tpm_crb is a device for TPM 2.0 Command Response Buffer (CRB)
Interface as defined in TCG PC Client Platform TPM Profile (PTP)
Specification Family “2.0” Level 00 Revision 01.03 v22.
The PTP allows device implementation to switch between TIS and CRB
model at run time, but given that CRB is a simpler device to
implement, I chose to implement it as a different device.
The device doesn't implement other locality than 0 for now (my laptop
TPM doesn't either, so I assume this isn't so bad)
Tested with some success with Linux upstream and Windows 10, seabios &
modified ovmf. The device is recognized and correctly transmit
command/response with passthrough & emu. However, we are missing PPI
ACPI part atm.

The TPM backend uses a GThreadPool to handle IO in a seperate
thread. However, GThreadPool isn't integrated with Qemu main loops,
making it unnecessarily complicated to deal with.
Qemu has a AIO threadpool, that is better integrated with loops and
various IO functions, provides completion BH by default etc.
Remove the only user of GThreadPool from qemu, use AIO threadpool.
Note that the backend:
- no longer accepts queing multiple requests (unneeded so far)
- increase ref to itself when handling a command, for extra safety
- tpm_backend_thread_end() is renamed tpm_backend_finish_sync() and
will wait for completion of BH (request_completed), which will help
migration handling.

This file begins tracking the files that will be the code base for HVF
support in QEMU. This code base is part of Google's QEMU version of
their Android emulator, and can be found at
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/external/qemu/+/emu-master-dev
This code is based on Veertu Inc's vdhh (Veertu Desktop Hosted
Hypervisor), found at https://github.com/veertuinc/vdhh. Everything is
appropriately licensed under GPL v2-or-later, except for the code inside
x86_task.c and x86_task.h, which, deriving from KVM (the Linux kernel),
is licensed GPL v2-only.
This code base already implements a very great deal of functionality,
although Google's version removed from Vertuu's the support for APIC
page and hyperv-related stuff. According to the Android Emulator Release
Notes, Revision 26.1.3 (August 2017), "Hypervisor.framework is now
enabled by default on macOS for 32-bit x86 images to improve performance
and macOS compatibility", although we better use with caution for, as the
same Revision warns us, "If you experience issues with it specifically,
please file a bug report...". The code hasn't seen much update in the
last 5 months, so I think that we can further develop the code with
occasional visiting Google's repository to see if there has been any
update.
On top of Google's code, the following changes were made:
- add code to the configure script to support the --enable-hvf argument.
If the OS is Darwin, it checks for presence of HVF in the system. The
patch also adds strings related to HVF in the file qemu-options.hx.
QEMU will only support the modern syntax style '-M accel=hvf' no enable
hvf; the legacy '-enable-hvf' will not be supported.
- fix styling issues
- add glue code to cpus.c
- move HVFX86EmulatorState field to CPUX86State, changing the
the emulation functions to have a parameter with signature 'CPUX86State *'
instead of 'CPUState *' so we don't have to get the 'env'.

The relevant code from iothread_run() is:
while (!atomic_read(&iothread->stopping)) {
aio_poll(iothread->ctx, true);
and iothread_stop():
iothread->stopping = true;
aio_notify(iothread->ctx);
...
qemu_thread_join(&iothread->thread);
The following scenario can occur:
1. IOThread:
while (!atomic_read(&iothread->stopping)) -> stopping=false
2. Main loop:
iothread->stopping = true;
aio_notify(iothread->ctx);
3. IOThread:
aio_poll(iothread->ctx, true); -> hang
The bug is explained by the AioContext->notify_me doc comments:
"If this field is 0, everything (file descriptors, bottom halves,
timers) will be re-evaluated before the next blocking poll(), thus the
event_notifier_set call can be skipped."
The problem is that "everything" does not include checking
iothread->stopping. This means iothread_run() will block in aio_poll()
if aio_notify() was called just before aio_poll().
This patch fixes the hang by replacing aio_notify() with
aio_bh_schedule_oneshot(). This makes aio_poll() or g_main_loop_run()
to return.
Implementing this properly required a new bool running flag. The new
flag prevents races that are tricky if we try to use iothread->stopping.
Now iothread->stopping is purely for iothread_stop() and
iothread->running is purely for the iothread_run() thread.

configured tpm options.

