Add qgraph nodes for virtio-serial-pci and virtio-serial-device.
Both nodes produce virtio-serial, but virtio-serial-pci receives
a pci-bus and uses virtio-pci QOSGraphObject and functions,
while virtio-serial-device receives a virtio-bus and implements
its own functions

The #include directives to pull in sub-modules use file names relative
to the main module. Works only when all modules are in the same
directory, or the main module's output directory is in the compiler's
include path. Use relative file names instead.
The dummy variable we generate to avoid empty .o files has an invalid
name for sub-modules in other directories. Fix that.
Both messed up in commit 252dc3105f "qapi: Generate separate .h, .c
for each module". Escaped testing because tests/qapi-schema-test.json
doesn't cover sub-modules in other directories, only
tests/qapi-schema/include-relpath.json does, and we generate and
compile C code only for the former, not the latter. Fold the latter
into the former. This would have caught the mistakes fixed in this
commit.

The 'qemu_acl' type was a previous non-QOM based attempt to provide an
authorization facility in QEMU. Because it is non-QOM based it cannot be
created via the command line and requires special monitor commands to
manipulate it.
The new QAuthZ subclasses provide a superset of the functionality in
qemu_acl, so the latter can now be deleted. The HMP 'acl_*' monitor
commands are converted to use the new QAuthZSimple data type instead
in order to provide temporary backwards compatibility.

Add an authorization backend that talks to PAM to check whether the user
identity is allowed. This only uses the PAM account validation facility,
which is essentially just a check to see if the provided username is permitted
access. It doesn't use the authentication or session parts of PAM, since
that's dealt with by the relevant part of QEMU (eg VNC server).
Consider starting QEMU with a VNC server and telling it to use TLS with
x509 client certificates and configuring it to use an PAM to validate
the x509 distinguished name. In this example we're telling it to use PAM
for the QAuthZ impl with a service name of "qemu-vnc"
$ qemu-system-x86_64 \
-object tls-creds-x509,id=tls0,dir=/home/berrange/security/qemutls,\
endpoint=server,verify-peer=yes \
-object authz-pam,id=authz0,service=qemu-vnc \
-vnc :1,tls-creds=tls0,tls-authz=authz0
This requires an /etc/pam/qemu-vnc file to be created with the auth
rules. A very simple file based whitelist can be setup using
$ cat > /etc/pam/qemu-vnc <<EOF
account requisite pam_listfile.so item=user sense=allow file=/etc/qemu/vnc.allow
EOF
The /etc/qemu/vnc.allow file simply contains one username per line. Any
username not in the file is denied. The usernames in this example are
the x509 distinguished name from the client's x509 cert.
$ cat > /etc/qemu/vnc.allow <<EOF
CN=laptop.berrange.com,O=Berrange Home,L=London,ST=London,C=GB
EOF
More interesting would be to configure PAM to use an LDAP backend, so
that the QEMU authorization check data can be centralized instead of
requiring each compute host to have file maintained.
The main limitation with this PAM module is that the rules apply to all
QEMU instances on the host. Setting up different rules per VM, would
require creating a separate PAM service name & config file for every
guest. An alternative approach for the future might be to not pass in
the plain username to PAM, but instead combine the VM name or UUID with
the username. This requires further consideration though.

Add a QAuthZListFile object type that implements the QAuthZ interface. This
built-in implementation is a proxy around the QAuthZList object type,
initializing it from an external file, and optionally, automatically
reloading it whenever it changes.
To create an instance of this object via the QMP monitor, the syntax
used would be:
{
"execute": "object-add",
"arguments": {
"qom-type": "authz-list-file",
"id": "authz0",
"props": {
"filename": "/etc/qemu/vnc.acl",
"refresh": true
}
}
}
If "refresh" is "yes", inotify is used to monitor the file,
automatically reloading changes. If an error occurs during reloading,
all authorizations will fail until the file is next successfully
loaded.
The /etc/qemu/vnc.acl file would contain a JSON representation of a
QAuthZList object
{
"rules": [
{ "match": "fred", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
{ "match": "bob", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
{ "match": "danb", "policy": "deny", "format": "glob" },
{ "match": "dan*", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
],
"policy": "deny"
}
This sets up an authorization rule that allows 'fred', 'bob' and anyone
whose name starts with 'dan', except for 'danb'. Everyone unmatched is
denied.
The object can be loaded on the comand line using
-object authz-list-file,id=authz0,filename=/etc/qemu/vnc.acl,refresh=yes

