulting instruction bits on an illegal instruction
exception...". In this case we are always writing the value on an
illegal instruction.
This doesn't match all CPUs (some CPUs won't write the data), but in
QEMU let's just populate the value on illegal instructions. This won't
break any guest software, but will provide more information to guests.

operations in the table for three csrs (writes fallback to the
64-bit version as the upper 64-bit information is handled elsewhere):
- misa, as mxl is needed for proper operation,
- mstatus and sstatus, to return sd

Given the side effects they have, the csr instructions are realized as
helpers. We extend this existing infrastructure for 128-bit sized csr.
We return 128-bit values using the same approach as for div/rem.

Mult are generated inline (using a cool trick pointed out by Richard), but
for div and rem, given the complexity of the implementation of these
instructions, we call helpers to produce their behavior. From an
implementation standpoint, the helpers return the low part of the results,
while the high part is temporarily stored in a dedicated field of cpu_env
that is used to update the architectural register in the generation wrapper.

Get function to retrieve the 64 top bits of a register, stored in the gprh
field of the cpu state. Set function that writes the 128-bit value at once.
The access to the gprh field can not be protected at compile time to make
sure it is accessed only in the 128-bit version of the processor because we
have no way to indicate that the misa_mxl_max field is const.
The 128-bit ISA adds ldu, lq and sq. We provide support for these
instructions. Note that (a) we compute only 64-bit addresses to actually
access memory, cowardly utilizing the existing address translation mechanism
of QEMU, and (b) we assume for now little-endian memory accesses.

If the frm field contains an invalid rounding mode (101-111),
attempting to execute any vector floating-point instruction, even
those that do not depend on the rounding mode, will raise an illegal
instruction exception.
Call gen_set_rm() with DYN rounding mode to check and trigger illegal
instruction exception if frm field contains invalid value at run-time
for vector floating-point instructions.