On a server-class ppc host, this capability depends on the KVM type,
ie, HV or PR. If both KVM are present in the kernel, we will always
get the HV specific value, even if we explicitely requested PR on
the command line.
This can have an impact if we're using hugepages or a balloon device.
Since we've already created the VM at the time any user calls
kvm_has_sync_mmu(), switching to kvm_vm_check_extension() is
enough to fix any potential issue.
It is okay for the other archs that also implement KVM_CAP_SYNC_MMU,
ie, mips, s390, x86 and arm, because they don't depend on the VM being
created or not.
While here, let's cache the state of this extension in a bool variable,
since it has several users in the code, as suggested by Thomas Huth.

When running with KVM enabled, you can choose between emulating the
gic in kernel or user space. If the kernel supports in-kernel virtualization
of the interrupt controller, it will default to that. If not, if will
default to user space emulation.
Unfortunately when running in user mode gic emulation, we miss out on
interrupt events which are only available from kernel space, such as the timer.
This patch leverages the new kernel/user space pending line synchronization for
timer events. It does not handle PMU events yet.

As a rule, CPU internal state should never be updated when
!cpu->kvm_vcpu_dirty (or the HAX equivalent). If that is done, then
subsequent calls to cpu_synchronize_state() - usually safe and idempotent -
will clobber state.
However, we routinely do this during a loadvm or incoming migration.
Usually this is called shortly after a reset, which will clear all the cpu
dirty flags with cpu_synchronize_all_post_reset(). Nothing is expected
to set the dirty flags again before the cpu state is loaded from the
incoming stream.
This means that it isn't safe to call cpu_synchronize_state() from a
post_load handler, which is non-obvious and potentially inconvenient.
We could cpu_synchronize_all_state() before the loadvm, but that would be
overkill since a) we expect the state to already be synchronized from the
reset and b) we expect to completely rewrite the state with a call to
cpu_synchronize_all_post_init() at the end of qemu_loadvm_state().
To clear this up, this patch introduces cpu_synchronize_pre_loadvm() and
associated helpers, which simply marks the cpu state as dirty without
actually changing anything. i.e. it says we want to discard any existing
KVM (or HAX) state and replace it with what we're going to load.

Libvirt would like to be able to distinguish between a SHUTDOWN
event triggered solely by guest request and one triggered by a
SIGTERM or other action on the host. While qemu_kill_report() was
already able to give different output to stderr based on whether a
shutdown was triggered by a host signal (but NOT by a host UI event,
such as clicking the X on the window), that information was then
lost to management. The previous patches improved things to use an
enum throughout all callsites, so now we have something ready to
expose through QMP.
Note that for now, the decision was to expose ONLY a boolean,
rather than promoting ShutdownCause to a QAPI enum; this is because
libvirt has not expressed an interest in anything finer-grained.
We can still add additional details, in a backwards-compatible
manner, if a need later arises (if the addition happens before 2.10,
we can replace the bool with an enum; otherwise, the enum will have
to be in addition to the bool); this patch merely adds a helper
shutdown_caused_by_guest() to map the internal enum into the
external boolean.
Update expected iotest outputs to match the new data (complete
coverage of the affected tests is obtained by -raw, -qcow2, and -nbd).
Here is output from 'virsh qemu-monitor-event --loop' with the
patch installed:
event SHUTDOWN at 1492639680.731251 for domain fedora_13: {"guest":true}
event STOP at 1492639680.732116 for domain fedora_13: <null>
event SHUTDOWN at 1492639680.732830 for domain fedora_13: {"guest":false}
Note that libvirt runs qemu with -no-shutdown: the first SHUTDOWN event
was triggered by an action I took directly in the guest (shutdown -h),
at which point qemu stops the vcpus and waits for libvirt to do any
final cleanups; the second SHUTDOWN event is the result of libvirt
sending SIGTERM now that it has completed cleanup. Libvirt is already
smart enough to only feed the first qemu SHUTDOWN event to the end user
(remember, virsh qemu-monitor-event is a low-level debugging interface
that is explicitly unsupported by libvirt, so it sees things that normal
end users do not); changing qemu to emit SHUTDOWN only once is outside
the scope of this series.

