sockets: allow port to be NULL when listening on IP address
Switching "port" from mandatory to optional causes the QAPI
code generator to add a 'has_port' field to the InetSocketAddress
struct. No code that created InetSocketAddress objects was updated
to set 'has_port = true', which caused the non-NULL port strings
to be silently dropped when copying InetSocketAddress objects.

Commit ac88219a had several TODO markers about whether we needed
to automatically create the corresponding array type alongside
any other type. It turns out that most of the time, we don't!
There are a few exceptions: 1) We have a few situations where we
use an array type in internal code but do not expose that type
through QMP; fix it by declaring a dummy type that forces the
generator to see that we want to use the array type.
2) The builtin arrays (such as intList for QAPI ['int']) must
always be generated, because of the way our QAPI_TYPES_BUILTIN
compile guard works: we have situations (at the very least
tests/test-qmp-output-visitor.c) that include both top-level
"qapi-types.h" (via "error.h") and a secondary
"test-qapi-types.h". If we were to only emit the builtin types
when used locally, then the first .h file would not include all
types, but the second .h does not declare anything at all because
the first .h set QAPI_TYPES_BUILTIN, and we would end up with
compilation error due to things like unknown type 'int8List'.
Actually, we may need to revisit how we do type guards, and
change from a single QAPI_TYPES_BUILTIN over to a different
usage pattern that does one #ifdef per qapi type - right now,
the only types that are declared multiple times between two qapi
.json files for inclusion by a single .c file happen to be the
builtin arrays. But now that we have QAPI 'include' statements,
it is logical to assume that we will soon reach a point where
we want to reuse non-builtin types (yes, I'm thinking about what
it will take to add introspection to QGA, where we will want to
reuse the SchemaInfo type and friends). One #ifdef per type
will help ensure that generating the same qapi type into more
than one qapi-types.h won't cause collisions when both are
included in the same .c file; but we also have to solve how to
avoid creating duplicate qapi-types.c entry points. So that
is a problem left for another day.
Generated code for qapi-types and qapi-visit is drastically
reduced; less than a third of the arrays that were blindly
created were actually needed (a quick grep shows we dropped
from 219 to 69 *List types), and the .o files lost more than
30% of their bulk. [For best results, diff the generated
files with 'git diff --patience --no-index pre post'.]
Interestingly, the introspection output is unchanged - this is
because we already cull all types that are not indirectly
reachable from a command or event, so introspection was already
using only a subset of array types. The subset of types
introspected is now a much larger percentage of the overall set
of array types emitted in qapi-types.h (since the larger set
shrunk), but still not 100% (evidence that the array types
emitted for our new Dummy structs, and the new struct itself,
don't affect QMP).

This patch is initially based a patch from Nikolay Nikolaev.
This patch adds vhost-user multiple queue support, by creating a nc
and vhost_net pair for each queue.
Qemu exits if find that the backend can't support the number of requested
queues (by providing queues=# option). The max number is queried by a
new message, VHOST_USER_GET_QUEUE_NUM, and is sent only when protocol
feature VHOST_USER_PROTOCOL_F_MQ is present first.
The max queue check is done at vhost-user initiation stage. We initiate
one queue first, which, in the meantime, also gets the max_queues the
backend supports.
In older version, it was reported that some messages are sent more times
than necessary. Here we came an agreement with Michael that we could
categorize vhost user messages to 2 types: non-vring specific messages,
which should be sent only once, and vring specific messages, which should
be sent per queue.
Here I introduced a helper function vhost_user_one_time_request(), which
lists following messages as non-vring specific messages:
VHOST_USER_SET_OWNER
VHOST_USER_RESET_DEVICE
VHOST_USER_SET_MEM_TABLE
VHOST_USER_GET_QUEUE_NUM
For above messages, we simply ignore them when they are not sent the first
time.

