mbw ca9abebadb Update macppc filenames based on files in latest snapshot (20020407).
That is, netbsd.ram.gz becomes either netbsd.INSTALL.gz or
netbsd.GENERIC_MD.gz depending on what media (and Open Firmware version).

Also, a few minor rewordings to clarify a little better.

lukem 81f6719d57 only provide targets for ${WORKSPEC} and ${WORKBUILT} if non are provided.
this allows custom specfiles to be generated or custom WORKDIRS to be used,
whilst still allowing use of IMAGE or IMAGETAR rules.

enami fabaf9a730 - In genfs_putpages(), no need to restrict the cluster within the given
region.
- In uvm_aio_aiodone(), remove assertions no longer true.

enami 6ceef3fc14 In uao_put(), if we wait for the busy page owned by someone else,
we can't simply reuse the pointor to the page. Instead, we need to
acquire it again. So, rearrange the loop like genfs_putpages() does.

itojun 31a6ad2757 backout 1.72. it is not correct for the kernel to remove routes by itself,
and the code was buggy (dereferenced null pointer when IFAFREE removes the
route).

simonb 1706b9a6ec There's no use assigning the output of strtoul() to a 32-bit variable
then checking that against ULONG_MAX. Instead use a "unsigned long"
as the temporary variable. Then check against UINT32_MAX before
assigning back to the original variable.

simonb f1a6122c11 Simplify previous - sbuf.st_blksize is a uint32_t, so just use
bsize = MAX(sbuf.st_blksize, BUFSIZ);
and skip playing with SSIZE_MAX altogether.

simonb 0330994f83 Fix warnings found by gcc-current with alpha target:
There's no use assigning the output of strtoul() to a 32-bit variable
then checking that against ULONG_MAX. Instead use a "unsigned long"
as the temporary variable.  Also, only check against UID_MAX/GID_MAX;
these are both going to be smaller than ULONG_MAX on both 32- and 64-bit
platforms.

thorpej 3e669d3bca * Increase the number of Tx job queue entries from 32 to 64.
* Garbage-collect some unused stuff.
* Make the Tx window slide along the Tx job queue space, not the
  Tx descriptor space. We are more likely to run low on DMA maps
  than we are hardware descriptors.

thorpej 3ce23a4ac6 * Instrument the number of times we force a Tx interrupt.
* When forcing an interrupt, make sure that interrupt-delay-enable is
  cleared (necessary with last change to make sure it's set for all
  descriptors).
* Crank up the Transmit Interrupt Delay Value to 1024 * 1.024 msec. We
  really want these to be deferred.

lukem 04e61f8526 - whitespace consistency cleanup
- build (mdset/nm/strip) into ${filename} as one rule, and move ${filename}.gz
  into separate rule
- rename MDSET.${filename}.nosymbols -> MDSET_NOSYMBOLS.${filename}
- rename MDSET.${filename}.post -> MDSET_POST.${filename}, and don't do
  suffix handling here
- rework suffix handling:
	- rename MDSET.${filename}.suffixes -> MDSET_SUFFIXES.${filename},
	  and change from list of suffixes to list of "suffix cmdtobuildsuffix",
  	  where cmdtobuildsuffix is the name of the variable containing the
	  command to build ${filename}.${suffix} (available as "${.TARGET}").
	- for each ${filename}.${suffix}, depend upon ${filename} and use
	  ${cmdtobuildsuffix} to create the former.
	- add separate ${filename}.${suffix}.gz rule
- mipsco & pmax: rename "install.gz" to "netbsd-INSTALL.gz", for
  consistency and so the target to build the mdset kernel doesn't get
  confused with general "install" target
