atatat bbd661c23d The four tools mkdep, strip, objcopy, and objdump are not part of the 
defined toolchain if we're not using the new toolchain.  We need them,
so we add our own definitions here.

lukem 2ee0a3f232 move code to calculate size of direct for a given namlen to separate 
DIRECTSIZ() macro, and use this to implement a (now shorter) DIRSIZ().
