e5b5728cd3 scsi: move non-emulation specific code to scsi/
util/scsi.c includes some SCSI code that is shared by block/iscsi.c and
hw/scsi, but the introduction of the persistent reservation helper
will add many more instances of this. There is also include/block/scsi.h,
which actually is not part of the core block layer.

The persistent reservation manager will also need a home. A scsi/
directory provides one for both the aforementioned shared code and
the PR manager code.

a46c1244a0 tcg: Remove support for ia64 as host
We threatened to remove ia64 as host in v2.9.0. Its time has now come.

There are still some usages of defined(__ia64__) throughout the source

Leave those alone for now.

1b61270be1 MAINTAINERS: Improve the NetBSD regex pattern
Currently get_maintainers.pl claims that the configure script is
maintained by Kamil:

 $ scripts/get_maintainer.pl -f configure
 Kamil Rytarowski <kamil@netbsd.org> (maintainer:NETBSD)
 qemu-devel@nongnu.org (open list:All patches CC here)

This happens because the regex pattern for the NETBSD entry triggers
on everything that contains the keyword "NetBSD". Ease the situation
a little bit by restricting this to "Subject:" lines only, like
we do it in the "trivial patches" section already.

469819a3e8 This is mostly Philippe's updates
We add the following cross-compile targets:
   - mipsel-softmmu,mipsel-linux-user,mips64el-linux-user
   - armeb-linux-user

 While I was rolling I discovered we could also back out a bunch of the
 emdebian hacks as the newly released stretch handles cross compilers
 as first class citizens. Unfortunately this also meant I had to drop
 the powerpc support as that is no longer in Debian stable.

899833cd65 List SASL config file under the cryptography maintainer's realm
No one is listed as maintainer for qemu.sasl. It is used by the
VNC server for SASL auth, but since it is cryptography related,
list it under the crytography maintainer's realm, rather than
under the UI maintainer.

a2f3453ebc coccinelle: Add script to remove useless QObject casts
We have macros in place to make it less verbose to add a subtype
of QObject to both QDict and QList. While we have made cleanups
like this in the past (see commit fcfcd8ffc, for example), having
it be automated by Coccinelle makes it easier to maintain.

The script is separate from the cleanups, for ease of review and
backporting. A later patch will then add further possible cleanups.

fdf6fab4df MAINTAINERS: Add "R:" tag for self-appointed reviewers
Some people are not content with the amount of mail they get, and would
like to be CCed on patches for areas they do not maintain. Let them
satisfy their own appetite for qemu-devel messages.

Seriously: the purpose here is a bit different from the Linux kernel.
While Linux uses "R" to designate non-maintainers for reviewing patches
in a given area, in QEMU I would also like to use "R" so that people can
delegate sending pull requests while keeping some degree of oversight.

Based on Linux commit eafbaac3093760d1fd3b2a5b9f016362dd68af36.

dcaed66cbe ppc patch queue 2017-04-26
Here's a respind of my first pull request for qemu-2.10, consisting of
 assorted patches which have accumulated while qemu-2.9 stabilized.
 Highlights are:
     * Rework / cleanup of the XICS interrupt controller
     * Substantial improvement to the 'powernv' machine type
         - Includes an MMIO XICS version
     * POWER9 support improvements
         - POWER9 guests with KVM
         - Partial support for POWER9 guests with TCG
     * IOMMU and VFIO improvements
     * Assorted minor changes

 There are several IPMI patches here that aren't usually in my area of
 maintenance, but there isn't a regular maintainer and these patches
 are for the benefit of the powernv machine type.

 This pull request supersedes my 2017-04-26 pull request. This new set
 fixes a bug in one of the aforementioned IPMI patches which caused
 clang sanitizer failures (and may have crashed on some libc / host
 versions).

d92d886a3b .shippable.yml: new CI provider
Ostensibly Shippable offers a similar set of services as Travis.
However they are focused on Docker container based work-flows so we
can use our existing containers to run a few extra builds - in this
case a bunch of cross-compiled targets on a Debian multiarch system.

5459ef3bff ppc patch queue 2017-02-02
This obsoletes ppc-for-2.9-20170112, which had a MacOS build bug.

 This is a long overdue ppc pull request for qemu-2.9. It's been a
 long time coming due to some holidays and inconveniently timed
 problems with testing. So, there's a lot in here:

     * More POWER9 instruction implementations for TCG
     * The simpler parts of my CPU compatibility mode cleanup
         * This changes behaviour to prefer compatibility modes over
           "raW" mode for new machine type versions
     * New "40p" machine type which is essentially a modernized and
       cleaned up "prep". The intention is that it will replace "prep"
       once it has some more testing and polish.
     * Add pseries-2.9 machine type
     * Implement H_SIGNAL_SYS_RESET hypercall
     * Consolidate the two alternate CPU init paths in pseries by
       making it always go through CPU core objects to initialize CPU
     * A number of bugfixes and cleanups
     * Stop the guest timebase when the guest is stopped under KVM.
       This makes the guest system clock also stop when paused, which
       matches the x86 behaviour.
     * Some preliminary cleanups leading towards implementation of the
       POWER9 MMU.

 There are also some changes not strictly related to ppc code, but for
 its benefit:

     * Limit the pxi-expander-bridge (PXB) device to x86 guests only
       (it's essentially a hack to work around historical x86
       limitations)
     * Some additions to the 128-bit math in host_utils, necessary for
       some of the new instructions.
     * Revise a number of qtests and enable them for ppc

61766fe9e2 target-hppa: Add framework and enable compilation
This is just about the minimum required to enable compilation
without actually executing any instructions. This contains the
HPPACPU structure and the required callbacks, the gdbstub, the
basic translation loop, and a translate_one function that always
results in an illegal instruction.

target-sparc: fix up niagara machine
Remove the Niagara stub implementation from sun4u.c and add a machine,
compatible with Legion simulator from the OpenSPARC T1 project.

The machine uses the firmware supplied with the OpenSPARC T1 project,
http://download.oracle.com/technetwork/systems/opensparc/OpenSPARCT1_Arch.1.5.tar.bz2
in the directory S10image/, and is able to boot the supplied Solaris 10 image.

Note that for compatibility with the naming conventions for SPARC machines
the new machine name is lowercase niagara.
