The qemu_v9fs_synth_mkdir() and qemu_v9fs_synth_add_file() functions
currently return a positive errno value on failure. This causes
checkpatch.pl to spit several errors like the one below:
ERROR: return of an errno should typically be -ve (return -EAGAIN)
+ return EAGAIN;
Simply change the sign. This has no consequence since callers
assert() the returned value to be equal to 0.

Tweak the semantic patch to drop redundant parenthesis around the
return expression.
Coccinelle drops a comment in hw/rdma/vmw/pvrdma_cmd.c; restored
manually.
Coccinelle messes up vmdk_co_create(), not sure why. Change dropped,
will be done manually in the next commit.
Line breaks in target/avr/cpu.h and hw/rdma/vmw/pvrdma_cmd.c tidied up
manually.
Whitespace in tools/virtiofsd/fuse_lowlevel.c tidied up manually.
checkpatch.pl complains "return of an errno should typically be -ve"
two times for hw/9pfs/9p-synth.c. Preexisting, the patch merely makes
it visible to checkpatch.pl.

The 'synth' driver's root node and the 'synth' driver's first
subdirectory node falsely share the same inode number (zero), which
makes it impossible for 9p clients (i.e. 9p test cases) to distinguish
root node and first subdirectory from each other by comparing their QIDs
(which are derived by 9p server from driver's inode numbers).
Fix this issue by using prefix-increment instead of postfix-increment
operator while generating new inode numbers for subdirectories and files.

g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n). It's also safer,
for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t.
Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch
more type errors.
This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form
sizeof(T).
Initial patch created mechanically with:

This uncovers a typing error:

On darwin d_seekoff exists, but is optional and does not seem to
be commonly used by file systems. Use `telldir` instead to obtain
the seek offset and inject it into d_seekoff, and create a
qemu_dirent_off helper to call it appropriately when appropriate.

Replaced a call to qemu_mutex_lock and its respective call to
qemu_mutex_unlock and used QEMU_LOCK_GUARD macro in their place.
This simplifies the code by removing the call required to unlock
and also eliminates goto paths.

Don't trigger any performance warning if we're just running test cases,
because tests intentionally run for edge cases.
So far performance warnings were suppressed for the 'synth' fs driver
backend only. This patch suppresses them for all 9p fs driver backends.

Previous patch introduced a performance warning being logged on host
side if client connected with an 'msize' <= 8192. Disable this
performance warning for the synth driver to prevent that warning from
being printed whenever the 9pfs (qtest) test cases are running.
Introduce a new export flag V9FS_NO_PERF_WARN for that purpose, which
might also be used to disable such warnings from the CLI in future.
We could have also prevented the warning by simply raising P9_MAX_SIZE
in virtio-9p-test.c to any value larger than 8192, however in the
context of test cases it makes sense running for edge cases, which
includes the lowest 'msize' value supported by the server which is
4096, hence we want to preserve an msize of 4096 for the test client.

The idea is to send a victim request that will possibly block in the
server and to send a flush request to cancel the victim request.
This patch adds two test to verifiy that:
- the server does not reply to a victim request that was actually
cancelled
- the server replies to the flush request after replying to the
victim request if it could not cancel it

The purpose of virtio-9p-test is to test the virtio-9p device, especially
the 9p server state machine. We don't really care what fsdev backend we're
using. Moreover, if we want to be able to test the flush request or a
device reset with in-flights I/O, it is close to impossible to achieve
with a physical backend because we cannot ask it reliably to put an I/O
on hold at a specific point in time.
Fortunately, we can do that with the synthetic backend, which allows to
register callbacks on read/write accesses to a specific file. This will
be used by a later patch to test the 9P flush request.
The walk request test is converted to using the synth backend.

This patch changes some error messages in the backend init code and
convert backends to propagate QEMU Error objects instead of calling
error_report().
One notable improvement is that the local backend now provides a more
detailed error report when it fails to open the shared directory.

This patch changes the 9p code to use readdir() again instead of
readdir_r(), which is deprecated in glibc 2.24.
