a3ebd6e00a qos-test: vhost-user test node
Convert tests/virtio-net-test in qgraph test node,
virtio-net-test. This test consumes a virtio-net interface
and checks that its function return the expected values.

Note that this test does not allocate any virtio-net structure,
it's all done by the qtest walking graph mechanism. Nevertheless,
vhost-user-test is a bit more complex than the other tests, because
it requires more complicated setup of back-ends and thus almost each
test has a slightly different opts.before function.

0f9fe58009 vhost-user-test: always use 256 MiB of guest memory
Some tests are using a small amount of RAM for the guest (2 MiB) in order to
save host memory, others are using 512 MiB.

However, pSeries machines only support multiples of 256 MiB. Using 256
MiB of memory does not use more host memory than now, even for the
migration test that starts two guests, and it allows running the test on
pSeries too.

This of course is not optimal, it would be nice to let the qgraph machine object
judge how much memory to provide. This is left for future work, together
with a more generic framework that wraps the QEMU command line.

eb5937bad6 tests/libqos: embed allocators instead of malloc-ing them separately
qgraph will embed these objects instead of allocating them in a separate
object. Expose a new API "generic_alloc_init" and "generic_alloc_destroy"
for that, and rename the existing API with s/init/new/ and s/uninit/free/.

143e6db6fa tests/libqos: rename qpci_init_pc and qpci_init_spapr functions
Rename qpci_init_pc in qpci_pc_new and qpci_init_spapr in qpci_spapr_new,
since these function actually allocate a new pci struct and initialize it
(compare to object_new and object_initialize).

9ee1bb86f6 vhost-user-test: small changes to init_hugepagefs
After the conversion to qgraph, the equivalent of "main" will be in
a constructor and will run even if the tests are not being requested.
Therefore, it should not assert that init_hugepagefs succeeds and will
be called when creating the TestServer. This patch changes the prototype
of init_hugepagefs, this way the next patch looks nicer.

af3bba761a vhost-net: compile it on all targets that have virtio-net.

Most files that have TABs only contain a handful of them. Change
them to spaces so that we don't confuse people.

disas, standard-headers, linux-headers and libdecnumber are imported

Outside those, after this patch the following files still contain both

015715f554 tests: Clean up string interpolation into QMP input (simple cases)

instance, if @uri contained a single "'", qobject_from_vjsonf_nofail()
would abort. A sufficiently nasty @uri could even inject unwanted
members into the arguments object.

Leaving interpolation into JSON to qmp() is more robust:

    rsp = qmp("{ 'execute': 'migrate', 'arguments': { 'uri': %s } }", uri);

It's also more concise.

Clean up the simple cases where we interpolate exactly a JSON value.

Bonus: gets rid of non-literal format strings. A step towards
compile-time format string checking without triggering
-Wformat-nonliteral.

9ee8a692f1 vhost-user-test: added proper TestServer *dest initialization in test_migrate()
server->bus in _test_server_free() could be NULL, since TestServer
*dest in test_migrate() was not properly initialized like TestServer *s.
Added init_virtio_dev(dest) and uninit_virtio_dev(dest), so the fields
are properly set and when test_server_free(dest); is called, they can
be correctly freed.

The reason for that is init_virtio_dev() calls qpci_init_pc(), that
creates a QPCIBusPC * (returned as QPCIBus *), while test_server_free()
calls qpci_free_pc(), that frees the QPCIBus *. Not calling
init_virtio_dev() would leave the QPCIBus * of TestServer unset.

Problem came out once I modified pci-pc.c and pci-pc.h, modifying
QPCIBusPC by adding another field before QPCIBus bus. Re-running the
tests showed vhost-user-test failing.

e7b3af8159 glib: bump min required glib library version to 2.40
Per supported platforms doc[1], the various min glib on relevant distros is:

  RHEL-7: 2.50.3
  Debian (Stretch): 2.50.3
  Debian (Jessie): 2.42.1
  OpenBSD (Ports): 2.54.3
  FreeBSD (Ports): 2.50.3
  OpenSUSE Leap 15: 2.54.3
  SLE12-SP2: 2.48.2
  Ubuntu (Xenial): 2.48.0
  macOS (Homebrew): 2.56.0

This suggests that a minimum glib of 2.42 is a reasonable target.

The GLibC compile farm, however, uses Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty) which only
has glib 2.40.0, and this is needed for testing during merge. Thus an
exception is made to the documented platform support policy to allow for
all three current LTS releases to be supported.

Docker jobs that not longer satisfy this new min version are removed.

cb3e7f08ae qobject: Replace qobject_incref/QINCREF qobject_decref/QDECREF
Now that we can safely call QOBJECT() on QObject * as well as its
subtypes, we can have macros qobject_ref() / qobject_unref() that work
everywhere instead of having to use QINCREF() / QDECREF() for QObject
and qobject_incref() / qobject_decref() for its subtypes.

The replacement is mechanical, except I broke a long line, and added a
cast in monitor_qmp_cleanup_req_queue_locked().  Unlike
qobject_decref(), qobject_unref() doesn't accept void *.

Note that the new macros evaluate their argument exactly once, thus no
need to shout them.

Before the chardev name fix, the following error may happen: "attempt

Sadly, error_vprintf() uses g_test_message(), so you have to use
read the cryptic --debug-log to see it. Later, it would make sense to
use g_critical() instead, and catch errors with
g_test_expect_message() (in glib 2.34).

05e520f1c7 libqos: Use explicit QTestState for fw_cfg operations
Drop one more client of global_qtest by teaching all fw_cfg test
functionality (invoked through alloc-pc) to pass in an explicit

had to reorder things to create the test state prior to creating
the fw_cfg (and drop a pointless strdup in the meantime), but that

e5d1730d1e libqos: Track QTestState with QPCIBus
When initializing a QPCIBus, track which QTestState the bus is
associated with (so that a later patch can then explicitly use
that test state for all communication on the bus, rather than
blindly relying on global_qtest). Update the initialization
functions to take another parameter, and update all callers to
pass in state (for now, most callers get away with passing the
current global_qtest as the current state, although this required
fixing the order of initialization to ensure qtest_start() is
called before qpci_init*() in rtl8139-test, and provided an
opportunity to pass in the allocator in e1000e-test).

Touch up some allocations to use g_new0() rather than g_malloc()
while in the area, and simplify some code (all implementations
of QOSOps provide a .init_allocator() that never fails).
