81a75deb1a hw/misc/iotkit-secctl: Wire up registers for controlling MSCs
The IoTKit does not have any Master Security Contollers itself,
but it does provide registers in the secure privilege control
block which allow control of MSCs in the external system.
Add support for these registers.

Implement a model of the TrustZone Master Securtiy Controller,
as documented in the Arm CoreLink SIE-200 System IP for
Embedded TRM  (DDI0571G):

The MSC is intended to sit in front of a device which can
be a bus master (eg a DMA controller) and programmably gate
its transactions. This allows a bus-mastering device to be
controlled by non-secure code but still restricted from
making accesses to addresses which are secure-only.

93739075d2 hw/misc/mps2-fpgaio: Implement PSCNTR and COUNTER
In the MPS2 FPGAIO, PSCNTR is a free-running downcounter with
a reload value configured via the PRESCALE register, and
COUNTER counts up by 1 every time PSCNTR reaches zero.
Implement these counters.

We can just increment the counters migration subsection's
version ID because we only added it in the previous commit,
so no released QEMU versions will be using it.

3eff40dbf4 hw/misc: Remove mmio_interface device
The mmio_interface device was a purely internal artifact
of the implementation of the memory subsystem's request_ptr
APIs. Now that we have removed those APIs, we can remove
the mmio_interface device too.

ebe31c0a8e aspeed: add a max_ram_size property to the memory controller
This will be used to construct a memory region beyond the RAM region
to let firmwares scan the address space with load/store to guess how
much RAM the SoC has.

d131bc28a6 aspeed_sdmc: Fix saved values
This fixes the intended protection of read-only values in the
configuration register. They were being always set to zero by mistake.

The read-only fields depend on the configured memory size of the system,
so they cannot be fixed at compile time. The most straight forward
option was to store them in the state structure.

fe04f0b4a1 hw/display/xlnx_dp: Move problematic code from instance_init to realize
aux_create_slave() calls qdev_init_nofail() which in turn "realizes"
the corresponding object. This is unlike qdev_create(), and it is wrong
because qdev_init_nofail() must not be called from an instance_init
function.  Move qdev_init_nofail() and the subsequent aux_map_slave into
the caller's realize function.

There are two more bugs that needs to be fixed here, too, where the
objects are created but not added as children.  Therefore when
you call object_unparent on them, nothing happens.

In particular dpcd and edid give you an infinite loop in bus_unparent,
because device_unparent is not called and does not remove them from
the list of devices on the bus.

333b9c8a68 aspeed: Implement write-1-{set, clear} for AST2500 strapping
The AST2500 SoC family changes the runtime behaviour of the hardware
strapping register (SCU70) to write-1-set/write-1-clear, with
write-1-clear implemented on the "read-only" SoC revision register
(SCU7C). For the the AST2400, the hardware strapping is
runtime-configured with read-modify-write semantics.

fda9aaa60e aspeed/scu: introduce clock frequencies
All Aspeed SoC clocks are driven by an input source clock which can
have different frequencies : 24MHz or 25MHz, and also, on the Aspeed
AST2400 SoC, 48MHz. The H-PLL (CPU) clock is defined from a
calculation using parameters in the H-PLL Parameter register or from a
predefined set of frequencies if the setting is strapped by hardware
(Aspeed AST2400 SoC). The other clocks of the SoC are then defined
from the H-PLL using dividers.

We introduce first the APB clock because it should be used to drive
the Aspeed timer model.

Implement the SECMPCINTSTATUS register. This is the only register
in the security controller that deals with Memory Protection
Controllers, and it simply provides a read-only view of the
interrupt lines from the various MPCs in the system.

344f4b1581 hw/misc/tz-mpc.c: Implement the Arm TrustZone Memory Protection Controller
Implement the Arm TrustZone Memory Protection Controller, which sits
in front of RAM and allows secure software to configure it to either
pass through or reject transactions.

We implement the MPC as a QEMU IOMMU, which will direct transactions
either through to the devices and memory behind it or to a special
"never works" AddressSpace if they are blocked.

This initial commit implements the skeleton of the device:
 * it always permits accesses
 * it doesn't implement most of the registers
 * it doesn't implement the interrupt or other behaviour
   for blocked transactions

In the case where we have an interrupt generated externally from inputs to
bits 1 and 2 of port A and/or port B, it is necessary to expose

f1114c17ee mac_newworld: add via machine option to control mac99 VIA/ADB configuration
This option allows the VIA configuration to be controlled between 3
different possible setups: cuda, pmu-adb and pmu with USB rather than ADB
keyboard/mouse.

For the moment we don't do anything with the configuration except to pass
it to the macio device (the via-cuda parent) and also to the firmware via
the fw_cfg interface so that it can present the correct device tree.

The default is cuda which is the current default and so will have no
change in behaviour.

d638fd5c96 mos6522: move timer frequency initialisation to mos6522_reset
The 6522 VIA timer frequency cannot be set by altering registers within the
device itself and hence it is a fixed property of the machine.