Time to wire up all the call sites that request a shutdown or
reset to use the enum added in the previous patch.
It would have been less churn to keep the common case with no
arguments as meaning guest-triggered, and only modified the
host-triggered code paths, via a wrapper function, but then we'd
still have to audit that I didn't miss any host-triggered spots;
changing the signature forces us to double-check that I correctly
categorized all callers.
Since command line options can change whether a guest reset request
causes an actual reset vs. a shutdown, it's easy to also add the
information to reset requests.

With the recent addition of ShutdownCause, we want to be able to pass
a cause through any shutdown request, and then faithfully replay that
cause when later replaying the same sequence. The easiest way is to
expand the reply event mechanism to track a series of values for
EVENT_SHUTDOWN, one corresponding to each value of ShutdownCause.
We are free to change the replay stream as needed, since there are
already no guarantees about being able to use a replay stream by
any other version of qemu than the one that generated it.
The cause is not actually fed back until the next patch changes the
signature for requesting a shutdown; a TODO marks that upcoming change.

We want to track why a guest was shutdown; in particular, being able
to tell the difference between a guest request (such as ACPI request)
and host request (such as SIGINT) will prove useful to libvirt.
Since all requests eventually end up changing shutdown_requested in
vl.c, the logical change is to make that value track the reason,
rather than its current 0/1 contents.
Since command-line options control whether a reset request is turned
into a shutdown request instead, the same treatment is given to
reset_requested.
This patch adds an internal enum ShutdownCause that describes reasons
that a shutdown can be requested, and changes qemu_system_reset() to
pass the reason through, although for now nothing is actually changed
with regards to what gets reported. The enum could be exported via
QAPI at a later date, if deemed necessary, but for now, there has not
been a request to expose that much detail to end clients.
For the most part, we turn 0 into SHUTDOWN_CAUSE_NONE, and 1 into
SHUTDOWN_CAUSE_HOST_ERROR; the only specific case where we have enough
information right now to use a different value is when we are reacting
to a host signal. It will take a further patch to edit all call-sites
that can trigger a reset or shutdown request to properly pass in any
other reasons; this patch includes TODOs to point such places out.
qemu_system_reset() trades its 'bool report' parameter for a
'ShutdownCause reason', with all non-zero values having the same
effect; this lets us get rid of the weird #defines for VMRESET_*
as synonyms for bools.

The Xen mapcache is able to create long term mappings, they are called
"locked" mappings. The third parameter of the xen_map_cache call
specifies if a mapping is a "locked" mapping.
>From the QEMU point of view there are two kinds of long term mappings:
[a] device memory mappings, such as option roms and video memory
[b] dma mappings, created by dma_memory_map & friends
After certain operations, ballooning a VM in particular, Xen asks QEMU
kindly to destroy all mappings. However, certainly [a] mappings are
present and cannot be removed. That's not a problem as they are not
affected by balloonning. The *real* problem is that if there are any
mappings of type [b], any outstanding dma operations could fail. This is
a known shortcoming. In other words, when Xen asks QEMU to destroy all
mappings, it is an error if any [b] mappings exist.
However today we have no way of distinguishing [a] from [b]. Because of
that, we cannot even print a decent warning.
This patch introduces a new "dma" bool field to MapCacheRev entires, to
remember if a given mapping is for dma or is a long term device memory
mapping. When xen_invalidate_map_cache is called, we print a warning if
any [b] mappings exist. We ignore [a] mappings.
Mappings created by qemu_map_ram_ptr are assumed to be [a], while
mappings created by address_space_map->qemu_ram_ptr_length are assumed
to be [b].
The goal of the patch is to make debugging and system understanding

Originally CPU threads were by default assigned in
round-robin fashion. However it was causing issues in
guest since CPU threads from the same socket/core could
be placed on different NUMA nodes.
Commit fb43b73b (pc: fix default VCPU to NUMA node mapping)
fixed it by grouping threads within a socket on the same node
introducing cpu_index_to_socket_id() callback and commit
20bb648d (spapr: Fix default NUMA node allocation for threads)
reused callback to fix similar issues for SPAPR machine
even though socket doesn't make much sense there.
As result QEMU ended up having 3 default distribution rules
used by 3 targets /virt-arm, spapr, pc/.
In effort of moving NUMA mapping for CPUs into possible_cpus,
generalize default mapping in numa.c by making boards decide
on default mapping and let them explicitly tell generic
numa code to which node a CPU thread belongs to by replacing
cpu_index_to_socket_id() with @cpu_index_to_instance_props()
which provides default node_id assigned by board to specified
cpu_index.