qapi/introspect.json defines the introspection schema. It's designed
for QMP introspection, but should do for similar uses, such as QGA.
The introspection schema does not reflect all the rules and
restrictions that apply to QAPI schemata. A valid QAPI schema has an
introspection value conforming to the introspection schema, but the
converse is not true.
Introspection lowers away a number of schema details, and makes
implicit things explicit:
* The built-in types are declared with their JSON type.
All integer types are mapped to 'int', because how many bits we use
internally is an implementation detail. It could be pressed into
external interface service as very approximate range information,
but that's a bad idea. If we need range information, we better do
it properly.
* Implicit type definitions are made explicit, and given
auto-generated names:
- Array types, named by appending "List" to the name of their
element type, like in generated C.
- The enumeration types implicitly defined by simple union types,
named by appending "Kind" to the name of their simple union type,
like in generated C.
- Types that don't occur in generated C. Their names start with ':'
so they don't clash with the user's names.
* All type references are by name.
* The struct and union types are generalized into an object type.
* Base types are flattened.
* Commands take a single argument and return a single result.
Dictionary argument or list result is an implicit type definition.
The empty object type is used when a command takes no arguments or
produces no results.
The argument is always of object type, but the introspection schema
doesn't reflect that.
The 'gen': false directive is omitted as implementation detail.
The 'success-response' directive is omitted as well for now, even
though it's not an implementation detail, because it's not used by
QMP.
* Events carry a single data value.
Implicit type definition and empty object type use, just like for
commands.
The value is of object type, but the introspection schema doesn't
reflect that.
* Types not used by commands or events are omitted.
Indirect use counts as use.
* Optional members have a default, which can only be null right now
Instead of a mandatory "optional" flag, we have an optional default.
No default means mandatory, default null means optional without
default value. Non-null is available for optional with default
(possible future extension).
* Clients should *not* look up types by name, because type names are
not ABI. Look up the command or event you're interested in, then
follow the references.
TODO Should we hide the type names to eliminate the temptation?
New generator scripts/qapi-introspect.py computes an introspection
value for its input, and generates a C variable holding it.
It can generate awfully long lines. Marked TODO.
A new test-qmp-input-visitor test case feeds its result for both
tests/qapi-schema/qapi-schema-test.json and qapi-schema.json to a
QmpInputVisitor to verify it actually conforms to the schema.
New QMP command query-qmp-schema takes its return value from that
variable. Its reply is some 85KiBytes for me right now.
If this turns out to be too much, we have a couple of options:
* We can use shorter names in the JSON. Not the QMP style.
* Optionally return the sub-schema for commands and events given as
arguments.
Right now qmp_query_schema() sends the string literal computed by
qmp-introspect.py. To compute sub-schema at run time, we'd have to
duplicate parts of qapi-introspect.py in C. Unattractive.
* Let clients cache the output of query-qmp-schema.
It changes only on QEMU upgrades, i.e. rarely. Provide a command
query-qmp-schema-hash. Clients can have a cache indexed by hash,
and re-query the schema only when they don't have it cached. Even
simpler: put the hash in the QMP greeting.

Introduce a QCryptoTLSCreds class to act as the base class for
storing TLS credentials. This will be later subclassed to provide
handling of anonymous and x509 credential types. The subclasses
will be user creatable objects, so instances can be created &
deleted via 'object-add' and 'object-del' QMP commands respectively,
or via the -object command line arg.
If the credentials cannot be initialized an error will be reported
as a QMP reply, or on stderr respectively.
The idea is to make it possible to represent and manage TLS
credentials independently of the network service that is using
them. This will enable multiple services to use the same set of
credentials and minimize code duplication. A later patch will
convert the current VNC server TLS code over to use this object.
The representation of credentials will be functionally equivalent
to that currently implemented in the VNC server with one exception.
The new code has the ability to (optionally) load a pre-generated
set of diffie-hellman parameters, if the file dh-params.pem exists,
whereas the current VNC server will always generate them on startup.
This is beneficial for admins who wish to avoid the (small) time
sink of generating DH parameters at startup and/or avoid depleting
entropy.

known to qemu.
For historic reasons qemu has two ways to specify a key: A QKeyCode
(name-based) or a number (ps/2 scancode based). Therefore we have to
update multiple places to make new keys known to qemu:
(1) The QKeyCode definition in qapi-schema.json
(2) The QKeyCode <-> number mapping table in ui/input-keymap.c
This patch does just that. With this patch applied you can send those
two keys to the guest using the send-key monitor command.