Add a QAuthZList object type that implements the QAuthZ interface. This
built-in implementation maintains a trivial access control list with a
sequence of match rules and a final default policy. This replicates the
functionality currently provided by the qemu_acl module.
To create an instance of this object via the QMP monitor, the syntax
used would be:
{
"execute": "object-add",
"arguments": {
"qom-type": "authz-list",
"id": "authz0",
"props": {
"rules": [
{ "match": "fred", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
{ "match": "bob", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
{ "match": "danb", "policy": "deny", "format": "glob" },
{ "match": "dan*", "policy": "allow", "format": "exact" },
],
"policy": "deny"
}
}
}
This sets up an authorization rule that allows 'fred', 'bob' and anyone
whose name starts with 'dan', except for 'danb'. Everyone unmatched is
denied.
It is not currently possible to create this via -object, since there is
no syntax supported to specify non-scalar properties for objects. This
is likely to be addressed by later support for using JSON with -object,
or an equivalent approach.
In any case the future "authz-listfile" object can be used from the
CLI and is likely a better choice, as it allows the ACL to be refreshed
automatically on change.

Via QMP this can be configured with:

On system reset, x86 ACPI, s390x and spapr will perform the unplug,

On s390x, we still get a warning

On Linux (and maybe some BSDs), we require libutil for the openpty()
function. However, this library is not available on some other systems, so
we currently use a fragile if-statement in the configure script to check
whether we need the library or not. Unfortunately, we also hard-coded a
"-lutil" in the tests/Makefile.include file, so this breaks the build on
Solaris, for example (see buglink below). To fix the issue, add the "-lutil"
to "libs_tools" in the configure script instead, then this gets properly
propagated to the tests, too.
And while we're at it, also replace the fragile if-statement in the confi-
gure script with a proper link-check for the availability of this function.

In the block layer, synchronous APIs are often implemented by creating a
coroutine that calls the asynchronous coroutine-based implementation and
then waiting for completion with BDRV_POLL_WHILE().
For this to work with iothreads (more specifically, when the synchronous
API is called in a thread that is not the home thread of the block
device, so that the coroutine will run in a different thread), we must
make sure to call aio_wait_kick() at the end of the operation. Many
places are missing this, so that BDRV_POLL_WHILE() keeps hanging even if
the condition has long become false.
Note that bdrv_dec_in_flight() involves an aio_wait_kick() call. This
corresponds to the BDRV_POLL_WHILE() in the drain functions, but it is
generally not enough for most other operations because they haven't set
the return value in the coroutine entry stub yet. To avoid race
conditions there, we need to kick after setting the return value.
The race window is small enough that the problem doesn't usually surface
in the common path. However, it does surface and causes easily
reproducible hangs if the operation can return early before even calling
bdrv_inc/dec_in_flight, which many of them do (trivial error or no-op
success paths).
The bug in bdrv_truncate(), bdrv_check() and bdrv_invalidate_cache() is
slightly different: These functions even neglected to schedule the
coroutine in the home thread of the node. This avoids the hang, but is
obviously wrong, too. Fix those to schedule the coroutine in the right
AioContext in addition to adding aio_wait_kick() calls.

