itojun 65363da25e Merge in NetBSD/sh3 from cvs.kame.net repository.
Tree structure:
- sys/arch/sh3: sh3 generic code
As commented, in-chip device drivers are put into sys/arch/sh3/dev.
- sys/arch/evbsh3: sh3 evaluation boards (pure sh3 CPU, no fancy external HW)
- sys/arch/mmeye: Brains mmEye, www.brains.co.jp
MI source code includes couple of #ifdef for sh3-coff support.
(sh3 uses coff or elf)

Needs some more improvements, especialy in sys/arch/sh3/conf/files.sh3,
to compile the tree (due to last minute tree structure change).

simonb a68944cfca Overhaul the tz SCSI tape driver:
+ Add a quirk table.
+ Assume all else is a modern drive that can do variable block
lengths (this is the main reason for this work - the old driver
only ever seemed to write 512 byte blocks!).
 + Keep track of values for mtget's mt_fileno, mt_blkno.
+ Handle a few extra MTIOCTOP commands.

Ideas gleaned from our MI scsi tape driver and the FreeBSD CAM tape
driver. Tested on a TKZ09 (DEC badged Exabyte 8500), a TLZ06 (DEC
DAT) and TK50.

Many thanks to Pierre Bergdolt for helping with testing.

unified transfer cleanup code, now in routine next_dma_finish_xfer()

dbj 3c215084bc discovered the purpose of another bit in the dma control register.
DMACSR_READ is now a CSR status bit which can be used to know if current transfer is
from cpu to device.
the old DMACSR_READ bit is renamed DMACSR_SETREAD. This is a control bit that tells
the dma transfer to be from cpu to device.

kleink 5663256d0a Unlike in an i386 a.out assembler, where in an .align n directive n is meant
to be the logarithm to base 2 of the alignment, in an ELF environment n is
the actual alignment boundary; thus, adjust the directives accordingly.

Albeit the wonderful i386 architecture doesn't mind the smaller alignment in
an obvious way, it is likely to have resulted in some performance penalty
during the a.out->ELF transition.

chs bb0c381fb9 two changes to prevent the kernel's pmap from being locked recursively
via interrupts:

(1) pmap_map_ptes() and pmap_unmap_ptes() don't need to do anything to

thorpej eb20bbc780 Change the semantics of splsoftclock() to be like other spl*() functions,
that is priority is rasied. Add a new spllowersoftclock() to provide the
atomic drop-to-softclock semantics that the old splsoftclock() provided,
and update calls accordingly.

This fixes a problem with using the "rnd" pseudo-device from within
interrupt context to extract random data (e.g. from within the softnet
interrupt) where doing so would incorrectly unblock interrupts (causing
all sorts of lossage).

XXX 4 platforms do not have priority-raising capability: newsmips, sparc,
XXX sparc64, and VAX. This platforms still have this bug until their
XXX spl*() functions are fixed.