For a few QMP commands, we are forced to pass an arbitrary type
without tracking it properly in QAPI. Among the existing clients,
this unnamed type was spelled 'dict', 'visitor', and '**'; this
patch standardizes on '**', matching the documentation changes
earlier in the series.
Meanwhile, for the 'gen' key, we have been ignoring the value,
although the schema consistently used "'no'" ('success-response'
was hard-coded to checking for 'no'). But now that we can support
a literal "false" in the schema, we might as well use that rather
than ignoring the value or special-casing a random string. Note
that these are one-way switches (use of 'gen':true is not the same
as omitting 'gen'). Also, the use of '**' requires 'gen':false,
but the use of 'gen':false does not mandate the use of '**'.
There is no difference to the generated code. Add some tests on
what we'd like to guarantee, although it will take later patches
to clean up test results and actually enforce the use of a bool
parameter.

The 'QemuConsole' is the input source for handler, we share some
input handlers to process the input events from different QemuConsole.
Normally we only have one set of keyboard, mouse, usbtablet, etc.
The devices have different mask, it's fine to just checking mask to
insure that the handler has the ability to process the event.
I saw we try to bind console to handler in usb/dev-hid.c, but display
always isn't available at that time.
If we have multiseat setup (as Gerd said), we only have 'problem' in
this case. Actually event from different devices have the same effect
for system, it's fine to always use the first available handler
without caring about the console.
For send-key command, we just pass a NULL for console parameter in
calling qemu_input_event_send_key(NULL, ..), but 'input-send-event'
needs to care more devices.
Conclusion:
Generally assigning the special console is meanless, and we can't
directly remove the QMP parameter for compatibility.
So we can make the parameter optional. The parameter might be useful
for some special condition: we have multiple devices without binding
console and they all have the ability(mask) to process events, and
we don't want to use the first one.

This introduces an NMI (Non Maskable Interrupt) interface with
a single nmi_monitor_handler() method. A machine or a device can
implement it. This searches for an QOM object with this interface
and if it is implemented, calls it. The callback implements an action
required to cause debug crash dump on in-kernel debugger invocation.
The callback returns Error**.
This adds a nmi_monitor_handle() helper which walks through
all objects to find the interface. The interface method is called
for all found instances.
This adds support for it in qmp_inject_nmi(). Since no architecture
supports it at the moment, there is no change in behaviour.
This changes inject-nmi command description for HMP and QMP.

chr-testdev enables a virtio serial channel to be used for guest
initiated qemu exits. hw/misc/debugexit already enables guest
initiated qemu exits, but only for PC targets. chr-testdev supports
any virtio-capable target. kvm-unit-tests/arm is already making use
of this backend.
Currently there is a single command implemented, "q". It takes a
(prefix) argument for the exit code, thus an exit is implemented by
writing, e.g. "1q", to the virtio-serial port.
It can be used as:
$QEMU ... \
-device virtio-serial-device \
-device virtserialport,chardev=ctd -chardev testdev,id=ctd
or, use:
$QEMU ... \
-device virtio-serial-device \
-device virtconsole,chardev=ctd -chardev testdev,id=ctd
to bind it to virtio-serial port0.

In addition to the on-line reporting added in the previous patch, allow
libvirt to query frontend state independently of events.
Libvirt's path to identify the guest agent channel it cares about differs
between the event added in the previous patch and the QMP response field
added here. The event identifies the frontend device, by "id". The
'query-chardev' QMP command identifies the backend device (again by "id").
The association is under libvirt's control.

things will be a lot easier.
Types are modeled after the linux input layer. There are separate
event types for each value. There is a sync to indicate the end
of a event group.
Mouse events are split into motion events (one for each axis) and
button events, which are grouped by sync.

