08507399ab hw/sparc/leon3: Pass DeviceState opaque argument to leon3_start_cpu()
By passing a DeviceState context to a QDev IRQ handler,
we can simplify and use qdev_init_gpio_in_named() instead

f9bcb2d684 Warn user if the vga flag is passed but no vga device is created
A global boolean variable "vga_interface_created"(declared in softmmu/globals.c)
has been used to track the creation of vga interface. If the vga flag is passed
in the command line "default_vga"(declared in softmmu/vl.c) variable is set to 0.
To warn user, the condition checks if vga_interface_created is false
and default_vga is equal to 0. If "-vga none" is passed, this patch will not warn the
user regarding the creation of VGA device.

The warning "A -vga option was passed but this
machine type does not use that option; no VGA device has been created"
is logged if vga flag is passed but no vga device is created.

This patch has been tested for x86_64, i386, sparc, sparc64 and arm boards.

b21e238037 Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious sense
g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n).  It's also safer,
for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t.
Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch
more type errors.

This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form
sizeof(T).

Patch created mechanically with:

    $ spatch --in-place --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/use-g_new-etc.cocci \

e97a8a5926 sun4m: fix setting CPU id when more than one CPU is present
Commit 24f675cd3b ("sparc/sun4m: Use start-powered-off CPUState property") changed
the sun4m CPU reset code to use the start-powered-off property and so split the
creation of the CPU into separate instantiation and realization phases to enable
the new start-powered-off property to be set.

This accidentally broke sun4m machines with more than one CPU present since
sparc_cpu_realizefn() sets a default CPU id, and now that realization occurs after
calling cpu_sparc_set_id() in cpu_devinit() the CPU id gets reset back to the
default instead of being uniquely encoded based upon the CPU number. As soon as
another CPU is brought online, the OS gets confused between them and promptly
panics.

Resolve the issue by moving the cpu_sparc_set_id() call in cpu_devinit() to after
the point where the CPU device has been realized as before.

10fb1340b1 hw/sparc*: Move cpu_check_irqs() to target/sparc/
Since cpu_check_irqs() doesn't reference to anything outside
of CPUSPARCState, it better belongs to the architectural code
in target/, rather than the hardware specific code in hw/.

Note: while we moved the trace events, we don't rename them.

Remark: this allows us to build the leon3 machine stand alone,
fixing this link failure (because cpu_check_irqs is defined in
hw/sparc/sun4m.c which is only built when CONFIG_SUN4M is selected):

  /usr/bin/ld: target_sparc_win_helper.c.o: in function `cpu_put_psr':

1284119991 hw/sparc: Allow building without the leon3 machine
When building without the leon3 machine, we get this link failure:

  target/sparc/int32_helper.c:172: undefined reference to `leon3_irq_ack'

This is because the leon3_irq_ack() is declared in hw/sparc/leon3.c,
which is only build when CONFIG_LEON3 is selected.

Fix by moving the leon3_cache_control_int() / leon3_irq_manager()
(which are specific to the leon3 machine) to hw/sparc/leon3.c.
Move the trace events along (but don't rename them).

leon3_irq_ack() is now locally used, declare it static to reduce
its scope.

    xlnx,zynq-xadc

These are all device types. They can't be plugged with -device /
device_add, except for xlnx,zynqmp-pmu-soc, and I doubt that one
actually works.

They *can* be used with -device / device_add to request help.
Usability is poor, though: you have to double the comma, like this:

    $ qemu-system-x86_64 -device SUNW,,fdtwo,help

Trap for the unwary. The fact that this was broken in
device-introspect-test for more than six years until commit e27bd49876
fixed it demonstrates that "the unwary" includes seasoned developers.

One QOM type name contains ' ': "ICH9 SMB". Because having to
remember just one way to quote would be too easy.

Rename the "SUNW,FOO types to "sun-FOO". Summarily replace ',' and '
' by '-' in the other type names.

a879306ca1 sun4m: don't connect two qemu_irqs directly to the same input
The sun4m board code connects both of the IRQ outputs of each ESCC to the
same slavio input qemu_irq. Connecting two qemu_irqs outputs directly to the
same input is not valid as it produces subtly wrong behaviour (for instance
if both the IRQ lines are high, and then one goes low, the PIC input will see
this as a high-to-low transition even though the second IRQ line should still
be holding it high).

This kind of wiring needs an explicitly created OR gate; add one.

3391953660 hw/sparc: Make grlib-irqmp device handle its own inbound IRQ lines
Currently the GRLIB_IRQMP device is used in one place (the leon3 board),
but instead of the device providing inbound gpio lines for the board
to wire up, the board code itself calls qemu_allocate_irqs() with
the handler function being a set_irq function defined in the code
for the device.

Refactor this into the standard setup of a device having input
gpio lines.

This fixes a trivial Coverity memory leak report (the leon3
board code leaks the IRQ array returned from qemu_allocate_irqs()).

db1015e92e Move QOM typedefs and add missing includes
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros.
This makes it difficult to automatically replace their
definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE.

Patch generated using:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \
   --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName"
declarations.

Followed by:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \
    $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will:
- move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros
- add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary

24f675cd3b sparc/sun4m: Use start-powered-off CPUState property
Instead of setting CPUState::halted to 1 in secondary_cpu_reset(), use the
start-powered-off property which makes cpu_common_reset() initialize it
to 1 in common code.

Now secondary_cpu_reset() becomes equivalent to main_cpu_reset() so rename
the function to sun4m_cpu_reset().

Also remove setting of cs->halted from cpu_devinit(), which seems out of
place when compared to similar code in other architectures (e.g.,
ppce500_init() in hw/ppc/e500.c).

Finally, change creation of CPU object from cpu_create() to object_new()
and qdev_realize_and_unref() because cpu_create() realizes the CPU and it's
not possible to set a property after the object is realized.
