284d697c74 target/riscv: Merge m/vsstatus and m/vsstatush into one uint64_t unit
mstatus/mstatush and vsstatus/vsstatush are two halved for RISCV32.
This patch expands mstatus and vsstatus to uint64_t instead of
target_ulong so that it can be saved as one unit and reduce some
ifdefs in the code.

33a9a57d2c target/riscv: raise exception to HS-mode at get_physical_address
VS-stage translation at get_physical_address needs to translate pte
address by G-stage translation. But the G-stage translation error
can not be distinguished from VS-stage translation error in
riscv_cpu_tlb_fill. On migration, destination needs to rebuild pte,
and this G-stage translation error must be handled by HS-mode. So
introduce TRANSLATE_STAGE2_FAIL so that riscv_cpu_tlb_fill could
distinguish and raise it to HS-mode.

ace544532c target/riscv: Fix update of hstatus.SPVP
When trapping from virt into HS mode, hstatus.SPVP was set to
the value of sstatus.SPP, as according to the specification both

However, the assignment of SPVP takes place before SPP itself is
updated, which results in SPVP having an outdated value.

69430111ab riscv: Convert interrupt logs to use qemu_log_mask()
Currently we log interrupts and exceptions using the trace backend in
riscv_cpu_do_interrupt(). We also log exceptions using the interrupt log
mask (-d int) in riscv_raise_exception().

This patch converts riscv_cpu_do_interrupt() to log both interrupts and
exceptions with the interrupt log mask, so that both are printed when a
user runs QEMU with -d int.

740b175973 cpu-timers, icount: new modules
refactoring of cpus.c continues with cpu timer state extraction.

cpu-timers: responsible for the softmmu cpu timers state,
            including cpu clocks and ticks.

icount: counts the TCG instructions executed. As such it is specific to
the TCG accelerator. Therefore, it is built only under CONFIG_TCG.

One complication is due to qtest, which uses an icount field to warp time
as part of qtest (qtest_clock_warp).

In order to solve this problem, provide a separate counter for qtest.

This requires fixing assumptions scattered in the code that
qtest_enabled() implies icount_enabled(), checking each specific case.

d73415a315 qemu/atomic.h: rename atomic_ to qatomic_
clang's C11 atomic_fetch_*() functions only take a C11 atomic type
pointer argument. QEMU uses direct types (int, etc) and this causes a
compiler error when a QEMU code calls these functions in a source file
that also included <stdatomic.h> via a system header file:

  $ CC=clang CXX=clang++ ./configure ... && make
  ../util/async.c:79:17: error: address argument to atomic operation must be a pointer to _Atomic type ('unsigned int *' invalid)

Avoid using atomic_*() names in QEMU's atomic.h since that namespace is
used by <stdatomic.h>. Prefix QEMU's APIs with 'q' so that atomic.h
and <stdatomic.h> can co-exist. I checked /usr/include on my machine and
searched GitHub for existing "qatomic_" users but there seem to be none.

This patch was generated using:

  $ git grep -h -o '\<atomic\(64\)\?_[a-z0-9_]\+' include/qemu/atomic.h | \
    sort -u >/tmp/changed_identifiers
  $ for identifier in $(</tmp/changed_identifiers); do
        sed -i "s%\<$identifier\>%q$identifier%g" \
            $(git grep -I -l "\<$identifier\>")
    done

I manually fixed line-wrap issues and misaligned rST tables.

db1015e92e Move QOM typedefs and add missing includes
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros.
This makes it difficult to automatically replace their
definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE.

Patch generated using:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \
   --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName"
declarations.

Followed by:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \
    $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will:
- move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros
- add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary

fdd33b86b2 riscv: Fix bug in setting pmpcfg CSR for RISCV64
First, sizeof(target_ulong) equals to 4 on riscv32, so this change
does not change the function on riscv32. Second, sizeof(target_ulong)
equals to 8 on riscv64, and 'reg_index * 8 + i' is not a legal
pmp_index (we will explain later), which should be 'reg_index * 4 + i'.

If the parameter reg_index equals to 2 (means that we will change the
value of pmpcfg2, or the second pmpcfg on riscv64), then
pmpcfg_csr_write(env, 2, val) will map write tasks to
pmp_write_cfg(env, 2 * 8 + [0...7], val). However, no cfg csr is indexed
by value 16 or 23 on riscv64, so we consider it as a bug.

We are looking for constant (e.g., define a new constant named
RISCV_WORD_SIZE) in QEMU to help others understand code better,
but none was found. A possible good explanation of this literal is it is
the minimum word length on riscv is 4 bytes (32 bit).

139c1837db meson: rename included C source files to .c.inc
With Makefiles that have automatically generated dependencies, you
generated includes are set as dependencies of the Makefile, so that they
are built before everything else and they are available when first
building the .c files.

Alternatively you can use a fine-grained dependency, e.g.

        target/arm/translate.o: target/arm/decode-neon-shared.inc.c

With Meson you have only one choice and it is a third option, namely
"build at the beginning of the corresponding target"; the way you
express it is to list the includes in the sources of that target.