The qapi_event_send_FOO() functions emit events like this:
QMPEventFuncEmit emit;
emit = qmp_event_get_func_emit();
if (!emit) {
return;
}
qmp = qmp_event_build_dict("FOO");
[put event arguments into @qmp...]
emit(QAPI_EVENT_FOO, qmp);
The value of qmp_event_get_func_emit() depends only on the program:
* In qemu-system-FOO, it's always monitor_qapi_event_queue.
* In tests/test-qmp-event, it's always event_test_emit.
* In all other programs, it's always null.
This is exactly the kind of dependence the linker is supposed to
resolve; we don't actually need an indirection.
Note that things would fall apart if we linked more than one QAPI
schema into a single program: each set of qapi_event_send_FOO() uses
its own event enumeration, yet they share a single emit function.
Which takes the event enumeration as an argument. Which one if
there's more than one?
More seriously: how does this work even now? qemu-system-FOO wants
QAPIEvent, and passes a function taking that to
qmp_event_set_func_emit(). test-qmp-event wants test_QAPIEvent, and
passes a function taking that to qmp_event_set_func_emit().
It works by type trickery, of course:
typedef void (*QMPEventFuncEmit)(unsigned event, QDict *dict);
void qmp_event_set_func_emit(QMPEventFuncEmit emit);
QMPEventFuncEmit qmp_event_get_func_emit(void);
We use unsigned instead of the enumeration type. Relies on both
enumerations boiling down to unsigned, which happens to be true for
the compilers we use.
Clean this up as follows:
* Generate qapi_event_send_FOO() that call PREFIX_qapi_event_emit()
instead of the value of qmp_event_set_func_emit().
* Generate a prototype for PREFIX_qapi_event_emit() into
qapi-events.h.
* PREFIX_ is empty for qapi/qapi-schema.json, and test_ for
tests/qapi-schema/qapi-schema-test.json. It's qga_ for
qga/qapi-schema.json, and doc-good- for
tests/qapi-schema/doc-good.json, but those don't define any events.
* Rename monitor_qapi_event_queue() to qapi_event_emit() instead of
passing it to qmp_event_set_func_emit(). This takes care of
qemu-system-FOO.
* Rename event_test_emit() to test_qapi_event_emit() instead of
passing it to qmp_event_set_func_emit(). This takes care of
tests/test-qmp-event.
* Add a qapi_event_emit() that does nothing to stubs/monitor.c. This
takes care of all other programs that link code emitting QMP events.
* Drop qmp_event_set_func_emit(), qmp_event_get_func_emit().

gtester is deprecated by upstream glib (see for example the announcement
at https://blog.gtk.org/2018/07/11/news-from-glib-2-58/) and it does
not support tests that call g_test_skip in some glib stable releases.
glib suggests instead using Automake's TAP support, which gtest itself
supports since version 2.38 (QEMU's minimum requirement is 2.40).
We do not support Automake, but we can use Automake's code to beautify
the TAP output. I chose to use the Perl copy rather than the shell/awk
one, with some changes so that it can accept TAP through stdin, in order
to reuse Perl's TAP parsing package. This also avoids duplicating the
parser between tap-driver.pl and tap-merge.pl.

There are some "#ifdef CONFIG_VIRTIO_VGA" in the code here which
do not work as expected: CONFIG_VIRTIO_VGA is a Makefile switch,
but not a CPP macro, so the "guarded" code currently simply never
gets enabled.
So enable this code now unconditionally, with some runtime switches
for the architectures that have the VIRTIO_VGA device enabled by
default. Looking at the other if-statement in the main function here,
it also seems like this test was originally supposed to be running
on "mips" and "alpha", too, so enable it now for these architectures
in the Makefile, too.

Because the CMB BAR has a min_access_size of 2, if you read the last
byte it will try to memcpy *2* bytes from n->cmbuf, causing an off-by-one
error. This is CVE-2018-16847.
Another way to fix this might be to register the CMB as a RAM memory
region, which would also be more efficient. However, that might be a
change for big-endian machines; I didn't think this through and I don't
know how real hardware works. Add a basic testcase for the CMB in case
somebody does this change later on.