This patch adds native support for accessing images on NFS
shares without the requirement to actually mount the entire
NFS share on the host.
NFS Images can simply be specified by an url of the form:
nfs://<host>/<export>/<filename>[?param=value[¶m2=value2[&...]]]
For example:
qemu-img create -f qcow2 nfs://10.0.0.1/qemu-images/test.qcow2
You need LibNFS from Ronnie Sahlberg available at:
git://github.com/sahlberg/libnfs.git
for this to work.
During configure it is automatically probed for libnfs and support
is enabled on-the-fly. You can forbid or enforce libnfs support
with --disable-libnfs or --enable-libnfs respectively.
Due to NFS restrictions you might need to execute your binaries
as root, allow them to open priviledged ports (<1024) or specify
insecure option on the NFS server.
For additional information on ROOT vs. non-ROOT operation and URL
format + parameters see:
https://raw.github.com/sahlberg/libnfs/master/README
Supported by qemu are the uid, gid and tcp-syncnt URL parameters.
LibNFS currently support NFS version 3 only.

This updates the documentation for commiting snapshot images.
Specifically, this highlights what happens when the base image
is either smaller or larger than the snapshot image being committed.
In the case of the base image being smaller, it is resized to the
larger size of the snapshot image. In the case of the base image
being larger, it is not resized automatically, but once the commit
has completed it is safe for the user to truncate the base image.

'*node-name': 'str', 'password': 'str'}
}
2)
{ 'command': 'block_passwd', 'data': {'device': 'str',
'*device-is-node': 'bool',
'password': 'str'} }
Luiz proposed 1 and says 2 was an abuse of the QMP interface and proposed to
rewrite the QMP block interface for 2.0.
Luiz does not like in 1 the fact that 2 fields are optional but one of them must
be specified leading to an abuse of the QMP semantic.
Kevin argumented that 2 what a clear abuse of the device field and would not be
practical when reading fast some log file because the user would read "device"
and think that a device is manipulated when it's in fact a node name.
Documentation of 1 make it pretty clear what to do for the user.
Kevin argued that all bs are node including devices ones so 2 does not make
sense.
Kevin also argued that rewriting the QMP block interface would not make disapear
the current one.
Kevin pushed the argument that making the QAPI generator compatible with the
semantic of the operation would need a rewrite that no one has done yet.
A vote has been done on the list to elect the version to use and 1 won.

This reverts commit 6a85e60cb9.
Commit 51767e7 "qemu-char: Add new char backend CirMemCharDriver"
introduced a memory ring buffer character device driver named
"memory". Commit 3949e59 "qemu-char: Saner naming of memchar stuff &
doc fixes" changed the driver name to "ringbuf", along with a whole
bunch of other names, with the following rationale:
Naming is a mess. The code calls the device driver
CirMemCharDriver, the public API calls it "memory", "memchardev",
or "memchar", and the special commands are named like
"memchar-FOO". "memory" is a particularly unfortunate choice,
because there's another character device driver called
MemoryDriver. Moreover, the device's distinctive property is that
it's a ring buffer, not that's in memory.
This is what we released in 1.4.0.
Unfortunately, the rename missed a critical instance of "memory": the
actual driver name. Thus, the new device could be used only by an
entirely undocumented name. The documented name did not work.
Bummer.
Commit 6a85e60 fixes this by changing the documentation to match the
code. It also changes some, but not all related occurences of
"ringbuf" to "memory". Left alone are identifiers in C code, HMP and
QMP commands. The latter are external interface, so they can't be
changed.
The result is an inconsistent mess. Moreover, "memory" is a rotten
name. The device's distinctive property is that it's a ring buffer,
not that's in memory. User's don't care whether it's in RAM, flash,
or carved into chocolate tablets by Oompa Loompas.
Revert the commit. Next commit will fix just the bug.

