The function vte_terminal_set_encoding() is deprecated since VTE 0.54,
so stop calling it from that version on. This fixes a build error

Add support for OpenGL ES to egl-helpers. Wire up the new option for
egl-headless and gtk UIs. egl-headless actually works fine. gtk hits a
not-yet implemented code path in libEGL when trying to use gles mode:
libEGL warning: FIXME: egl/x11 doesn't support front buffer rendering.
(This is mesa 17.2.3).

The commit referenced below changed the logic by causing the gtk-egl
backend to be initialized regardless of whether GtkGlArea initialization
succeeded. This causes eglInitialize to crash in Wayland systems without
XWayland.
This patch restores the previous logic.

Unregistering the display change listener looks like a pointless
excercise given we'll exit in a moment. When exiting qemu via
menu/file/quit this will not happen either. Just drop the code.
Also return TRUE unconditionally. This will tell gtk to ignore the
close request, so gtk will not start destroying widgets and causing
warnings due to UI code trying to talk to widgets which are gone.
Just depend on qmp_quit() doing it's job instead.

For dma-buf support we need a egl context. The gtk x11 backend uses glx
contexts though. We can't use the GtkGlArea widget on x11 because of
that, so use our own gtk-egl code instead. wayland continues to use
the GtkGlArea widget.

The previous commit improved compile time by including less of the
generated QAPI headers. This is impossible for stuff defined directly
in qapi-schema.json, because that ends up in headers that that pull in
everything.
Move everything but include directives from qapi-schema.json to new
sub-module qapi/misc.json, then include just the "misc" shard where
possible.
It's possible everywhere, except:
* monitor.c needs qmp-command.h to get qmp_init_marshal()
* monitor.c, ui/vnc.c and the generated qapi-event-FOO.c need
qapi-event.h to get enum QAPIEvent
Perhaps we'll get rid of those some other day.
Adding a type to qapi/migration.json now recompiles some 120 instead
of 2300 out of 5100 objects.

The x_keycode_to_pc_keycode and evdev_keycode_to_pc_keycode
tables are replaced with automatically generated tables.
In addition the X11 heuristics are improved to detect running
on XQuartz and XWin X11 servers, to activate the correct OS-X
and Win32 keycode maps.

XkbGetKeyboard does not work in XWayland and even on non-Wayland
X11 servers its use is discouraged:

Commit 2cb5d2a4 removed setlocale() for everything except LC_MESSAGES in
order to avoid unwanted side effects such as using the wrong decimal
separator in generated JSON objects. However, the problem that unsetting
LC_CTYPE caused is that non-ASCII characters are considered
non-printable now and therefore the GTK menus display question marks for
accented letters, Chinese characters etc.
A first attempt to fix this [1] was rejected because even just setting
LC_CTYPE to the user's locale (and thereby modifying the semantics of
the ctype.h functions) could have unwanted effects that we're not aware
of yet.
Recently, however, glibc introduced a new locale "C.utf-8" that just
uses UTF-8 as its charset, but otherwise leaves the semantics alone.
Just setting the right character set is enough for our use case, so we
can just hardcode this one without having to be afraid of nasty side
effects.
Older systems that don't have the new locale will continue displaying
question marks, but this should fix the problem for most users.

The class kind is necessary to lookup the chardev name in
qmp_chardev_add() after calling qemu_chr_new_from_opts() and to set
the appropriate ChardevBackend (mainly to free the right
fields).
qemu_chr_new_from_opts() can be changed to use a non-qmp function
using the chardev class typename. Introduce qemu_chardev_add() to be
called from qemu_chr_new_from_opts() and remove the class chardev kind
field. Set the backend->type in the parse callback (when non-common
fields are added).

qemu_chr_new_from_opts() is modified to not need CharDriver backend[]
array, but uses instead objectified qmp_query_chardev_backends() and
char_get_class(). The alias field is moved outside in a ChardevAlias[],
similar to QDevAlias for devices.

callback activities.

On 3.4.0 or later, send GDK_SCROLL_SMOOTH event, instead of

Turn Chardev into Object.
qemu_chr_alloc() is replaced by the qemu_chardev_new() constructor. It
will call qemu_char_open() to open/intialize the chardev with the
ChardevCommon *backend settings.
The CharDriver::create() callback is turned into a ChardevClass::open()
which is called from the newly introduced qemu_chardev_open().
"chardev-gdb" and "chardev-hci" are internal chardev and aren't
creatable directly with -chardev. Use a new internal flag to disable
them. We may want to use TYPE_USER_CREATABLE interface instead, or
perhaps allow -chardev usage.
Although in general we keep typename and macros private, unless the type
is being used by some other file, in this patch, all types and common
helper macros for qemu-char.c are in char.h. This is to help transition
now (some types must be declared early, while some aren't shared) and
when splitting in several units. This is to be improved later.

