mjl a7fcd8b686 Fix hanging token ring when data size is multiple of 514, using 
patch in PR/11316 by YAMAMOTO Takashi.
This fixes random hangs I experienced, and probably also
remedies PR/11300 and PR/9321.

thorpej a84221b9db Just nuke the "build aliases.db" stuff from here. It's not 
necessary, as /etc/rc.d/sendmail will already rebuild DB files
automatically if necessary, and doing aliases.db here just
totally breaks cross-compiling.

jdolecek 366b58f084 mount(8) now includes code for all mount_*(8) but mount_portal(8) and 
mount_mfs(8); the mount_*(8) are hardlinked to mount (appropriate mount routine
is called depending on program name) - this saves approx. 1.7MB of /sbin
space

jdolecek debb6d80a3 make the code includable into other programs: 
* make static all symbols which do not need to be exported
* rename main() to mount_FOO()
* new main() now just calls mount_FOO(), main() is only compiled in if
  MOUNT_NOMAIN is not defined
* a_gid(), a_uid() and a_mask() were put into ../mount/fattr.[ch], local
  versions removed

mason 43bcdca61e Apply the following: 
-       static u_int16_t n = HASH_MINSIZE / HASH_ENTRYSIZE;
+       static u_int32_t n = HASH_MINSIZE / HASH_ENTRYSIZE;

...so that large packets do not wrap "n".

jdolecek 5888f4d21c add a hack to properly handle '--' as first argument - 
it's ignored if it would cause syntax error, otherwise treated as common
string; this is so that both 'expr -- : .' and 'expr -- foo : .' works
This addresses standards/11230 by Ben Harris.

garbled 331c044669 Modify this to obey $MAKE in the environment, instead of allways calling 
"make" hardcoded.  This should cause my cross-ramdisk-builds to stop
blowing a gasket.

lukem b14a596beb Add support for booting off RAIDframe RAID1 mirrors. Check the first partition 
type in biosdiskopen(), and if it is of type FS_RAID, add 64 to d->b_off.

NOTE: installboot(8) still needs some hacking to DTRT, but at least this way
if you can load "/boot" off another partition (e.g, wd0h), then wd0a can be
of type `RAID' with a raidframe mirror at the start and the kernel
will load OK of wd0a, and with raidctl -A root partitions, it will change
root as well.

  doesn't cope too well when font change macros are used)

- consistently use `file system' instead of `filesystem'
- migrate macppc to common/xfer

mrg 77b1d2266f #include <elfos.h> only for i386 compiler for now -- it causes lossage 
in other ports and is required only there (for now).