Currently macvtap based macvlan device is working in promiscuous
mode, we want to implement mac-programming over macvtap through
Libvirt for better performance.
Design:
QEMU notifies Libvirt when rx-filter config is changed in guest,
then Libvirt query the rx-filter information by a monitor command,
and sync the change to macvtap device. Related rx-filter config
of the nic contains main mac, rx-mode items and vlan table.
This patch adds a QMP event to notify management of rx-filter change,
and adds a monitor command for management to query rx-filter
information.
Test:
If we repeatedly add/remove vlan, and change macaddr of vlan
interfaces in guest by a loop script.
Result:
The events will flood the QMP client(management), management takes
too much resource to process the events.
Event_throttle API (set rate to 1 ms) can avoid the events to flood
QMP client, but it could cause an unexpected delay (~1ms), guests
guests normally expect rx-filter updates immediately.
So we use a flag for each nic to avoid events flooding, the event
is emitted once until the query command is executed. The flag
implementation could not introduce unexpected delay.
There maybe exist an uncontrollable delay if we let Libvirt do the
real change, guests normally expect rx-filter updates immediately.
But it's another separate issue, we can investigate it when the
work in Libvirt side is done.

The drive-backup command is similar to the drive-mirror command, except
no guest data written after the command executes gets copied. Add a
sync mode argument which determines whether the entire disk is copied,
just allocated clusters, or only clusters being written to by the guest.
Currently only sync mode 'full' is supported - it copies the entire disk.
For read-only point-in-time snapshots we may only need sync mode 'none'
since the target can be a qcow2 file using the guest's disk as its
backing file (no need to copy the entire disk). Finally, sync mode
'top' is useful if we wish to preserve the backing chain.
Note that this patch just adds the sync mode argument to drive-backup.
It does not implement sync modes 'top' or 'none'. This patch is
necessary so we can add a drive-backup HMP command that behaves like the
existing drive-mirror HMP command and takes a sync mode.

This patch adds a transactional version of the drive-backup QMP command.

Note that QMP events are emitted for block job completion/cancellation
and the block job will be listed by query-block-jobs.

This capability allows you to disable dynamic chunk registration
for better throughput on high-performance links.
For example, using an 8GB RAM virtual machine with all 8GB of memory in
active use and the VM itself is completely idle using a 40 gbps infiniband link:
1. x-rdma-pin-all disabled total time: approximately 7.5 seconds @ 9.5 Gbps
2. x-rdma-pin-all enabled total time: approximately 4 seconds @ 26 Gbps
These numbers would of course scale up to whatever size virtual machine
you have to migrate using RDMA.
Enabling this feature does *not* have any measurable affect on
migration *downtime*. This is because, without this feature, all of the
memory will have already been registered already in advance during
the bulk round and does not need to be re-registered during the successive
iteration rounds.

This patch adds support for TPM command line options.
The command line options supported here are
./qemu-... -tpmdev passthrough,path=<path to TPM device>,id=<id>
-device tpm-tis,tpmdev=<id>,id=<other id>
and
./qemu-... -tpmdev help
where the latter works similar to -soundhw help and shows a list of
available TPM backends (for example 'passthrough').
Using the type parameter, the backend is chosen, i.e., 'passthrough' for the
passthrough driver. The interpretation of the other parameters along
with determining whether enough parameters were provided is pushed into
the backend driver, which needs to implement the interface function
'create' and return a TPMDriverOpts structure if the VM can be started or
'NULL' if not enough or bad parameters were provided.
Monitor support for 'info tpm' has been added. It for example prints the
following:
(qemu) info tpm
TPM devices:
tpm0: model=tpm-tis
\ tpm0: type=passthrough,path=/dev/tpm0,cancel-path=/sys/devices/pnp0/00:09/cancel