When there are more nodes than available memory to put the minimum
allowed memory by node, all the memory is put on the last node.
This is because we put (ram_size / nb_numa_nodes) &
~((1 << mc->numa_mem_align_shift) - 1); on each node, and in this
case the value is 0. This is particularly true with pseries,
as the memory must be aligned to 256MB.
To avoid this problem, this patch uses an error diffusion algorithm [1]
to distribute equally the memory on nodes.
We introduce numa_auto_assign_ram() function in MachineClass

The legacy function is used with pseries-2.9, pc-q35-2.9 and

Block backends defined with -drive if=ide are meant to be picked up by
machine initialization code: a suitable frontend gets created and
wired up automatically.
if=ide drives not picked up that way can still be used with -device as
if they had if=none, but that's unclean and best avoided. Unused ones
produce an "Orphaned drive without device" warning.
-drive parameter "if" is optional, and the default depends on the
machine type. If a machine type doesn't specify a default, the
default is "ide".
Many machine types implicitly default to if=ide that way, even though
they don't actually have an IDE controller. This makes no sense.

ChardevCommon *backend settings.
The CharDriver::create() callback is turned into a ChardevClass::open()

"chardev-gdb" and "chardev-hci" are internal chardev and aren't
creatable directly with -chardev. Use a new internal flag to disable

perhaps allow -chardev usage.
Although in general we keep typename and macros private, unless the type
is being used by some other file, in this patch, all types and common

CharDriverState, it is more appropriate to store in CharBackend. This
avoids the handler copy dance in qemu_chr_fe_set_handlers() then
mux_chr_update_read_handler(), by storing the CharBackend pointer
directly.
Also a mux CharDriver should go through mux->backends[focused], since
chr->be will stay NULL. Before that, it was possible to call

Make qemu_chr_add_handlers_full() aware of mux handling. This allows
introduction of a tag associated with the fe handlers and a
qemu_chr_set_handlers() function to set the handler for a particular
tag. That will allow to get rid of qemu_chr_add_handlers*() in later
changes, in favor of qemu_chr_fe_set_handler().
To this end, chr_update_read_handler callback is enhanced with a tag
argument, and mux_chr_update_read_handler() is splitted in new

Code using chardevs should not be poking at the internals of the
CharDriverState struct. What vhost-user wants is a chardev that is
operating as reconnectable network service, along with the ability
to do FD passing over the connection. The colo code simply wants
a network service. Add a feature concept to the char drivers so
that chardev users can query the actual features they wish to have
supported. The QemuOpts member is removed to prevent future mistakes
in this area.

Almost all block devices are qdevified by now. This allows us to go back
from the BlockBackend to the DeviceState. xen_disk is the last device
that is missing. We'll remember in the BlockBackend if a xen_disk is
attached and can then disable any features that require going from a BB
to the DeviceState.
While at it, clearly mark the function used by xen_disk as legacy even
in its name, not just in TODO comments.

Recently we moved a few options from QemuOptsLists in blockdev.c to
bdrv_runtime_opts in block.c in order to make them accissble using
blockdev-add. However, this has the side effect that these options are
missing from query-command-line-options now, and libvirt consequently
disables the corresponding feature.
This problem was reported as a regression for the 'discard' option,
introduced in commit 818584a4. However, it is more general than that.
Fix it by adding bdrv_runtime_opts to the list of QemuOptsLists that are
returned in query-command-line-options. For the future, libvirt is
advised to use QMP schema introspection for block device options.

