769c59467e The I/O path is assymetric -- we can't deal with IPsec packets coming in, so
don't send them out. For now.

8fcc4625a4 Use bounded string op (snprintf instead of sprintf) for an automatic
array which is used to calculate the maximum width of a scroll entry
item. Previous use of sprintf would blindly overwrite the stack if
there were more than 100 characters in an entry item.

57da74fd34 Its not possible to have a key such as ".access" in a hesiod map as that would
imply a null node in the DNS tree so a lookup for such a key must clearly fail
and with the current info_hesiod.c it does (after calling hes{,iod}_resolve)
but returns an error that confuses some programs - eg. apache - so shortcut
the process and just return ENOENT for any key starting with "."

Patch will be in am-utils 6.1.

aab62ed1ca Don't attempt to unput(EOF).
According to lex(1) (the manual page for flex, which is what we use for lex):
Finally, note that you cannot put back EOF to attempt to mark the
	input stream with an end-of-file.

Fixes PR bin/8707, which had been reclassified as a toolchain bug.

210e3d8b14 if the share name contains a dot, assume it's actually a server name
or server IP address - this allows 'mount_smbfs //192.168.0.1/foo /mnt'

specified too
perhaps we should resolve the IP to real NetBIOS name, but
apparently both Samba 2.2.8 and Windows XP accept the logon request
even when the NetBIOS name isn't correct

faf7f09d5f Do the address calculations inside the data delivered by SIOCGIFCONF
correctly (this isn't a plain array!), and sort the checks a bit
to avoid duplicates in the interface list.
Now broadcast capable interfaces are identified and "mount_smbfs"
can be used without the "-I <addr>" argument.

cd7975662e memsetw(): fix mistake where the 'word' value would get written byteswapped
on i386, resulting in ' ' being encoded incorrectly in session
setup query - just use memcpy() as rest of code, it DTRT for both LE and
BE machines in this case, since the function is called with 'word'
in little-endian format

Many thanks to Martin Husemann for testing on i386 and sparc64 against
both w2k and Samba.

932f26073f Add AM_MAINTAINER_MODE to configure.in
Run "autoreconf" (from autoconf-2.57) to rebuild:
	aclocal.m4 config.h.in configure

This appears to be a cleaner solution than hand-hacking/merging
changes to **/Makefile.in after each import.

Recently suggested by a couple of people, and confirmed with Ben Elliston.

507ffb08d9 Remove any rules which ``helpfully'' rerun automake, autoheader, or
autoconf if make determines that any of the files are out of date.
Unfortunately, this can occur quite easily after a cvs update, and
will then fail on systems without any of those tools or with read-only
source, and thus generate lots of "it doesn't build" email and bug
reports. If/when we have a better solution in tree, this is how we fix it.