New device, has never been released, so we can still improve things
without worrying about compatibility.
Naming is a mess. The code calls the device driver CirMemCharDriver,
the public API calls it "memory", "memchardev", or "memchar", and the
special commands are named like "memchar-FOO". "memory" is a
particularly unfortunate choice, because there's another character
device driver called MemoryDriver. Moreover, the device's distinctive
property is that it's a ring buffer, not that's in memory. Therefore:
* Rename CirMemCharDriver to RingBufCharDriver, and call the thing a
"ringbuf" in the API.
* Rename QMP and HMP commands from memchar-FOO to ringbuf-FOO.
* Rename device parameter from maxcapacity to size (simple words are
good for you).
* Clearly mark the parameter as optional in documentation.
* Fix error reporting so that chardev-add reports to current monitor,
not stderr.
* Replace cirmem in C identifiers by ringbuf.
* Rework documentation. Document the impact of our crappy UTF-8
handling on reading.
* QMP examples that even work.
I could split this up into multiple commits, but they'd change the
same documentation lines multiple times. Not worth it.

Command memchar-write takes data and size parameter. Begs the
question what happens when data doesn't match size.
With format base64, qmp_memchar_write() copies the full data argument,
regardless of size argument.
With format utf8, qmp_memchar_write() copies size bytes from data,
happily reading beyond data. Copies crap from the heap or even
crashes.

Recently, linux support multiqueue tap which could let userspace call TUNSETIFF
for a signle device many times to create multiple file descriptors as
independent queues. User could also enable/disabe a specific queue through
TUNSETQUEUE.
The patch adds the generic infrastructure to create multiqueue taps. To achieve
this a new parameter "queues" were introduced to specify how many queues were
expected to be created for tap by qemu itself. Alternatively, management could
also pass multiple pre-created tap file descriptors separated with ':' through a
new parameter fds like -netdev tap,id=hn0,fds="X:Y:..:Z". Multiple vhost file
descriptors could also be passed in this way.
Each TAPState were still associated to a tap fd, which mean multiple TAPStates
were created when user needs multiqueue taps. Since each TAPState contains one
NetClientState, with the multiqueue nic support, an N peers of NetClientState
were built up.
A new parameter, mq_required were introduce in tap_open() to create multiqueue
tap fds.

qemu_chr_open_socket is split into two functions. All initialization
after creating the socket file handler is split away into the new
qemu_chr_open_socket_fd function.
chr->filename doesn't get filled from QemuOpts any more. Qemu gathers
the information using getsockname and getnameinfo instead. This way it
will also work correctly for file handles passed via file descriptor
passing.
Finally qmp_chardev_open_socket() is the actual qmp hotplug
implementation which basically just calls socket_listen or
socket_connect and the new qemu_chr_open_socket_fd function.

* 'queue/qmp' of git://repo.or.cz/qemu/qmp-unstable:
migration: go to paused state after finishing incoming migration with -S
qmp: handle stop/cont in INMIGRATE state
hmp: fix info cpus for sparc targets
Right now, stop followed by an incoming migration will let the
virtual machine start. cont before an incoming migration instead
will fail.
This is bad because the actual behavior is not predictable; it is
racy with respect to the start of the incoming migration. That's
because incoming migration is blocking, and thus will delay the
processing of stop/cont until the end of the migration.
In addition, there's nothing that really prevents the user from
typing the block device's passwords before incoming migration is
done, so returning the DeviceEncrypted error is also helpful in
the QMP case.
Both things can be fixed by just toggling the autostart variable when
stop/cont are called in INMIGRATE state.
Note that libvirt is currently working around the race by looping
if the MigrationExpected answer is returned. After this patch, the
command will return right away without ever raising an error.

Error management is important for mirroring; otherwise, an error on the
target (even something as "innocent" as ENOSPC) requires to start again
with a full copy. Similar to on_read_error/on_write_error, two separate
knobs are provided for on_source_error (reads) and on_target_error (writes).
The default is 'report' for both.
The 'ignore' policy will leave the sector dirty, so that it will be
retried later. Thus, it will not cause corruption.