A number of different places across the code base use CONFIG_UUID. Some
of them are soft dependency, some are not built if libuuid is not
available, some come with dummy fallback, some throws runtime error.
It is hard to maintain, and hard to reason for users.
Since UUID is a simple standard with only a small number of operations,
it is cleaner to have a central support in libqemuutil. This patch adds
qemu_uuid_* functions that all uuid users in the code base can
rely on. Except for qemu_uuid_generate which is new code, all other
functions are just copy from existing fallbacks from other files.
Note that qemu_uuid_parse is moved without updating the function
signature to use QemuUUID, to keep this patch simple.

Right after main_loop ends, we release various things but keep iothread
alive. The latter is not prepared to the sudden change of resources.
Specifically, after bdrv_close_all(), virtio-scsi dataplane get a
surprise at the empty BlockBackend:
(gdb) bt
at /usr/src/debug/qemu-2.6.0/hw/scsi/virtio-scsi.c:543
at /usr/src/debug/qemu-2.6.0/hw/scsi/virtio-scsi.c:577
It is because the d->conf.blk->root is set to NULL, then
blk_get_aio_context() returns qemu_aio_context, whereas s->ctx is still
pointing to the iothread:
hw/scsi/virtio-scsi.c:543:
if (s->dataplane_started) {
assert(blk_get_aio_context(d->conf.blk) == s->ctx);
}
To fix this, let's stop iothreads before doing bdrv_close_all().

Let's provide a standardized interface to baseline two CPU models, to
create a third, compatible one. This is especially helpful when two
CPU models are not identical, but a CPU model is required that is
guaranteed to run under both configurations, where the original models run.
"query-cpu-model-baseline" takes two CPU models and returns a third,
compatible model. The result will always be a static CPU model.

Let's provide a standardized interface to compare two CPU models.
"query-cpu-model-compare" takes two models and returns how they compare
in a specific configuration.
The result will give guarantees about runnability. E.g. if a CPU model A
is a subset of CPU model B, model A is guaranteed to run in configurations
where model B runs, but not the other way around (might or might not run).
Usually, CPU features or CPU generations are used to calculate the result.
If a model is not guaranteed to run in a certain environment (e.g.
incompatible), a compatible one can be created by "baselining" both models
(follow up patch).

Let's provide a standardized interface to expand CPU models. This interface
can be used by tooling to get details about a specific CPU model in a
certain configuration, e.g. about the "host" model.
To take care of all architectures, two detail levels for an expansion
are introduced. Certain architectures might not support all detail levels.
While "full" will expand and indicate all relevant properties/features
of a CPU model, "static" expands to a static base CPU model, that will
never change between QEMU versions and therefore have the same features
when used under different compatibility machines.

In order to remove the necessity to use BlockBackend names in the
external API, we want to allow node-names everywhere. This converts
block-stream to accept a node-name without lifting the restriction that
we're operating at a root node.
In case of an invalid device name, the command returns the GenericError
error class now instead of DeviceNotFound, because this is what
qmp_get_root_bs() returns.

Adding two hooks to be notified when adding/removing msi routes. There
are two kinds of MSI routes:
- in kvm_irqchip_add_irq_route(): before assigning IRQFD. Used by
vhost, vfio, etc.
- in kvm_irqchip_send_msi(): when sending direct MSI message, if
direct MSI not allowed, we will first create one MSI route entry
in the kernel, then trigger it.
This patch only hooks the first one (irqfd case). We do not need to
take care for the 2nd one, since it's only used by QEMU userspace
(kvm-apic) and the messages will always do in-time translation when
triggered. While we need to note them down for the 1st one, so that we
can notify the kernel when cache invalidation happens.
Also, we do not hook IOAPIC msi routes (we have explicit notifier for
IOAPIC to keep its cache updated). We only need to care about irqfd
users.

The KVM API restricts vcpu ids to be < KVM_CAP_MAX_VCPUS. On PowerPC
targets, depending on the number of threads per core in the host and
in the guest, some topologies do generate higher vcpu ids actually.
When this happens, QEMU bails out with the following error:

The KVM_CREATE_VCPU ioctl has several EINVAL return paths, so it is
not possible to fully disambiguate.

migration: add TLS support to the migration data channel
This is a big refactoring of the migration backend code - moving away from
QEMUFile to the new QIOChannel framework introduced here. This brings a
good level of abstraction and reduction of many lines of code.
This series also adds the ability for many backends (all except RDMA) to
use TLS for encrypting the migration data between the endpoints.

