28fbf33b3f fifo8: add fifo8_peek_buf() function
This is a wrapper function around fifo8_peekpop_buf() that allows the
caller to peek into the FIFO, including handling the case where there
is a wraparound of the internal FIFO buffer.

ef834aa2b2 qapi/crypto: Rename QCryptoHashAlgorithm to *Algo, and drop prefix
QAPI's 'prefix' feature can make the connection between enumeration
type and its constants less than obvious. It's best used with
restraint.

QCryptoHashAlgorithm has a 'prefix' that overrides the generated
enumeration constants' prefix to QCRYPTO_HASH_ALG.

We could simply drop 'prefix', but then the prefix becomes
QCRYPTO_HASH_ALGORITHM, which is rather long.

We could additionally rename the type to QCryptoHashAlg, but I think
the abbreviation "alg" is less than clear.

Rename the type to QCryptoHashAlgo instead. The prefix becomes to
QCRYPTO_HASH_ALGO.

851495571d util/async.c: Forbid negative min/max in aio_context_set_thread_pool_params()
aio_context_set_thread_pool_params() takes two int64_t arguments to
set the minimum and maximum number of threads in the pool. We do
some bounds checking on these, but we don't catch the case where the
inputs are negative. This means that later in the function when we
assign these inputs to the AioContext::thread_pool_min and
::thread_pool_max fields, which are of type int, the values might
overflow the smaller type.

A negative number of threads is meaningless, so make
aio_context_set_thread_pool_params() return an error if either min or
max are negative.

4c58843e5d vhost-user-server: do not set memory fd non-blocking
In vhost-user-server we set all fd received from the other peer
in non-blocking mode. For some of them (e.g. memfd, shm_open, etc.)
it's not really needed, because we don't use these fd with blocking
operations, but only to map memory.

In addition, in some systems this operation can fail (e.g. in macOS
setting an fd returned by shm_open() non-blocking fails with errno
= ENOTTY).

So, let's avoid setting fd non-blocking for those messages that we
know carry memory fd (e.g. VHOST_USER_ADD_MEM_REG,
VHOST_USER_SET_MEM_TABLE).

Those functions are not needed, one remove function should already
work. Clean it up.

Here the code doesn't really care about whether we need to keep that dupfd

keeping the dup_fd around the fdsets may not help that situation so far.