This patch adds the implementation of a new job that mirrors a disk to
a new image while letting the guest continue using the old image.
The target is treated as a "black box" and data is copied from the
source to the target in the background. This can be used for several
purposes, including storage migration, continuous replication, and
observation of the guest I/O in an external program. It is also a
first step in replacing the inefficient block migration code that is
part of QEMU.
The job is possibly never-ending, but it is logically structured into
two phases: 1) copy all data as fast as possible until the target
first gets in sync with the source; 2) keep target in sync and
ensure that reopening to the target gets a correct (full) copy
of the source data.
The second phase is indicated by the progress in "info block-jobs"
reporting the current offset to be equal to the length of the file.
When the job is cancelled in the second phase, QEMU will run the
job until the source is clean and quiescent, then it will report
successful completion of the job.
In other words, the BLOCK_JOB_CANCELLED event means that the target
may _not_ be consistent with a past state of the source; the
BLOCK_JOB_COMPLETED event means that the target is consistent with
a past state of the source. (Note that it could already happen
that management lost the race against QEMU and got a completion
event instead of cancellation).
It is not yet possible to complete the job and switch over to the target
disk. The next patches will fix this and add many refinements to the
basic idea introduced here. These include improved error management,
some tunable knobs and performance optimizations.

Even for jobs that need to be manually completed, management may want
to take care itself of the completion, not requiring the user to issue
a command to terminate the job. In this case we want to avoid that
they poll us continuously, waiting for completion to become available.
Thus, add a new event that signals the phase switch and the availability
of the block-job-complete command.

While streaming can be dropped as soon as it progressed through the whole
image, mirroring needs to be completed manually for two reasons: 1) so that
management knows exactly when the VM switches to the target; 2) because
for other use cases such as replication, we may leave the operation running
for the whole life of the virtual machine.
Add a new block job command that manually completes background operations.

in nbd.c and can be shared easily between qemu-nbd and QEMU itself.
The main difference is that qemu-nbd serves a single unnamed export,

The following behaviors are possible:
'report': The behavior is the same as in 1.1. An I/O error,
respectively during a read or a write, will complete the job immediately
with an error code.
'ignore': An I/O error, respectively during a read or a write, will be
ignored. For streaming, the job will complete with an error and the
backing file will be left in place. For mirroring, the sector will be
marked again as dirty and re-examined later.
'stop': The job will be paused and the job iostatus will be set to
failed or nospace, while the VM will keep running. This can only be
specified if the block device has rerror=stop and werror=stop or enospc.
'enospc': Behaves as 'stop' for ENOSPC errors, 'report' for others.
In all cases, even for 'report', the I/O error is reported as a QMP
event BLOCK_JOB_ERROR, with the same arguments as BLOCK_IO_ERROR.
It is possible that while stopping the VM a BLOCK_IO_ERROR event will be
reported and will clobber the event from BLOCK_JOB_ERROR, or vice versa.
This is not really avoidable since stopping the VM completes all pending
I/O requests. In fact, it is already possible now that a series of
BLOCK_IO_ERROR events are reported with rerror=stop, because vm_stop
calls bdrv_drain_all and this can generate further errors.

base: the base image to commit into; optional (if not specified,

top: the top image of the commit - all data from inside top down

note, below)
speed: maximum speed, in bytes/sec
Note: Eventually this command will support merging down the active layer,

active layer is supported, the 'top' argument may become optional,

Before the qapi conversion, the sendkey command could be used to
send key codes in hex directly to the guest. In HMP, this would
be like:
(qemu) sendkey 0xdc
However, the qapi conversion broke this, as it only supports sending
QKeyCode values to the guest. That's a regression.
This commit fixes the problem by adding hex value support down
the QMP interface, qmp_send_key().
In more detail, this commit:
1. Adds the KeyValue union. This can represent an hex value or
a QKeyCode value
2. *Changes* the QMP send-key command to take an KeyValue argument
instead of a QKeyCode one
3. Adapt hmp_send_key() to the QMP interface changes
Item 2 is an incompatible change, but as we're in development phase
(and this command has been merged a few weeks ago) this shouldn't be
a problem.
Finally, it's not possible to split this commit without breaking the
build.