Let's provide a convenient way for QEMU developers to run them,

Also, while the Avocado test runner will take care of creating a
location to save test results to, it was understood that it's better

GNU make is perfectly happy to use 'check-FOO-y += bar' to
initialize check-FOO-y. (GNU Automake strictly insists that
you cannot use += until after an initial = per variable, but
thankfully we aren't using automake).
As we have had more than one instance where copy-and-paste of
'check-FOO-y = bar' from a first test under category FOO into
an additional test, which ends up disabling the first (see
commits 992159c7 and 4429532b), it's better to just always use
the form that survives copy-and-paste, even for categories that
don't currently add more than one test.

Fixed up Makefile since the aarch patch sneaked in first
This patch adds migration test support for aarch64. The test code, which
implements the same functionality as x86, is booted as a kernel in qemu.
Here are the design choices we make for aarch64:
* We choose this -kernel approach because aarch64 QEMU doesn't provide a
built-in fw like x86 does. So instead of relying on a boot loader, we
use -kernel approach for aarch64.
* The serial output is sent to PL011 directly.
* The physical memory base for mach-virt machine is 0x40000000. We change
the start_address and end_address for aarch64.
In addition to providing the binary, this patch also includes the source
code and the build script in tests/migration/aarch64. So users can change
the source and/or re-compile the binary as they wish.

Because qtest does not support s390 channel I/O, s390 only performs smoke tests on
those few devices that do not have any functional tests. Therefore, every time we
add functional tests for a virtio device, the choice is between removing
those tests from the s390 suite (so that s390 actually _loses_ coverage)
or sprinkling the test with architecture checks.
This patch simply creates a ccw-specific test that only performs smoke tests on
all virtio-ccw devices. If channel I/O support is ever added to qtest and libqos,
then this file can go away. In the meanwhile, it simplifies maintenance and
makes sure that all virtio devices are tested.

Pre-Shared Keys (PSK) is a simpler mechanism for enabling TLS
connections than using certificates. It requires only a simple secret
key:
$ mkdir -m 0700 /tmp/keys
$ psktool -u rjones -p /tmp/keys/keys.psk
$ cat /tmp/keys/keys.psk
rjones:d543770c15ad93d76443fb56f501a31969235f47e999720ae8d2336f6a13fcbc
The key can be secretly shared between clients and servers. Clients
must specify the directory containing the "keys.psk" file and a
username (defaults to "qemu"). Servers must specify only the
directory.
Example NBD client:
$ qemu-img info \

This commit removes the PYTHON_UTF8 workaround. The problem with setting
LC_ALL= LANG=C LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8
is that the en_US.UTF-8 locale might not be available. In this case
setting above locales results in build errors even though another UTF-8
locale was originally set [1]. The only stable way of fixing the
encoding problem is by specifying the encoding in Python, like the
previous commit does.

It often happens that just a few discriminator values imply extra data in
a flat union. Existing checks did not make possible to leave other values
uncovered. Such cases had to be worked around by either stating a dummy
(empty) type or introducing another (subset) discriminator enumeration.
Both options create redundant entities in qapi files for little profit.
With this patch it is not necessary anymore to add designated union
fields for every possible value of a discriminator enumeration.

One problem with satisfying your docker dependencies in a sub-make it
you might end up trying to satisfy the dependency multiple times. This
is especially a problem with debian-sid based cross compilers and CI
setups. We solve this by doing a docker build pass at the top level
before any sub-makes are called.
We still need to satisfy dependencies in the Makefile.target call so
people can run tests from individual target directories. We introduce
a new Makefile.probe which gets called for each PROBE_TARGET and
allows us to build up the list. It does require multiply including
config-target.mak which shouldn't cause any issues as it shouldn't
define anything that clashes with config-host.mak. However we undefine
a few key variables each time around.

Add a test program for testing the CRB with the external swtpm.
The 1st test case extends a PCR and reads back the value and compares
it against an expected return packet.
The 2nd test case repeats the 1st test case and then migrates the
external swtpm's state along with the VM state to a destination
QEMU and swtpm and checks that the PCR has the expected value now.
The test cases require 'swtpm' to be installed on the system and
in the PATH and 'swtpm' must support the --tpm2 option. If this is
not the case, the test will be skipped.

