404e75343c hw/gpio/aspeed: Support different memory region ops
It set "aspeed_gpio_ops" struct which containing read and write callbacks
to be used when I/O is performed on the GPIO region.

Besides, in the previous design of ASPEED SOCs, one register is used for
setting one function for 32 GPIO pins.
ex: GPIO000 is used for setting data value for GPIO A, B, C and D in AST2600.
ex: GPIO004 is used for setting direction for GPIO A, B, C and D in AST2600.

However, the register set have a significant change in AST2700.
Each GPIO pin has their own control register. In other words, users are able to
set one GPIO pin’s direction, interrupt enable, input mask and so on
in one register. The aspeed_gpio_read/aspeed_gpio_write callback functions
are not compatible AST2700.

Introduce a new "const MemoryRegionOps *" attribute in AspeedGPIOClass and
use it in aspeed_gpio_realize function.

9422dbd10b hw/gpio/aspeed: Support to set the different memory size
According to the datasheet of ASPEED SOCs, a GPIO controller owns 4KB of
register space for AST2700, AST2500, AST2400 and AST1030; owns 2KB of
register space for AST2600 1.8v and owns 2KB of register space for
AST2600 3.3v.

It set the memory region size 2KB by default and it does not compatible
register space for AST2700.

Introduce a new class attribute to set the GPIO controller memory size
for different ASPEED SOCs.

87511bb878 hw/gpio/aspeed: Add reg_table_count to AspeedGPIOClass
ASan detected a global-buffer-overflow error in the aspeed_gpio_read()
function. This issue occurred when reading beyond the bounds of the
reg_table.

To enhance the safety and maintainability of the Aspeed GPIO code, this commit
introduces a reg_table_count member to the AspeedGPIOClass structure. This
change ensures that the size of the GPIO register table is explicitly tracked
and initialized, reducing the risk of errors if new register tables are
introduced in the future.

6328d8ffa6 misc/pca955*: Move models under hw/gpio
The PCA9552 and PCA9554 devices are both I2C GPIO controllers and the
PCA9552 also can drive LEDs. Do all the necessary adjustments to move
the models under hw/gpio.

4cbb1513a2 hw/gpio: introduce pcf8574 driver
NXP PCF8574 and compatible ICs are simple I2C GPIO expanders.
PCF8574 incorporates quasi-bidirectional IO, and simple
communication protocol, when IO read is I2C byte read, and
IO write is I2C byte write. User can think of it as
open-drain port, when line high state is input and line low
state is output.

1cdcfb6e93 hw/gpio: Implement STM32L4x5 GPIO
Features supported :
- the 8 STM32L4x5 GPIOs are initialized with their reset values
    (except IDR, see below)
- input mode : setting a pin in input mode "externally" (using input
    irqs) results in an out irq (transmitted to SYSCFG)
- output mode : setting a bit in ODR sets the corresponding out irq
    (if this line is configured in output mode)
- pull-up, pull-down
- push-pull, open-drain

Difference with the real GPIOs :
- Alternate Function and Analog mode aren't implemented :
    pins in AF/Analog behave like pins in input mode
- floating pins stay at their last value
- register IDR reset values differ from the real one :
    values are coherent with the other registers reset values
    and the fact that AF/Analog modes aren't implemented
- setting I/O output speed isn't supported
- locking port bits isn't supported
- ADC function isn't supported
- GPIOH has 16 pins instead of 2 pins
- writing to registers LCKR, AFRL, AFRH and ASCR is ineffective

8d6b2f947d hw/gpio/nrf51: implement DETECT signal
Implement nRF51 DETECT signal in the GPIO peripheral.

The reference manual makes mention of a per-pin DETECT signal, but these
are not exposed to the user. See https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/39858/gpio-per-pin-detect-signal-available
for more information. Currently, I don't see a reason to model these.

87bd33e8b0 hw: aspeed_gpio: Fix GPIO array indexing
The gpio array is declared as a dense array:

  qemu_irq gpios[ASPEED_GPIO_NR_PINS];

(AST2500 has 228, AST2400 has 216, AST2600 has 208)

However, this array is used like a matrix of GPIO sets
(e.g. gpio[NR_SETS][NR_PINS_PER_SET] = gpio[8][32])

  size_t offset = set * GPIOS_PER_SET + gpio;
  qemu_set_irq(s->gpios[offset], !!(new & mask));

This can result in an out-of-bounds access to "s->gpios" because the
gpio sets do _not_ have the same length. Some of the groups (e.g.
GPIOAB) only have 4 pins. 228 != 8 * 32 == 256.

