0dfdd76021 Makefile.mdset: 
replace
		TARGETS = KERNEL IMAGE [...]
	with
		MDTARGETS = KERNEL IMAGE FILENAME [...]
	If FILENAME is "-", use "netbsd.${KERNEL}" as the target filename

The rest:
	Update for new MDTARGETS syntax.  In some cases, the kernel
	name from the "old" method will be used to override the default.

ac60400580 The results of my cats NWDO hacking. 
This was tested using a custom INSTALL kernel. The current one is >4Mb
which the cats firmware can't currently boot. We need to decide what
needs to be removed from INSTALL.

a8938c1764 Replace "obs" with "bs" and "conv=osync" with "conv=sync" in the dd command. 
This is necessary because POSIX doesn't specify "conv=osync" and GNU dd
doesn't implement it.  I believe that in this case, where only one output
block should ever be generated and the input is a regular file, bs/sync is
equivalent to obs/osync.

41b068f7f4 Revert previous, and add back "utils" to SUBDIRS. 
I accidentally committed the previous rev with the wrong commit message
(thanks go to Nick Hudson <skrll@netbsd.org> for picking this up).
Eventually we will probably want to stop descending into utils, but
now is not that time.

fe26e66da4 Instead of using mktemp -d (which isn't available on many systems), use mkdir 
in a loop to create a temporary directory.  Add a few chacks for the sanity
of /tmp first, so as to avoid making the loop infinite.

df35897577 When matching "?" and "*" in a regexp, put backslashes before them 
even at the start of the regexp.  This seems to be necessary to

4108470a24 Expand tabulators in .Bd -literal section, containing required irq/drq/io 
settings for devices.  This is so that the resulting .html file renders
as expected, instead of having the tabulated text coloumns flush against
the right margin, at least when viewed with Netscape 4.77.

now, this includes building flash'able gzip'd kernel images (and
the uncompressing loader) for the IQ80310 and IQ80321 eval boards.

cbc8e60f5f Added support for stl.mi and a stl.${objfmt} files for each set, 
which respectively contain MI and objfmt-specific things associated
with static libraries.  Useful for systems that don't have shared
libraries.  Currently only used by lists/comp/stl.elf.

25c4cc30b2 Disable libhack's gethost.o (replacement gethostby{name,addr}()) by default, 
as they only support reading /etc/hosts, and its the "least useful" of
the libhack routines.  Add gethost.o back to Really Small media which
appears to need the space savings.
