c4181ec121 Update sgimips portions of release notes to more closely match reality, esp. 
after the removal of the kern-GENERIC set from sysinst.  While here, fix up
some minor things (wording, bad markup, typoes) in the non-sgimips specific
common portions.

80505e4ddb define new macro - ".setsize x y" - to print "x MB gzipped, y MB compressed" 
and update various size displays appropriately (based in information
obtained from latest autobuild).

XXX: alpha info is now missing, as well as a bunch of x11 sets for
various platforms.

ca9abebadb Update macppc filenames based on files in latest snapshot (20020407). 
That is, netbsd.ram.gz becomes either netbsd.INSTALL.gz or
netbsd.GENERIC_MD.gz depending on what media (and Open Firmware version).

Also, a few minor rewordings to clarify a little better.

ed8e534c7e yet another distrib overhaul: 
- move guts of distrib/Makefile.inc to distrib/common/Makefile.distrib
  (fixes problem caused by implicit include of ../Makefile.inc in certain
  submake conditions triggered by makefiles not yet in tree)
- removed mkdir of ${RELEASEDIR}/*;  rely upon "snap_pre" target of
  etc/Makefile to create all the release directories
- renamed RELINSTALL to RELEASE_INSTALL
- renamed FLOPPYINSTDIR to FLOPPY_RELEASEDIR
- renamed MDSETDIR to MDSET_RELEASEDIR
- removed ITARGET
- move release target from top level to appropriate subdirectory
- ensure release target has correct depends

4359ad3c2d Convert the bulk of the prep.RISCOS file into -mdoc. This is a purely 
syntactic conversion -- the semantics should be exactly the same.

I haven't yet converted section 5 (advanced stuff), appendix A (device
naming) or appendix B (credits), and mdoc, even the souped-up version used
for INSTALL, seems to be lacking a fourth-level header macro, which this
wants.

Of course, the presence of fourth-level headers does somewhat indicate that
this whole area wants cleaning up lots.

4108470a24 Expand tabulators in .Bd -literal section, containing required irq/drq/io 
settings for devices.  This is so that the resulting .html file renders
as expected, instead of having the tabulated text coloumns flush against
the right margin, at least when viewed with Netscape 4.77.

ff83c8aba1 track change in -mdoc2html, and set DOC_XR so that .Xr macros don't 
actually generate hypertext links to the man pages, like they do
know when the pages themselves are formatted. The obvious problem
is that if you aren't a man page, you don't know where the man
pages are.

353e1ce493 Clean this up for a proper cross-build setup. 
1. Replace all "groff"'s with $GROFF so the right binary is picked up depending
on new or old toolchain setups and USETOOLS
2. Remove the DESTDIR check where it adds -M. This is pointless as some of the
file in share/tmac have hard coded references to /usr/share/tmac so using the
new ones in $DESTDIR will just point you back into /usr/share anyways...
(the new toolchain has no issue here as it's tmac files all point into
$TOOLDIR. Any old setups should just depend on the local setup instead of
some mix of DESTDIR and old files the -M would have produced).
