fcf5787c02 hw/block/onenand: Fix off-by-one error allowing out-of-bounds read
An off-by-one error in a switch case in onenand_read() allowed
a misbehaving guest to read off the end of a block of memory.

NB: the onenand device is used only by the "n800" and "n810"
machines, which are usable only with TCG, not KVM, so this is
not a security issue.

441f6692ec fdc: fix segfault in fdctrl_stop_transfer() when DMA is disabled
Commit c8a35f1cf0 "fdc: use IsaDma interface instead of global DMA_*
functions" accidentally introduced a segfault in fdctrl_stop_transfer() for
non-DMA transfers.

If fdctrl->dma_chann has not been configured then the fdctrl->dma interface
reference isn't initialised during isabus_fdc_realize(). Unfortunately
fdctrl_stop_transfer() unconditionally references the DMA interface when
finishing the transfer causing a NULL pointer dereference.

Fix the issue by adding a check in fdctrl_stop_transfer() so that the DMA
interface reference and release method is only invoked if fdctrl->dma_chann
has been set.

(This issue was discovered by Martin testing a recent change in the NetBSD
installer under qemu-system-sparc)

110b9463d5 vhost-user-blk: start vhost when guest kicks
Some old guests (before commit 7a11370e5: "virtio_blk: enable VQs early")
kick virtqueue before setting VIRTIO_CONFIG_S_DRIVER_OK. This violates
the virtio spec. But virtio 1.0 transitional devices support this behaviour.
So we should start vhost when guest kicks in this case.

572023f7b2 block: Remove deprecated -drive option serial
This reinstates commit b008326744,
which was temporarily reverted for the 3.0 release so that libvirt gets
some extra time to update their command lines.

The -drive option serial was deprecated in QEMU 2.10. It's time to
remove it.

Tests need to be updated to set the serial number with -global instead
of using the -drive option.

b24ec3c462 block: Remove deprecated -drive geometry options
This reinstates commit a7aff6dd10,
which was temporarily reverted for the 3.0 release so that libvirt gets
some extra time to update their command lines.

The -drive options cyls, heads, secs and trans were deprecated in
QEMU 2.10. It's time to remove them.

hd-geo-test tested both the old version with geometry options in -drive
and the new one with -device. Therefore the code using -drive doesn't
have to be replaced there, we just need to remove the -drive test cases.
This in turn allows some simplification of the code.

443c3c9cf1 xen_disk: be consistent with use of xendev and blkdev->xendev
Certain functions in xen_disk are called with a pointer to xendev
(struct XenDevice *). They then use container_of() to acces the surrounding
blkdev (struct XenBlkDev) but then in various places use &blkdev->xendev
when use of the original xendev pointer is shorter to express and clearly
equivalent.

This patch is a purely cosmetic patch which makes sure there is a xendev
pointer on stack for any function where the pointer is need on multiple
occasions modified those functions to use it consistently.

12c1c7d7ce virtio-blk: dataplane: Don't batch notifications if EVENT_IDX is present
Commit 5b2ffbe4d9 ("virtio-blk: dataplane:
notify guest as a batch") deferred guest notification to a BH in order
batch notifications, with purpose of avoiding flooding the guest with
interruptions.

This optimization came with a cost. The average latency perceived in the
guest is increased by a few microseconds, but also when multiple IO
operations finish at the same time, the guest won't be notified until
all completions from each operation has been run. On the contrary,
virtio-scsi issues the notification at the end of each completion.

On the other hand, nowadays we have the EVENT_IDX feature that allows a
better coordination between QEMU and the Guest OS to avoid sending
unnecessary interruptions.

With this change, virtio-blk/dataplane only batches notifications if the
EVENT_IDX feature is not present.

qapi-schema.json triggers a recompile of about 4800 out of 5100
objects.

The previous commit split up qmp-commands.h, qmp-event.h, qmp-visit.h,
qapi-types.h. Each of these headers still includes all its shards.
Reduce compile time by including just the shards we actually need.

To illustrate the benefits: adding a type to qapi/migration.json now
recompiles some 2300 instead of 4800 objects. The next commit will
improve it further.

7f1d87ab0f trace: avoid SystemTap "char const" warnings
SystemTap's dtrace(1) produces the following warning when it encounters
"char const" instead of "const char":

  Warning: /usr/bin/dtrace:trace-dtrace-root.dtrace:66: syntax error near:
  probe flatview_destroy_rcu

Warning: Proceeding as if --no-pyparsing was given.

This is a limitation in current SystemTap releases. I have sent a patch
upstream to accept "char const" since it is valid C:

  https://sourceware.org/ml/systemtap/2018-q1/msg00017.html

In QEMU we still wish to avoid warnings in the current SystemTap
release. It's simple enough to replace "char const" with "const char".

I'm not changing the documentation or implementing checks to prevent
this from occurring again in the future. The next release of SystemTap
will hopefully resolve this issue.

Clean up includes so that osdep.h is included first and headers
which it implies are not included manually.

This commit was created with scripts/clean-includes, with the change
to target/s390x/gen-features.c manually reverted, and blank lines
around deletions collapsed.
