augustss b540959734 Add framework for Ir devices. The irframe device is for delivering IrDA
frame to user land and the cir device is for consumer Ir (remote controls).

This code is only partially finished, but the irframe device works (given
a low level driver for the actual IrDA device).

tsutsui 163114ab3c Implement pmap_kenter_pa() and pmap_kremove() properly.
This should fix `kernel diagnostic assertion "rv" failed' panic
and the problem was tracked down by tsubai.
Also add small optimization in pmap_enter() and pmap_remove(), from tsubai.

martin 6e766675c6 Fail early when trying to identify a pppoe interface softc (from a
HOST UNIQUE token) and our list of interfaces is empty. Without this
test an unitinalized pointer may be dereferenced.

bjh21 a7297d1928 Slight tweak to AST handling logic -- on return from ast_handler(),
IRQs are enabled, so we have to disable them again before checking
astpending.

bjh21 15d94a4c59 On a VT100, the "scanline 5" character is also used for box drawing, so
represent it as U+2500 (BOX DRAWINGS LIGHT HORIZONTAL).  This makes NetHack
DECgraphics mode work properly on a wscons console using an IBM-encoded font.

fredette f1673ae4dd Abstract out a large chunk of the kernel build machinery so that new
build features (such as ross's DEBUGLIST) can easily be applied to all
ports.  This should reduce the complexity of each port's kernel
Makefile considerably.

thorpej 216b9b2ea6 - Don't enable FIQs; nothing uses them (yet).
- Steer i80200 PMU and BCU interrupts to IRQ# (for lack of a better
  place, at the moment).
- Disable all interrupts other than external-IRQ# in the i80200 ICU;
  we don't deal with any of the others, yet.

thorpej 2b08dcc43b Clarify a comment to state that it is intentional that we attach
only the Secondary PCI bus (it's the only bus which can have a
device space hidden from any PCI host on the Primary bus).

Also, use the bus number from the PPB businfo register seecondary bus
field rather than hard-coding "1".

christos 420771d7cc PR/14781: Matthew Fredette: Clamp the number of read-ahead pages to 16 because
other code has this limit. Also while I am here, convert the magic 16 into
a #define constant and use it in the appropriate places. This is a temporary
fix, since all this read-ahead business is XXXUBC anyway.

- Hard-wire the location of some of the on-board PCI devices.

  the on-board Ethernet.

bjh21 de5af1d829 Add "options FLASHYTHING", which causes IPL changes to trigger screen border
colour changes.  This gives quite a good real-time visual impression of what
the system's doing at reasonable overhead.

christos 4328373c61 Introduce struct uucred which is our ``old'' ucred structure. This is
going to be used the kernel interfaces to userland, so that we don't
break the existing ABI. struct ucred has now been modified to have

thorpej 636e9cd08b Add a "cacheline_size" argument to pci_configure_bus(). It is used
to set the cacheline size in the BHLC register.  This should be the
size of the largest D-cache line on a system.

manu 7839e13a9c On IRIX, the first 88 system calls are quite plain SVR4, and the 137
remaining are IRIX specific. We know use SVR4 emulation for the first 88

lukem ecb81c3f6d - convert usage of "defopt" to "defflag" where the relevant option does
not support a value (e.g., it's to be used as "options FOO" instead of
  "options FOO=xxx"). options that take a value were converted to
  defparam recently.

atatat df7d7405f8 Alter the way that LINKTEXT and LINKDATA (and LINKENTRY) are set so
that empty values for TEXTADDR and DATAADDR (and ENTRYPOINT) will not
screw things up.  Add support for SYSTEM_LD_TAIL_EXTRA which some
ports (not yet converted) are using.  Add support for GENASSYM_EXTRAS
which has just been added to (some of) the arm ports.

bouyer 1cd410986d In cn_get_magic() don't increment i in the for(;;) loop, as it's already
set to point to the next value with CNS_MAGIC_NEXT().
Now it's obvious that the magic string on my U5 is +++++ and not +++ :)

jdolecek 577b809930 crfree(): add DIAGNOSTIC sanity check of cr_ref; unfortunately, if the memory
is freed prematurely the check won't be triggered immediatelly, probably
since the memory is likely to be reused fast; but it _would_ be triggered
eventually

fredette f0002ba642 Added macros for the bits in the SYSBUS byte, and macros
for the i82596 PORT access interface, from the documentation
for that chip.  These help clarify writes to the SYSBUS
part of the SCP, and PORT usage by i82596-aware drivers.