Commit d4e5ec877 already fixed things to work around Python 3's
lame bug of having LC_ALL=C not be 8-bit clean, when parsing the
main QMP qapi files; but failed to do likewise in the tests
directory. As a result, running 'LC_ALL=C make check' fails on
escape-too-big and unicode-str when using python 3 with a nasty
stack trace instead of the intended graceful error message that
QAPI doesn't yet support 8-bit data (the two tests contain
Unicode é, when parsed in UTF-8; they represent something
different when parsed in a proper single-byte C locale, but that
doesn't matter to the error message printed out, provided that
brain-dead Python hasn't first choked on the input instead of
being 8-bit clean).
Ideally, we'd teach the qapi generator scripts to automatically
slurp things in using UTF-8 regardless of locale, and to honor
content that is not limited to 7 bit data rather than gracefully
erroring out; but until then, since our graceful error depends
on python parsing 8-bit data (even if nothing we generate uses
8-bit data), our quick fix is to use the right locale when
running these tests.

The ref405ep machine has a memory-mapped m48t59 device, so
we can run the m48t59 test on this machine, too.
Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
The m48t59 test has been disabled in commit baeddded5f
("sparc: disable qtest in make check"), likely due to some timing issues
in the bcd_check_time tests which might fail if it gets interrupted for
too long. It should be OK to re-enable this test if we make sure that we
do not run it on timing-sensitive machines, thus it should be OK if we only
run it in the g_test_slow() mode.
Additionally, there are two other issues:
First, the test can not run so easily on sparc64 anymore, since commit
f3b18f35a2 ("sun4u: switch m48t59 NVRAM to MMIO access")
moved the m48t59 device to the ebus instead, and for this you first
have to set up the corresponding PCI device (which is currently not
possible from within the m48t59 test). So we can only re-enable this
test on sparc, but not the sparc64 target.
Second, the fuzzing test is executed before the bcd-check-time test
(due to the naming of the tests), without having the base address set
up properly, so the fuzzing test does not really check anything at all.
Fix it by setting up the base address from the main function already
and by moving the qtest_start() to the tests themselves, so that each
test starts with a clean environment (since after the fuzzing, the clock
is unusable for the bcd-check-time test).

When the qapi schema tests fail they merely print that the expected
output didn't match the actual output. This is largely useless when
trying diagnose what went wrong. Removing the '-q' arg to diff
means that it is still silent on successful tests, but when it
fails we'll see details of the incorrect output.

tpm_crb is a device for TPM 2.0 Command Response Buffer (CRB)
Interface as defined in TCG PC Client Platform TPM Profile (PTP)
Specification Family “2.0” Level 00 Revision 01.03 v22.
The PTP allows device implementation to switch between TIS and CRB
model at run time, but given that CRB is a simpler device to
implement, I chose to implement it as a different device.
The device doesn't implement other locality than 0 for now (my laptop
TPM doesn't either, so I assume this isn't so bad)
Tested with some success with Linux upstream and Windows 10, seabios &
modified ovmf. The device is recognized and correctly transmit
command/response with passthrough & emu. However, we are missing PPI
ACPI part atm.

In various places in our test makefiles and scripts we use the
shell $RANDOM to create a random number. This is a bash
specific extension, and doesn't work on other shells.
With dash the shell doesn't complain, it just effectively
always evaluates $RANDOM to 0:
echo $((RANDOM + 32768)) => 32768
However, on NetBSD the shell will complain:
"-sh: arith: syntax error: "RANDOM + 32768"
which means that "make check" fails.
Switch to using "${RANDOM:-0}" instead of $RANDOM,
which will portably either give us a random number or zero.
This means that on non-bash shells we don't get such
good test coverage via the MALLOC_PERTURB_ setting, but
we were already in that situation for non-bash shells.
Our only other uses of $RANDOM (in tests/qemu-iotests/check
and tests/qemu-iotests/162) are in shell scripts which use
a #!/bin/bash line so they are always run under bash.