The problem is that Meson decides if something is a source vs. a
generated include by looking at the extension: '.c', '.cc', '.m', '.C'
are sources, while everything else is considered an include---including
'.inc.c'.

Use '.c.inc' to avoid this, as it is consistent with our other convention
of using '.rst.inc' for included reStructuredText files. The editorconfig
file is adjusted.

243af0225a trace: switch position of headers to what Meson requires
Meson doesn't enjoy the same flexibility we have with Make in choosing
the include path. In particular the tracing headers are using
$(build_root)/$(<D).

In order to keep the include directives unchanged,
the simplest solution is to generate headers with patterns like
"trace/trace-audio.h" and place forwarding headers in the source tree
such that for example "audio/trace.h" includes "trace/trace-audio.h".

This patch is too ugly to be applied to the Makefiles now. It's only
a way to separate the changes to the tracing header files from the
Meson rewrite of the tracing logic.

Vector strided operations access the first memory element at the base address,
and then access subsequent elements at address increments given by the byte

Vector unit-stride operations access elements stored contiguously in memory
starting from the base effective address. It can been seen as a special
case of strided operations.

ee79e7cd47 riscv: Fix Stage2 SV32 page table walk
As-per RISC-V H-Extension v0.5 draft, the Stage2 SV32 page table has
12bits of VPN[1] and 10bits of VPN[0]. The additional 2bits in VPN[1]
is required to handle the 34bit intermediate physical address coming
from Stage1 SV32 page table. The 12bits of VPN[1] implies that Stage2
SV32 level-0 page table will be 16KB in size with total 4096 enteries
where each entry maps 4MB of memory (same as Stage1 SV32 page table).

The get_physical_address() function is broken for Stage2 SV32 level-0
page table because it incorrectly computes output physical address for
Stage2 SV32 level-0 page table entry.

The root cause of the issue is that get_physical_address() uses the
"widened" variable to compute level-0 physical address mapping which
changes level-0 mapping size (instead of 4MB). We should use the
"widened" variable only for computing index of Stage2 SV32 level-0
page table.

781c67ca55 cpu: Use DeviceClass reset instead of a special CPUClass reset
The CPUClass has a 'reset' method. This is a legacy from when
TYPE_CPU used not to inherit from TYPE_DEVICE. We don't need it any
more, as we can simply use the TYPE_DEVICE reset. The 'cpu_reset()'
function is kept as the API which most places use to reset a CPU; it
is now a wrapper which calls device_cold_reset() and then the
tracepoint function.

This change should not cause CPU objects to be reset more often
than they are at the moment, because:
 * nobody is directly calling device_cold_reset() or
   qdev_reset_all() on CPU objects
 * no CPU object is on a qbus, so they will not be reset either
   by somebody calling qbus_reset_all()/bus_cold_reset(), or
   by the main "reset sysbus and everything in the qbus tree"
   reset that most devices are reset by

Note that this does not change the need for each machine or whatever
to use qemu_register_reset() to arrange to call cpu_reset() -- that
is necessary because CPU objects are not on any qbus, so they don't
get reset when the qbus tree rooted at the sysbus bus is reset, and
this isn't being changed here.

All the changes to the files under target/ were made using the
included Coccinelle script, except:

(1) the deletion of the now-inaccurate and not terribly useful
"CPUClass::reset" comments was done with a perl one-liner afterwards:
  perl -n -i -e '/ CPUClass::reset/ or print' target/*/*.c

(2) this bit of the s390 change was done by hand, because the
Coccinelle script is not sophisticated enough to handle the
parent_reset call being inside another function:

| @@ -96,8 +96,9 @@ static void s390_cpu_reset(CPUState *s, cpu_reset_type type)

The plugin system would throw up a harmless warning when it detected

This patch set contains a handful of collected fixes that I'd like to target
 for the 5.0 soft freeze (I know that's a long way away, I just don't know what
 else to call these):

 * A fix for a memory leak initializing the sifive_u board.
 * Fixes to privilege mode emulation related to interrupts and fstatus.

 Notably absent is the H extension implementation. That's pretty much reviewed,
 but not quite ready to go yet and I didn't want to hold back these important
 fixes. This boots 32-bit and 64-bit Linux (buildroot this time, just for fun)
 and passes "make check".

target/riscv: Fix tb->flags FS status
It was found that running libquantum on riscv-linux qemu produced an
incorrect result. After investigation, FP registers are not saved
during context switch due to incorrect mstatus.FS.

In current implementation tb->flags merges all non-disabled state to
dirty. This means the code in mark_fs_dirty in translate.c that
handles initial and clean states is unreachable.

This patch fixes it and is successfully tested with:
  libquantum

using pmp_hart_has_privs().
However, if the size is unknown (=0), the ending address will be
`addr - 1` as it is `addr + size - 1` in `pmp_hart_has_privs()`.
This always causes a false PMP violation on the starting address of the
range, as `addr - 1` is not in the range.

In order to fix, we just assume that all bytes from addr to the end of
the page will be accessed if the size is unknown.
