7af6378fca two changes to arm32 fault handling:
- when pcb_onfault is set, allow UVM to attempt to resolve permission faults
   as well as translation faults (rather than immediately invoking the
   onfault handler for permission faults). this is needed for UBC since
   it will be normal for uiomove() to fault on read-only mappings which
   will be made writable by the pager.
 - clear pcb_onfault before calling uvm_fault() and restore it afterward.
   if the fault handler generates a pagefault, we'd like to panic rather
   than invoking the onfault handler.

197f7aae9c two changes to pmap_enter():
- allow entry of the same mapping that's already there.
   this can happen with UBC.
 - if PMAP_CANFAIL, return failure rather than sleeping
   when we fail to allocate a ptp.

baae0324b9 restructure struct emul and execsw, in preparation to make emulations LKMable:
* move all exec-type specific information from struct emul to execsw[] and
  provide single struct emul per emulation
* elf:
  - kern/exec_elf32.c:probe_funcs[] is gone, execsw[] how has one entry
    per emulation and contains pointer to respective probe function
  - interp is allocated via MALLOC() rather than on stack
  - elf_args structure is allocated via MALLOC() rather than malloc()
* ecoff: the per-emulation hooks moved from alpha and mips specific code
  to OSF1 and Ultrix compat code as appropriate, execsw[] has one entry per
  emulation supporting ecoff with appropriate probe function
* the makecmds/probe functions don't set emulation, pointer to emulation is
  part of appropriate execsw[] entry
* constify couple of structures

e12f731db5 On the Alpha, interprocessor interrupts come in at the same priority
as normal device interrupts. Because of this, we won't get IPIs while
servicing such interrupts. This can lead to the following deadlock
scenario as reported by Bill Sommerfeld:
- Process runs on cpu1, but has FP state on cpu0.
- Process executes FP-using insn, causing an FP trap, which causes
  the kernel lock to be acquired.
- At roughly the same time, cpu0 receives a device interrupt, and attempts
  to acquire the kernel lock, which blocks since cpu1 already has it.
- cpu1 sends cpu0 a SYNCH FPU IPI, and waits for cpu0 to release its
  FP state.
- Since cpu0 cannot notice the IPI until it has processed the device
  interrupt, which it cannot do because it cannot acquire the kernel
  lock, we have deadlock.

Solve the problem by adding a spinlock interlock release hook which
checks for pending IPIs and processes them.

Idea from Bill Sommerfeld.

b6f0a678dd Add support for the m68060-based machines: MVME-172 and MVME-177.
CPU support taken from a combination of NetBSD/amiga and NetBSD/x68k.

At this time, MVME-172 works but MVME-177 is untested. Since the '177
is otherwise identical to the MVME-167, this should *just work*.

2819c7b688 Use DMA from mbuf instead of copy in transmit.
Still use memcpy in receiving because we must use buffer fill mode
	and many packets may share single receive buffer.

XXX: Workaround(?) for CXD3222: it fails to DMA for selfid packet according
to code placement. I'm not sure about the reason (cache? timing? bug?).

Fixed the bug: transmitter sometimes stop and OACTIVE bit of if_fw
never be cleared.
Fixed the bug: freeing free buffer.

c62d17a551 rationalize the use of b_flags for geteblk() buffers.
rather than assigning to the whole field, set or clear individual flags,
which implies that the B_BUSY and B_INVAL flags will remain set.
this allows us to make the assertion in brelse() that B_BUSY is set,
which is the purpose of all this.

31fc62d4e9 Correct accounting of lfs_avail, locked_queue_count, and locked_queue_bytes.
(PR #11468). In the case of fragment allocation, check to see if enough
space is available before extending a fragment already scheduled for writing.

The locked_queue_* variables indicate the number of buffer headers and bytes,
respectively, that are unavailable to getnewbuf() because they are locked up
waiting for LFS to flush them; make sure that that is actually what we're
counting, i.e., never count malloced buffers, and always use b_bufsize instead
of b_bcount.

If DEBUG is defined, the periodic calls to lfs_countlocked will now complain
if either counter is incorrect. (In the future lfs_countlocked will not need
to be called at all if DEBUG is not defined.)

f96aee80d6 Make the linux compatibilty code work on the alpha. (horay!) (at last!)
Two main changes:
	Create a linux_elf64_copyargs that uses the linux specific LinuxAuxInfo
	structure. This is only used on the alpha. i386 and m68k use the
	standard elf copyargs function.

	Since linux's approach to binary compatibilty is to look as much
	like osf1 as possible, add all the osf1 syscalls that we have
	implemented to the linux syscall table. This includes get/setsysinfo,
	ported from FreeBSD.

In order for linux compat to work you must have COMPAT_OSF1, COMPAT_43,
COMPAT_09, COMPAT_12 and COMPAT_13 on also.

447472c902 Port FreeBSD's osf1_sys_getsysinfo() and fill in setsysinfo. These are
incomplete at the moment (notable the fp_control stuff) but they need to
exist for the linux compatibilty code. All other osf1 syscalls needed for
linux compat are already here.

65fd25ea82 Restructure the PFIL_HOOKS mechanism a bit:
- All packets are passed to PFIL_HOOKS as they come off the wire, i.e.
  fields in protocol headers in network order, etc.
- Allow for multiple hooks to be registered, using a "key" and a "dlt".
  The "dlt" is a BPF data link type, indicating what type of header is
  present.
- INET and INET6 register with key == AF_INET or AF_INET6, and
  dlt == DLT_RAW.
- PFIL_HOOKS now take an argument for the filter hook, and mbuf **,
  an ifnet *, and a direction (PFIL_IN or PFIL_OUT), thus making them
  less IP (really, IP Filter) centric.

Maintain compatibility with IP Filter by adding wrapper functions for
IP Filter.

dd7146d50b On sun3x, cpu_reboot() calls sunmon_abort() for PROM bug work-around,
but sunmon_abort() does not restore mon_crp so it causes problems.
Instead, call romVectorPtr->abortEntry (via trap14) from sunmon_halt()
and call it from cpu_reboot().

Now PROM boot command works properly even after halt on my 3/80.
