c1d99200dd tests/tpm: fix tpm_util_swtpm_has_tpm2()
Using g_spawn_async_with_pipes() is more complicated than running the
sync version. The async version returns a file descriptor for stdout, which may
not be fully read. Sometime "--tpm2" will failed to be read, and will
cause the related test to be silently skipped.

Use g_spawn_sync() instead, simplifying the code and fixing the race.

da7e92cac9 block: Clean up bdrv_img_create()'s error reporting
bdrv_img_create() takes an Error ** argument and uses it in the
conventional way, except for one place: when qemu_opts_do_parse()
fails, it first reports its error to stderr or the HMP monitor with
error_report_err(), then error_setg()'s a generic error.

When the caller reports that second error similarly, this produces two
consecutive error messages on stderr or the HMP monitor.

When the caller does something else with it, such as send it via QMP,
the first error still goes to stderr or the HMP monitor. Fortunately,
no such caller exists.

Simply use the first error as is. Update expected output of
qemu-iotest 049 accordingly.

89a603a0c8 qemu-timer: introduce timer attributes
Attributes are simple flags, associated with individual timers for their
whole lifetime. They intended to be used to mark individual timers for
special handling when they fire.

New/init functions family in timer interface updated and refactored (new
'attribute' argument added, timer_list replaced with timer_list_group+type
combinations, comments improved to avoid info duplication). Also existing
aio interface extended with attribute-enabled variants of functions,
which create/initialize timers.

7a6c377f6b tests: Prevent more accidental test disabling
GNU make is perfectly happy to use 'check-FOO-y += bar' to
initialize check-FOO-y. (GNU Automake strictly insists that
you cannot use += until after an initial = per variable, but
thankfully we aren't using automake).

As we have had more than one instance where copy-and-paste of
'check-FOO-y = bar' from a first test under category FOO into
an additional test, which ends up disabling the first (see
commits 992159c7 and 4429532b), it's better to just always use
the form that survives copy-and-paste, even for categories that
don't currently add more than one test.

Done with s/^\(check-[a-z]*-y \)=/\1+=/g

36bd9e3c8b migration-test: Only generate a single target architecture
Several changes:
- We only allow generate header "inside" the tree. Why? Because we
need to connit the result, so it makes no sense to generate them on
  the build dir.
- We only generate a single target each time. Getting all the
cross-compilers correctly is an impossible task. So know you do:
     make -C tests/migration $target (native)
     make CROSS_PREFIX=foo- -C tests/migratiion $target (cross)
  And you are done.

- If we are building out of tree, we have no data about if we are
cross-compile or whatever. So instead of guess what is happening,
just do what I pointed on previous point.

c02b37814c tests: Add migration test for aarch64
This patch adds migration test support for aarch64. The test code, which
implements the same functionality as x86, is booted as a kernel in qemu.
Here are the design choices we make for aarch64:

 * We choose this -kernel approach because aarch64 QEMU doesn't provide a
built-in fw like x86 does. So instead of relying on a boot loader, we
   use -kernel approach for aarch64.
 * The serial output is sent to PL011 directly.
 * The physical memory base for mach-virt machine is 0x40000000. We change
   the start_address and end_address for aarch64.

In addition to providing the binary, this patch also includes the source
code and the build script in tests/migration/aarch64. So users can change
the source and/or re-compile the binary as they wish.

3ac1f81329 tests/fp/fp-test: add floating point tests
By leveraging berkeley's softfloat and testfloat.

With this we get decent coverage of softfloat.c:

$ ./fp-test -r even:	67.22% coverage
$ ./fp-test -r all:	73.11% coverage

Note that we do not yet test parts of softfloat.c that aren't
in the original softfloat library, namely:

- denormal inputs
- *_to_int16/uint16 conversions
- scalbn for fixed point
- muladd variants
- min/max
- exp2
- log2
- float*_compare (except float16_compare)

It is yet unclear whether this should really be considered a bug in the
test case or whether blk_unref() should work for callers that haven't
taken the AioContext lock, but in order to fix the build tests quickly,
just take the AioContext lock around blk_unref().

cb53460b70 block-backend: Set werror/rerror defaults in blk_new()
Currently, the default values for werror and rerror have to be set
explicitly with blk_set_on_error() by the callers of blk_new(). The only
caller actually doing this is blockdev_init(), which is called for
BlockBackends created using -drive.

In particular, anonymous BlockBackends created with
-device ...,drive=<node-name> didn't get the correct default set and
instead defaulted to the integer value 0 (= BLOCKDEV_ON_ERROR_REPORT).
This is the intended default for rerror anyway, but the default for
werror should be BLOCKDEV_ON_ERROR_ENOSPC.

Set the defaults in blk_new() instead so that they apply no matter what
way the BlockBackend was created.

b749562d98 qcow2: Assign the L2 cache relatively to the image size
Sufficient L2 cache can noticeably improve the performance when using
large images with frequent I/O.

Previously, unless 'cache-size' was specified and was large enough, the
L2 cache was set to a certain size without taking the virtual image size
into account.

Now, the L2 cache assignment is aware of the virtual size of the image,
and will cover the entire image, unless the cache size needed for that is
larger than a certain maximum. This maximum is set to 1 MB by default
(enough to cover an 8 GB image with the default cluster size) but can
be increased or decreased using the 'l2-cache-size' option. This option
was previously documented as the *maximum* L2 cache size, and this patch
makes it behave as such, instead of as a constant size. Also, the
existing option 'cache-size' can limit the sum of both L2 and refcount
caches, as previously.

b857431d2a file-posix: Include filename in locking error message
Image locking errors happening at device initialization time doesn't say
which file cannot be locked, for instance,

-device scsi-disk,drive=drive-1: Failed to get shared "write" lock
Is another process using the image?

could refer to either the overlay image or its backing image.

Hoist the error_append_hint to the caller of raw_check_lock_bytes where
file name is known, and include it in the error hint.