Move the initialisation of the timer frequency to the mos6522 reset function
and ensure that any subclasses always call the parent reset function so that
it isn't required to store the timer frequency within vmstate_mos6522_timer
itself.

By moving the frequency initialisation to the device reset function then we
find that the realize function for both mos6522 and mos6522_cuda becomes
obsolete and can simply be removed.

2e3e5c7e92 cuda: embed mos6522_cuda device directly rather than using QOM object link
Examining the migration stream it can be seen that the mos6522 device state is
being stored separately rather than as part of the CUDA device which is
incorrect (and likely to cause issues if another mos6522 device is added to
the machine).

Resolve this by embedding the mos6522_cuda device directly within the CUDA
device rather than using a QOM object link to reference the device separately.

Note that we also bump the version in vmstate_cuda to reflect this change: this
isn't particularly important for the moment as the Mac machine migration isn't
100% reliable due to issues migrating the timebase under TCG.

collection of registers for controlling the PPCs and other bits of

The MOS6522 VIA forms the bridge part of several Mac devices, including the
Mac via-cuda and via-pmu devices. Introduce a standard mos6522 device that
can be shared amongst multiple implementations.

This is effectively taking the 6522 parts out of cuda.c and turning them
into a separate device whilst also applying some style tidy-ups and including
a conversion to trace-events.

b6e70d1d7f hw/arm/aspeed: Unlock SCU when running kernel
The ASPEED hardware contains a lock register for the SCU that disables
any writes to the SCU when it is locked. The machine comes up with the
lock enabled, but on all known hardware u-boot will unlock it and leave
it unlocked when loading the kernel.

This means the kernel expects the SCU to be unlocked. When booting from
an emulated ROM the normal u-boot unlock path is executed. Things don't
go well when booting using the -kernel command line, as u-boot does not
run first.

Change behaviour so that when a kernel is passed to the machine, set the
reset value of the SCU to be unlocked.

Implement a model of the Serial Communication Controller (SCC) found
in MPS2 FPGA images.

The primary purpose of this device is to communicate with the
Motherboard Configuration Controller (MCC) which is located on
the MPS board itself, outside the FPGA image. This is used
for programming the MPS clock generators. The SCC also has
some basic ID registers and an output for the board LEDs.

54a5ba13a9 target-arm: Implement BCM2835 hardware RNG
Recent vanilla Raspberry Pi kernels started to make use of
the hardware random number generator in BCM2835 SoC. As a
result, those kernels wouldn't work anymore under QEMU
but rather just freeze during the boot process.

This patch implements a trivial BCM2835 compatible RNG,
and adds it as a peripheral to BCM2835 platform, which
allows to boot a vanilla Raspberry Pi kernel under Qemu.

c2da8a8b90 ast2400: add a memory controller device model
The uboot in the previous release of the SDK was using a hardcoded
value for memory size. This is not true anymore, the value is now
retrieved from the memory controller.

Below is a model for this device, only supporting unlock and
configuration. Without it, we endup running a guest with 64MB, which
is a bit low nowdays. It uses a 'silicon-rev' property and ram_size to
build a default value. Some bits should be linked to SCU strapping
registers but it seems a bit complex to add for the current need.

The model is ready for the AST2500 SOC.

66542f6399 i.MX: split the GPT timer implementation into per SOC definitions
In various Freescale SOCs, the GPT timers can be configured to select
its input clock.

Depending on the SOC the set of available input clocks may vary.

The actual single GPT definition was no good enough and because of it
booting the sabrelite board with a i.MX6DL device tree would fail
because of an incorrect input clock definition for the i.MX6DL SOC.

This patch fixes the i.MX6DL boot failure by adding the ability to
define a different set of input clocks depending on the considered SOC.

A different class has been defined for i.MX25, i.MX31 and i.MX6 each with
its specific set of input clocks.

The patch has been tested by booting KZM, i.MX25 PDK, i.MX6Q sabrelite
and i.MX6DL sabrelite.

1c8a2388aa hw/misc: Add a model for the ASPEED System Control Unit
The SCU is a collection of chip-level control registers that manage the
various functions supported by ASPEED SoCs. Typically the bits control
interactions with clocks, external hardware or reset behaviour, and we
can largly take a hands-off approach to reads and writes.

Firmware makes heavy use of the state to determine how to boot, but the
reset values vary from SoC to SoC (eg AST2400 vs AST2500). A qdev
property is exposed so that the integrating SoC model can configure the
silicon revision, which in-turn selects the appropriate reset values.
Further qdev properties are exposed so the board model can configure the
board-dependent hardware strapping.

Almost all provided AST2400 reset values are specified by the datasheet.
The notable exception is SOC_SCRATCH1, where we mark the DRAM as
successfully initialised to avoid unnecessary dark corners in the SoC's
u-boot support.

Implement ITC as a single object consisting of two memory regions:

1) tag_io: ITC Configuration Tags (i.e. ITCAddressMap{0,1} registers) which
are accessible by the CPU via CACHE instruction. Also adding
MemoryRegion *itc_tag to the CPUMIPSState so that CACHE instruction will
dispatch reads/writes directly.