To fix this, I converted the gpio array from dense to sparse, to that
match both the hardware layout and this existing indexing code.

526dbbe087 hw/gpio: Add GPIO model for Nuvoton NPCM7xx
The NPCM7xx chips have multiple GPIO controllers that are mostly
identical except for some minor differences like the reset values of
some registers. Each controller controls up to 32 pins.

Each individual pin is modeled as a pair of unnamed GPIOs -- one for
emitting the actual pin state, and one for driving the pin externally.
Like the nRF51 GPIO controller, a gpio level may be negative, which
means the pin is not driven, or floating.

4921a0ce86 hw/riscv: Move sifive_gpio model to hw/gpio
This is an effort to clean up the hw/riscv directory. Ideally it
should only contain the RISC-V SoC / machine codes plus generic
codes. Let's move sifive_gpio model to hw/gpio directory.

Note this also removes the trace-events in the hw/riscv directory,
since gpio is the only supported trace target in that directory.

c8aeef3aed nrf51: Fix last GPIO CNF address
NRF51_GPIO_REG_CNF_END doesn't actually refer to the start of the last
valid CNF register: it's referring to the last byte of the last valid
CNF register.

This hasn't been a problem up to now, as current implementation in
memory.c turns an unaligned 4-byte read from 0x77f to a single byte read
and the qtest only looks at the least-significant byte of the register.

But when running with patches which fix unaligned accesses in memory.c,
the qtest breaks.

Considering NRF51 doesn't support unaligned accesses, the simplest fix
is to actually set NRF51_GPIO_REG_CNF_END to the start of the last valid
CNF register: 0x77c.

Now, qtests work with or without the unaligned access patches.

4b7f956862 hw/gpio: Add basic Aspeed GPIO model for AST2400 and AST2500
GPIO pins are arranged in groups of 8 pins labeled A,B,..,Y,Z,AA,AB,AC.
(Note that the ast2400 controller only goes up to group AB).
A set has four groups (except set AC which only has one) and is
referred to by the groups it is composed of (eg ABCD,EFGH,...,YZAAAB).
Each set is accessed and controlled by a bank of 14 registers.

These registers operate on a per pin level where each bit in the register
corresponds to a pin, except for the command source registers. The command
source registers operate on a per group level where bits 24, 16, 8 and 0
correspond to each group in the set.

 eg. registers for set ABCD:
 |D7...D0|C7...C0|B7...B0|A7...A0| <- GPIOs
 |31...24|23...16|15....8|7.....0| <- bit position

Note that there are a couple of groups that only have 4 pins.

There are two ways that this model deviates from the behaviour of the
actual controller:
(1) The only control source driving the GPIO pins in the model is the ARM

ec150c7e09 include: Make headers more self-contained
Back in 2016, we discussed[1] rules for headers, and these were
generally liked:

1. Have a carefully curated header that's included everywhere first.  We
   got that already thanks to Peter: osdep.h.

2. Headers should normally include everything they need beyond osdep.h.
   If exceptions are needed for some reason, they must be documented in
   the header.  If all that's needed from a header is typedefs, put
   those into qemu/typedefs.h instead of including the header.

3. Cyclic inclusion is forbidden.

This patch gets include/ closer to obeying 2.

It's actually extracted from my "[RFC] Baby steps towards saner
headers" series[2], which demonstrates a possible path towards
checking 2 automatically.  It passes the RFC test there.

This adds a model of the nRF51 GPIO peripheral.

The nRF51 series microcontrollers support up to 32 GPIO pins in various configurations.
The pins can be used as input pins with pull-ups or pull-down.
Furthermore, three different output driver modes per level are
available (disconnected, standard, high-current).

The GPIO-Peripheral has a mechanism for detecting level changes which is
not featured in this model.

f1f7e4bf76 i.MX: add support for lower and upper interrupt in GPIO.
The i.MX6 GPIO device supports 2 interrupts instead of one.

* 1 for the lower 16 GPIOs.
* 1 for the upper 16 GPIOs.

i.MX31 and i.MX25 only support 1 interrupt for the 32 GPIOs.

So we add a property to turn the behavior on when required.