Alternates are sum types like unions, but use the JSON type on the
wire / QType in QObject instead of an explicit tag. That's why we
require alternate members to have distinct QTypes.
The recently introduced keyval_parse() (commit d454dbe) can only
produce string scalars. The qobject_input_visitor_new_keyval() input
visitor mostly hides the difference, so code using a QObject input
visitor doesn't have to care whether its input was parsed from JSON or
KEY=VALUE,... The difference leaks for alternates, as noted in commit
0ee9ae7: a non-string, non-enum scalar alternate value can't currently
be expressed.
In part, this is just our insufficiently sophisticated implementation.
Consider alternate type 'GuestFileWhence'. It has an integer member
and a 'QGASeek' member. The latter is an enumeration with values
'set', 'cur', 'end'. The meaning of b=set, b=cur, b=end, b=0, b=1 and
so forth is perfectly obvious. However, our current implementation
falls apart at run time for b=0, b=1, and so forth. Fixable, but not
today; add a test case and a TODO comment.
Now consider an alternate type with a string and an integer member.
What's the meaning of a=42? Is it the string "42" or the integer 42?
Whichever meaning you pick makes the other inexpressible. This isn't
just an implementation problem, it's fundamental. Our current
implementation will pick string.
So far, we haven't needed such alternates. To make sure we stop and
think before we add one that cannot sanely work with keyval_parse(),
let's require alternate members to have sufficiently distinct
representation in KEY=VALUE,... syntax:
* A string member clashes with any other scalar member
* An enumeration member clashes with bool members when it has value
'on' or 'off'.
* An enumeration member clashes with numeric members when it has a
value that starts with '-', '+', or a decimal digit. This is a
rather lazy approximation of the actual number syntax accepted by
the visitor.
Note that enumeration values starting with '-' and '+' are rejected
elsewhere already, but better safe than sorry.

Before commit 3313b61, this was entirely manual.
Commit 3313b61 added some automation because its qapi2texi.py relied
on #optional to determine whether a member is optional. This is no
longer the case since the previous commit: the only thing qapi2texi.py
still does with #optional is stripping it out. We still reject bogus
qapi-schema.json and six places for qga/qapi-schema.json.
Thus, you can't actually rely on #optional to see whether something is
optional. Yet we still make people add it manually. That's just
busy-work.
Drop the code to check, fix up and strip out #optional, along with all
instances of #optional. To keep it out, add code to reject it, to be
dropped again once the dust settles.

keyval_parse() parses KEY=VALUE,... into a QDict. Works like
qemu_opts_parse(), except:
* Returns a QDict instead of a QemuOpts (d'oh).
* Supports nesting, unlike QemuOpts: a KEY is split into key
fragments at '.' (dotted key convention; the block layer does
something similar on top of QemuOpts). The key fragments are QDict
keys, and the last one's value is updated to VALUE.
* Each key fragment may be up to 127 bytes long. qemu_opts_parse()
limits the entire key to 127 bytes.
* Overlong key fragments are rejected. qemu_opts_parse() silently
truncates them.
* Empty key fragments are rejected. qemu_opts_parse() happily
accepts empty keys.
* It does not store the returned value. qemu_opts_parse() stores it
in the QemuOptsList.
* It does not treat parameter "id" specially. qemu_opts_parse()
ignores all but the first "id", and fails when its value isn't
id_wellformed(), or duplicate (a QemuOpts with the same ID is
already stored). It also screws up when a value contains ",id=".
* Implied value is not supported. qemu_opts_parse() desugars "foo" to
"foo=on", and "nofoo" to "foo=off".
* An implied key's value can't be empty, and can't contain ','.
I intend to grow this into a saner replacement for QemuOpts. It'll
take time, though.
Note: keyval_parse() provides no way to do lists, and its key syntax
is incompatible with the __RFQDN_ prefix convention for downstream
extensions, because it blindly splits at '.', even in __RFQDN_. Both
issues will be addressed later in the series.