2) storage_io: memory-mapped ITC Storage whose address space is configurable
(i.e. enabled/remapped/resized) by writing to ITCAddressMap{0,1} registers.

ITC Storage contains FIFO and Semaphore cells. Read-only FIFO bit in the
ITC cell tag indicates the type of the cell. If the ITC Storage contains
both types of cells then FIFOs are located before Semaphores.

Since issuing thread can get blocked on the access to a cell (in E/F
Synchronized and P/V Synchronized Views) each cell has a bitmap to track

2edd5261ff hw/mips/cps: create CPC block inside CPS
Create Cluster Power Controller and add a link to the CPC MemoryRegion
in GCR. Guest can enable / map CPC to any physical address by writing to
the memory-mapped GCR_CPC_BASE register.

Set vp-start-reset property to 1 to allow only first VP to run from reset.
Others are brought up by the guest via CPC memory-mapped registers.

1f93a6e4f3 hw/mips: add initial Cluster Power Controller support
Cluster Power Controller (CPC) is responsible for power management in
multiprocessing system. It provides registers to control the power and the
clock frequency of the individual elements in the system.

This patch implements only three registers that are used to control the
power state of each VP on a single core:
* VP Run is a write-only register used to set each VP to the run state
* VP Stop is a write-only register used to set each VP to the suspend state
* VP Running is a read-only register indicating the run state of each VP

355a8ccc5c bcm2835_property: implement framebuffer control/configuration properties
The property channel driver now interfaces with the framebuffer device
to query and set framebuffer parameters. As a result of this, the "get
ARM RAM size" query now correctly returns the video RAM base address
(not total RAM size), and the ram-size property is no longer relevant
here.

d552f675fb i.MX: Add the CLK_IPG_HIGH clock
EPIT, GPT and other i.MX timers are using "abstract" clocks among which
a CLK_IPG_HIGH clock.

On i.MX25 and i.MX31 CLK_IPG and CLK_IPG_HIGH are mapped to the same clock
but on other SOC like i.MX6 they are mapped to distinct clocks.

This patch add the CLK_IPG_HIGH to prepare for SOC where these 2 clocks are
different.

f4b2add6cc i.MX: Remove CCM useless clock computation handling.
Most clocks supported by the CCM are useless to the qemu framework.

Only clocks related to timers (EPIT, GPT, PWM, WATCHDOG, ...) are usefull
to QEMU code.

Therefore this patch removes clock computation handling for all clocks but:
* CLK_NONE,
* CLK_IPG,
* CLK_32k

f0afa73164 bcm2835_property: implement "get board revision" query
Return a valid value from the BCM2835 property mailbox query "get board
revision". This query is used by U-Boot. Implementing it fixes the first
obvious difference between qemu and real HW.

The value returned is currently hard-coded to match the RPi2 I own. Other
values are legal, e.g. different board manufacturer field values are
likely to exist in the wild.

cb54d868c6 i.MX: Split the CCM class into an abstract base class and a concrete class
The IMX_CCM class is now the base abstract class that is used by EPIT
and GPT timer implementation.

IMX31_CCM class is the concrete class implementing CCM for i.MX31 SOC.

For now the i.MX25 continues to use the i.MX31 CCM implementation.

An i.MX25 specific CCM will be introduced in a later patch.

We also rework initialization to stop using deprecated sysbus device init.

5105b1d8c2 ivshmem: add check on protocol version in QEMU
Send a protocol version as the first message from server, clients must
close communication if they don't support this protocol version.  Older
QEMUs should be fine with this change in the protocol since they
overrides their own vm_id on reception of an id associated to no
eventfd.

bbbbd9002f stm32f2xx_SYSCFG: Add the stm32f2xx SYSCFG
This patch adds the stm32f2xx System Configuration
Controller. This is used to configure what memory is mapped
at address 0 (although that is not supported) as well
as configure how the EXTI interrupts work (also not
supported at the moment).

This device is not required for basic examples, but more
complex systems will require it (as well as the EXTI device)

6d8be4c343 vfio: Add vfio_container_ioctl()
While most operations with VFIO IOMMU driver are generic and used inside
vfio.c, there are still some operations which only specific VFIO IOMMU
drivers implement. The first example of it will be reading a DMA window
start from the host.

This adds a helper which passes an ioctl request to the container's fd.

The helper will check if @req is known. For this, stub is added. This return
-1 on any requests for now.

b86160555f integrator: fix Linux boot failure by emulating dbg region
Commit 9b8c69243 (since reverted) broke the ability to boot the kernel
as the value returned by unassigned_mem_read returned non-zero and left
the kernel looping forever waiting for it to change (see
integrator_led_set in the kernel code).

Relying on a varying implementation detail is incorrect anyway so this
introduces a basic stub of a memory region for the debug/LED section
on the integrator board.

0d09e41a51 hw: move headers to include/
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification.
Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending
on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target.
However, fixing this does not belong in these patches.
