thorpej 540dfebf15 Rather than using individual HP300 model names, map those model names to
properties such as "M68040" and "M68K_MMU_MOTOROLA", used to conditionally
compile code. This is more in-line with now the other m68k ports do it,
and makes it much easier to find "common ground" among them.

In locore.s, use the MMU-type constants defined my <machine/cpu.h> rather
than "expanded" values.

Because HP300-model names are mapped to CPU/MMU combinations in
<machine/cpu.h>, no change to kernel configuration will be necessary.

thorpej b6c6d46a82 In sdminphys(), add a comment about the semantics of the "length" field

that we handle this conservatively by limiting the transfer to 255 blocks.

thorpej c9895db015 In both cd.c and sd.c:
If the read or write request can fit into a 6-byte cdb, then
use a 6-byte cdb, otherwise use the 10-byte as before.

In sd.c:
In sdattach(), make a note if the device is "ancient" (i.e.
	inqbuf.version & SID_ANSII == 0).

Implement sdminphys(): if the device is "ancient", shorten the
transfer so it will fit into a 6-byte cdb.

These changes have eliminated the rejected read/write requests on my

allocated, as noticed by Chuck Cranor. In addition to re-arranging
the assignment as suggested by Niklas Hallqvist, check to see if maxproc
is higher than the number of available user PTs. If it is, lower maxproc
to that value, the rationale being that it's much more desirable to have
fork() return EAGAIN than to have your system wedge.

XXX note that root can still raise maxproc with sysctl(2) later. It's
probably worth having further discussion about this issue, but until
everyone has time to think about it, this seems like an acceptable solution
for the time being.

pk ee08e9085b Extend the size of the "soft" FIFOs which reportedly reduces the number
of FIFO overflows on high baud rates.
However, doing so on all 4 ports would cost a whopping 64KB (at 4096 entries
per FIFO) of kernel memory. So, the FIFOs are now allocated at attach time
allowing the size for the keyboard and mouse ports to be reduced (to 128)
which should be adequate for the 1200 baud they use.

pk 9bf3251e46 Lots of major and minor bug fixes and changes.
- properly do MSG_IN handshaking, so we can actually receive multi-byte msgs.
- do synch negotiation (now that the above works).
- handle disconnects.
There are a few trial-and-error bits at points where the docs I have are
particularly ambiguous about the state of chip and/or SCSI bus.

Things to do:
- more cleanup
- deal with MSG_OUT phase better
- keep some "config reg 3" bits per target (ie. FASTCLK and FASTSCSI).