aio_co_wake provides the infrastructure to start a coroutine on a "home"
AioContext. It will be used by CoMutex and CoQueue, so that coroutines
don't jump from one context to another when they go to sleep on a
mutex or waitqueue. However, it can also be used as a more efficient
alternative to one-shot bottom halves, and saves the effort of tracking
which AioContext a coroutine is running on.
aio_co_schedule is the part of aio_co_wake that starts a coroutine
on a remove AioContext, but it is also useful to implement e.g.
bdrv_set_aio_context callbacks.
The implementation of aio_co_schedule is based on a lock-free
multiple-producer, single-consumer queue. The multiple producers use
cmpxchg to add to a LIFO stack. The consumer (a per-AioContext bottom
half) grabs all items added so far, inverts the list to make it FIFO,
and goes through it one item at a time until it's empty. The data
structure was inspired by OSv, which uses it in the very code we'll
"port" to QEMU for the thread-safe CoMutex.
Most of the new code is really tests.

that in turn doesn't need anything else. So move them out of block-obj-y

* More POWER9 instruction implementations for TCG
* The simpler parts of my CPU compatibility mode cleanup
* This changes behaviour to prefer compatibility modes over
"raW" mode for new machine type versions
* New "40p" machine type which is essentially a modernized and
cleaned up "prep". The intention is that it will replace "prep"
once it has some more testing and polish.
* Add pseries-2.9 machine type
* Implement H_SIGNAL_SYS_RESET hypercall
* Consolidate the two alternate CPU init paths in pseries by
making it always go through CPU core objects to initialize CPU
* A number of bugfixes and cleanups
* Stop the guest timebase when the guest is stopped under KVM.
This makes the guest system clock also stop when paused, which
matches the x86 behaviour.
* Some preliminary cleanups leading towards implementation of the
POWER9 MMU.
There are also some changes not strictly related to ppc code, but for
its benefit:
* Limit the pxi-expander-bridge (PXB) device to x86 guests only
(it's essentially a hack to work around historical x86
limitations)

# 1. with a list
# 2. like that
#
# And some code:
# | $ echo foo
# | -> do this
# | <- get that
#
##
Symbol description:
##
# @symbol:
#
# Symbol body ditto ergo sum. Foo bar
# baz ding.
#
# @param1: the frob to frobnicate
# @param2: #optional how hard to frobnicate
#
# Returns: the frobnicated frob.
# If frob isn't frobnicatable, GenericError.
#
# Since: version
# Notes: notes, comments can have
# - itemized list
# - like this
#
# Example:
#
# -> { "execute": "quit" }
# <- { "return": {} }
#
##
That's roughly following the following EBNF grammar:
api_comment = "##\n" comment "##\n"
comment = freeform_comment | symbol_comment
freeform_comment = { "# " text "\n" | "#\n" }
symbol_comment = "# @" name ":\n" { member | tag_section | freeform_comment }
member = "# @" name ':' [ text ] "\n" freeform_comment
tag_section = "# " ( "Returns:", "Since:", "Note:", "Notes:", "Example:", "Examples:" ) [ text ] "\n" freeform_comment
text = free text with markup
Note that the grammar is ambiguous: a line "# @foo:\n" can be parsed
both as freeform_comment and as symbol_comment. The actual parser
recognizes symbol_comment.
See docs/qapi-code-gen.txt for more details.
Deficiencies and limitations:
- the generated QMP documentation includes internal types
- union type support is lacking
- type information is lacking in generated documentation
- doc comment error message positions are imprecise, they point
to the beginning of the comment.
- a few minor issues, all marked TODO/FIXME in the code

Add some unit tests for bit count functions (currently only ctpop). As
the routines are based on the Hackers Delight optimisations I based
the test patterns on their tests.
