In dcr_write_dma(), there is code that uses cpu_physical_memory_map()
to implement a DMA transfer. That function takes a 'plen' argument,
which points to a hwaddr which is used for both input and output: the
caller must set it to the size of the range it wants to map, and on
return it is updated to the actual length mapped. The dcr_write_dma()
code fails to initialize rlen and wlen, so will end up mapping an
unpredictable amount of memory.
Initialize the length values correctly, and check that we managed to
map the entire range before using the fast-path memmove().
This was spotted by Coverity, which points out that we never
initialized the variables before using them.

Recent changes to pcie_host corrected size of its internal region to
match what it expects: only the low 28 bits are ever decoded. Previous
code just ignored bit 29 (if size was 1 << 29) in the address which does
not make much sense. We are now asserting on size > 1 << 28 instead,
but PPC 4xx actually allows guest to configure different sizes, and some
firmwares seem to set it to 1 << 29.
This caused e.g. qemu-system-ppc -M sam460ex to exit with an assert when
the guest writes a value to CFGMSK register when trying to map config
space. This is done in the board firmware in ppc4xx_init_pcie_port() in
roms/u-boot-sam460ex/arch/powerpc/cpu/ppc4xx/4xx_pcie.c
It's not clear what the proper fix should be but for now let's force the
size to 256MB, so anything outside the expected address range is
ignored.

This makes it difficult to automatically replace their

Patch generated using:

- add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary

In dcr_write_pcie() we take the iothread lock around a call to
pcie_host_mmcfg_udpate(). This is an incorrect attempt to deal with
the bug fixed in commit 235352ee6e, where we were not taking
the iothread lock before calling device dcr read/write functions.
(It's not sufficient locking, because although the other cases in the
switch statement won't assert, there is no locking which prevents
multiple guest CPUs from trying to access the PPC460EXPCIEState
struct at the same time and corrupting data.)
Unfortunately with commit 235352ee6e we are now trying
to recursively take the iothread lock, which will assert:
$ qemu-system-ppc -M sam460ex --display none

Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h)

hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h

Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h.

When reading base register of RAM slot with no RAM we should not try
to calculate register value because that will result printing an error
due to invalid RAM size. Just return 0 without the error in this case.

Fix the encoding of larger memory modules in the SoC registers which
allows specifying more than 1GB memory for sam460ex. Well, only 2GB
due to SoC and firmware restrictions which was the only missing value
compared to what the real hardware supports. The SoC should support up
to 4GB but when setting that the firmware hangs during memory test.
This may be an overflow bug in the firmware which I did not try to
debug but this may affect real hardware as well.

The sdram_set_bcr() function in ppc440_uc.c takes a pointer into an
array then calculates its index from that. It's simpler and easier to
just pass the index which simplifies both the function and its callers.
Do similar cleanup in ppc4xx_devs.c to similar function.

There's already a struct with the same name in ppc4xx_devs.c. They are
not used outside their files so don't clash but they are also not
identical so rename the ppc440 specific one to distinguish them.

Coverity points out in CID 1390588 that the test for sh == 0
in sdram_size() can never fire, because we calculate sh with
sh = 1024 - ((bcr >> 6) & 0x3ff);
which must result in a value between 1 and 1024 inclusive.
Without the relevant manual for the SoC, we're not completely
sure of the correct behaviour here, but we can remove the
dead code without changing how QEMU currently behaves.

Here's a last minue pull request before today's soft freeze. Ideally
I would have sent this earlier, but I was waiting for a couple of
extra fixes I knew were close. And the freeze crept up on me, like
always.
Most of the changes here are bugfixes in any case. There are some
cleanups as well, which have been in my staging tree for a little
while. There are a couple of truly new features (some extensions to
the sam460ex platform), but these are low risk, since they only affect
a new and not really stabilized machine type anyway.
Higlights are:
* Mac platform improvements from Mark Cave-Ayland
* Sam460ex improvements from BALATON Zoltan et al.
* XICS interrupt handler cleanups from Cédric Le Goater
* TCG improvements for atomic loads and stores from Richard
Henderson
* Assorted other bugfixes

PPC440 SoCs such as the AMCC 460EX have a DMA controller which is used
by AmigaOS on the sam460ex. Implement the parts used by AmigaOS so it
can get further booting on the sam460ex machine.
