ab9470909c Preliminary support for both serial consoles and kbd/display wscons
consoles for TC alphas.  Based on code from Takuya Koumoto
<takuya-k@is.aist-nara.ac.jp> as well as some parts of Toru Nishimura's
and Matthias Drochner's work on pmax wscons.  This relies on the
NEW_SCC_DRIVER.

ce89209d42 when transmitting we cannot totally fill the circular buffer (i.e.
we can't use up all of the remaining sc->txslot[chan].bfree free
bytes) because that would cause the circular buffer read pointer
to become equal to the write pointer, thus signaling 'empty buffer'
to the hardware and stopping the transmitter.  spotted and fixed
by Kenjiro Cho <kjc@csl.sony.co.jp>

c90c4b829b Add support for the second flavour of the VIA IDE chip (which has UDMA).
Don't claim DMA support if we don't have explicit support for this chip.
They're to may way to loose when trying to use DMA without configuring the
controller and disks.

09285b1171 PR/6311: By me... There was a bug unloading the dmamap:
addr = map->dm_segs[0].ds_addr & ~PGOFSET;
	len = map->dm_segs[0].ds_len;
	len = ((addr & PGOFSET) + len + PGOFSET) & ~PGOFSET;
	addr &= ~PGOFSET;

Notice that the & ~PGOFSET in the first line should be gone. This fixes
the newfs large disk panic.

74f36b2497 Try the ustarfs open first...it's the only one that can't necessarily

10788ef1be Add a CPURESET_DELAY options which specifies the delay (in milliseconds)
between the "rebooting" message and the hardware reset. If set to 0, the call
to delay() is disabled. Default is 2s.

ff0134b99f Properly separate DEBUF_XFERS and DEBUG_FUNCS: DEBUF_XFERS is for data
transfers (may be called often), where DEBUG_FUNCS is for setup functions
(not used for normal contitions).

da5d0a6f17 pciide.c: don't define WDCDEBUG, so it compiles on alpha. Correct a bogon
in the printing of DMA mode (piix3/4 only)
others: set the debug_mask to 0, so that debug messages are turned off by
default but can be easily turned on.
Reset drive_flags to 0 for unconfigured devices, so that they are ignored
later. For configured devices, reset state to 0 after probe/attach.

e34aa44c14 Put back ETHERTALK_AT (but I did convert *all* code to ETHERTYPE_ATALK),
so if vendors (or something) used it, it is still found.  Also added short
comments for each alias to explain why they are there.

cd7e3136ad Use ETHERTYPE_ATALK instead of ETHERTYPE_AT. The former seems more common.
Our other constants also use "ATALK".

Added many new ETHERTYPE constants to sys/net/ethertypes.h, including the
ones from libpcap and tcpdump "ethertype.h" files.

37cb095897 1) Change "dectohexdec" and "hexdectodec" to "bintobcd" and
"bcdtobin". The old names were bogus.
2) Make the code grok the NVRAM's century field. This code is, to say
the least, poorly tested. It should make NetBSD play nicer with other
OSes that care about the century field, however.

This cpuinfo field is initialized here in locore before calling bootstrap(),
since it must be valid before entering the window overflow/underflow handlers.

1b59a238c4 remove unused share map code from UVM:
- simplify uvm_faultinfo in uvm_fault.h (parent map tracking no longer needed)
 - adjust locking and lookup functions in uvm_fault_i.h to reflect the above
 - replace ufi.rvaddr with ufi.orig_rvaddr in uvm_fault.c since rvaddr is
	no longer needed.
 - no need to worry about share map translations in uvm_fault().  simplify.

1449d78fd3 remove the following if UVM is defined:
- share_map in vm_map_object.   UVM doesn't use share maps, so drop unused
	partial support for them to simplify the code.
 - is_main_map in vm_map.   no longer needed once share maps are gone.
 - vm_map_version_t.   map versions are handled elsewhere in UVM.

b9d844a520 Allocate a private PCB, kernel stack and interrupt stack for each processor.
As a result, the stack setup code in locore.s changes slightly in
the MULTIPROCESSOR case. Also, make the stack redzone barrier (for
debugging only) a per-CPU entity.

16cf223098 Enforce open-for-writing on ioctls that change the bus's state.
Implement ioctl pass-through to the host bus adapter, allowing both
SCBUS* ioctls handled at that level and host adapter-specific ioctls
to be implemented.  Implement SCBUSIORESET as a pass-through.

9eb1a83c84 Define the SCBUSIOSCAN ioctl (and its argument structure). This
SCSI bus ioctl rescans the SCSI bus for new devices.

Garbage-collect the SCIOCREPROBE and OSCIOCREPROBE.  They are obsolete.

29d472f53d Garbage-collect the open_target_lu and close_target_lu entry points from
struct scsipi_adapter; they were not used.

Add a scsipi_ioctl entry point to struct scsipi_adapter.  This will be
used to issue ioctl commands to the host adapters.