Callers of dma_blk_io have no way to pass extra data to the DMAIOFunc,
because the original callback and opaque are gone by the time DMAIOFunc
is called. On the other hand, the BlockBackend is usually derived
from those extra data that you could pass to the DMAIOFunc (in the
next patch, that would be the SCSIRequest).
So change DMAIOFunc's prototype, decoupling it from blk_aio_readv
and blk_aio_writev's. The new prototype loses the BlockBackend
and gains an extra opaque value which, in the case of dma_blk_readv
and dma_blk_writev, is of course used for the BlockBackend.

BlockBackend and considered it referenced by the monitor. This patch
removes the implicit monitor_add_blk() call from blk_new() (and
consequently the monitor_remove_blk() call from blk_delete(), too) and
thus blk_new() (and related functions) no longer take a BB name
argument.
In fact, there is only a single point where blk_new()/blk_new_open() is
called and the new BB is monitor-owned, and that is in blockdev_init().
Besides thus relieving us from having to invent names for all of the BBs
we use in qemu-img, this fixes a bug where qemu cannot create a new
image if there already is a monitor-owned BB named "image".
If a BB and its BDS tree are created in a single operation, as of this

qemu_clock_warp function is called to update virtual clock when CPU
is sleeping. This function includes replay checkpoint to make execution
deterministic in icount mode.
Record/replay module flushes async event queue at checkpoints.
Some of the events (e.g., block devices operations) include interaction
with hardware. E.g., APIC polled by block devices sets one of IRQ flags.
Flag to be set depends on currently executed thread (CPU or iothread).
Therefore in replay mode we have to process the checkpoints in the same thread
as they were recorded.
qemu_clock_warp function (and its checkpoint) may be called from different
thread. This patch decouples two different execution cases of this function:
call when CPU is sleeping from iothread and call from cpu thread to update
virtual clock.
First task is performed by qemu_start_warp_timer function. It sets warp
timer event to the moment of nearest pending virtual timer.
Second function (qemu_account_warp_timer) is called from cpu thread
before execution of the code. It advances virtual clock by adding the length
of period while CPU was sleeping.

Now that QEMU wraps the Win32 sockets methods to automatically
set errno upon failure, there is no reason for callers to use
the socket_error() method. They can rely on accessing errno
even on Win32. Remove all use of socket_error() from general
code, leaving it as a static method in oslib-win32.c only.
Signed-off-by: Daniel P. Berrange <berrange@redhat.com>
The windows socket functions look identical to the normal POSIX
sockets functions, but instead of setting errno, the caller needs
to call WSAGetLastError(). QEMU has tried to deal with this
incompatibility by defining a socket_error() method that callers
must use that abstracts the difference between WSAGetLastError()
and errno.
This approach is somewhat error prone though - many callers of
the sockets functions are just using errno directly because it
is easy to forget the need use a QEMU specific wrapper. It is
not always immediately obvious that a particular function will
in fact call into Windows sockets functions, so the dev may not
even realize they need to use socket_error().
This introduces an alternative approach to portability inspired
by the way GNULIB fixes portability problems. We use a macro to
redefine the original socket function names to refer to a QEMU
wrapper function. The wrapper function calls the original Win32
sockets method and then sets errno from the WSAGetLastError()
value.
Thus all code can simply call the normal POSIX sockets APIs are
have standard errno reporting on error, even on Windows. This
makes the socket_error() method obsolete.
We also bring closesocket & ioctlsocket into this approach. Even
though they are non-standard Win32 names, we can't wrap the normal
close/ioctl methods since there's no reliable way to distinguish
between a file descriptor and HANDLE in Win32.
Signed-off-by: Daniel P. Berrange <berrange@redhat.com>
Historically QEMU has had a socket_error() macro that was
defined to map to WSASocketError(). The os-win32.h header
file would define errno constants that mapped to the
WSA error constants. This worked fine with Mingw32 since
its header files never defined any errno values, nor did
it even provide an errno.h. So callers of socket_error()
could match on traditional Exxxx constants and it would
all "just work".
With Mingw64 though, things work rather differently. First
there is an errno.h file which defines all the traditional
errno constants you'd expect from a UNIX platform. There
is then a winerror.h which defined the WSA error constants.
Crucially the WSAExxxx errno values in winerror.h do not
match the Exxxx errno values in error.h.
If QEMU had only imported winerror.h it would still work,
but the qemu/osdep.h file unconditionally imports errno.h.
So callers of socket_error() will get now WSAExxxx values
back and compare them to the Exxx constants. This will
always fail silently at runtime.
To solve this QEMU needs to stop assuming the WSAExxxx
constant values match the Exxx constant values. Thus the
socket_error() macro is turned into a small function that
re-maps WSAExxxx values into Exxx.

This patch aligns the prototype with qemu_fdt_getprop. The caller
can choose whether the function self-asserts on error (passing
&error_fatal as Error ** argument, corresponding to the legacy behavior),
or behaves differently such as simply output a message.
In this later case the caller can use the new lenp parameter to interpret
the error if any.

Current qemu_fdt_getprop exits if the property is not found. It is
sometimes needed to read an optional property, in which case we do
not wish to exit but simply returns a null value.
This patch converts qemu_fdt_getprop to accept an Error **, and existing
users are converted to pass &error_fatal. This preserves the existing
behaviour. Then to use the API with your optional semantic a null
parameter can be conveyed.

Recent Fedora complains while compiling ui/sdl.c:
/usr/x86_64-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/include/winsock2.h:15:2: warning: #warning Please include winsock2.h before windows.h [-Wcpp]
And with this patch we dutifully obey.
Stefan Weil:
Without that patch, windows.h will include winsock.h
(which conflicts with winsock2.h) when compiling sdl.c.
Normally we define WIN32_LEAN_AND_MEAN, and
windows.h won't include winsock.h.
include/ui/sdl2.h and ui/sdl.c undefine that macro,
so the order of the include files is important.

When bdrv_close_all() is called, instead of force-closing all root
BlockDriverStates, it is better to just drop the reference from all
BlockBackends and let them be closed automatically. This prevents BDS
from getting closed that are still referenced by other BDS, which may
result in loss of cached data.
This patch adds a function for doing that, but does not yet incorporate
it in bdrv_close_all().

bdrv_close() no longer signifies ejection of a medium, this is now done
by removing the BDS from the BB. Therefore, we want to have a notifier
for that in the BB instead of a close notifier in the BDS. The former is
added now, the latter is removed later.
Symmetrically, another notifier list is added that is invoked whenever a
BDS is inserted. We will need that for virtio-blk and virtio-scsi, which
can then remove their op blockers on BDS ejection and set them up on
insertion.

Typically a UNIX guest OS will log boot messages to a serial
port in addition to any graphical console. An admin user
may also wish to use the serial port for an interactive
console. A virtualization management system may wish to
collect system boot messages by logging the serial port,
but also wish to allow admins interactive access.
Currently providing such a feature forces the mgmt app
to either provide 2 separate serial ports, one for
logging boot messages and one for interactive console
login, or to proxy all output via a separate service
that can multiplex the two needs onto one serial port.
While both are valid approaches, they each have their
own downsides. The former causes confusion and extra
setup work for VM admins creating disk images. The latter
places an extra burden to re-implement much of the QEMU
chardev backends logic in libvirt or even higher level
mgmt apps and adds extra hops in the data transfer path.
A simpler approach that is satisfactory for many use
cases is to allow the QEMU chardev backends to have a
"logfile" property associated with them.
$QEMU -chardev socket,host=localhost,port=9000,\
server=on,nowait,id-charserial0,\
logfile=/var/log/libvirt/qemu/test-serial0.log
-device isa-serial,chardev=charserial0,id=serial0
This patch introduces a 'ChardevCommon' struct which
is setup as a base for all the ChardevBackend types.
Ideally this would be registered directly as a base
against ChardevBackend, rather than each type, but
the QAPI generator doesn't allow that since the
ChardevBackend is a non-discriminated union. The
ChardevCommon struct provides the optional 'logfile'
parameter, as well as 'logappend' which controls
whether QEMU truncates or appends (default truncate).