Use a single allocation for CharDriverState, this avoids extra
allocations & pointers, and is a step towards more object-oriented
CharDriver.
Gtk console is a bit peculiar, gd_vc_chr_set_echo() used to have a
temporary VirtualConsole to save the echo bit. Instead now, we consider
whether vcd->console is set or not, and restore the echo bit saved in
VCDriverState when calling gd_vc_vte_init().
The casts added are temporary, they are replaced with QOM type-safe
macros in a later patch in this series.

The "Copy" menu item copies VTE terminal text to the clipboard. This
only works with VTE terminals, not with graphics consoles.
Disable the menu item when the current notebook page isn't a VTE
terminal.
This patch fixes a segfault. Reproducer: Start QEMU and click the Copy
menu item when the guest display is visible.

GDK_KEY_Delete is only defined with gtk version 2.22 and newer,
on older versions this key was called GDK_Delete instead.
Since this is the case for all GDK_KEY_* defines, change the
already existing preprocessor check there to test for version 2.22,
so we know that we can remove this code block in case we require
that version as a minimum one day.

GTK generates key events for the delete key with key->string[0] = 0x7f
... but this does not work right with the readline_handle_byte()
function in util/readline.c, since this treats the keycode 127 as
backspace. So let's add a special case for the GTK delete key to make
this key behave right in the monitor interface of the GTK ui.

When gtk_widget_style_get() is used to get the "inner-border" style
property, it returns a copy of the GtkBorder which must be freed by
the caller.
This patch also fixes a warning about the unused 'padding' structure
with VTE 0.36.

Only the echo field is used in the temporary VirtualConsole, so the
damage was limited. But still, if echo was incorrectly set to true,
the result would be some puzzling output in VTE monitor and serial
consoles.

The gd_vc_handler() callback is using g_malloc0() to
allocate the CharDriverState struct. As a result the
logfd field is getting initialized to 0, instead of
-1 when no logfile is requested.
The result is that when running
$ qemu-system-i386 -nodefaults -chardev vc,id=mon0 -mon chardev=mon0
qemu duplicates all monitor output to stdout as well
as the GTK window.
Not using qemu_chr_alloc() was already a bug, but harmless
until this commit

Even without line editing, this makes -qmp vc more pleasant with the
GTK+ backend. The only issue is that set_echo is invoked very early,
long before a vc is actually associated with a VirtualConsole. To work
around this, create a temporary VirtualConsole until then.

When munging enum values, the fact that we were passing the entire
prefix + value through camel_to_upper() meant that enum values
spelled with CamelCase could be turned into CAMEL_CASE. However,
this provides a potential collision (both OneTwo and One-Two would
munge into ONE_TWO) for enum types, when the same two names are
valid side-by-side as QAPI member names. By changing the generation
of enum constants to always be prefix + '_' + c_name(value,
False).upper(), and ensuring that there are no case collisions (in
the next patches), we no longer have to worry about names that
would be distinct as QAPI members but collide as variant tag names,
without having to think about what munging the heuristics in
camel_to_upper() will actually perform on an enum value.
Making the change will affect enums that did not follow coding
conventions, using 'CamelCase' rather than desired 'lower-case'.
Thankfully, there are only two culprits: InputButton and ErrorClass.
We already tweaked ErrorClass to make it an alias of QapiErrorClass,
where only the alias needs changing rather than the whole tree. So
the bulk of this change is modifying INPUT_BUTTON_WHEEL_UP to the
new INPUT_BUTTON_WHEELUP (and likewise for WHEELDOWN). That part
of this commit may later need reverting if we rename the enum
constants from 'WheelUp' to 'wheel-up' as part of moving
x-input-send-event to a stable interface; but at least we have
documentation bread crumbs in place to remind us (commit 513e7cd),
and it matches the fact that SDL constants are also spelled
SDL_BUTTON_WHEELUP.

The QEMU code is not internationalized and assumes that it runs under
the C locale, but if we use the GTK+ UI we'll end up importing the
locale settings from the environment. This can break things, such as
the JSON generator and iotest 120 in locales that use a decimal comma.
We do however have translations for a few simple strings for the GTK+
menu items, so in order to run QEMU using the C locale, and yet have a
translated UI let's use setlocale() for LC_MESSAGES only.

Kick off all grabbing logic from fullscreen mode. In the current state
it seems to create more problems than it solves. Try running qemu/gtk
fullscreen on one head of a multihead host for example ...
There probably was a reason the grab-on-fullscreen logic was added in
the first place. So please test and report any issues so we can try to
find a sane way to handle it.

This adds opengl rendering support to the gtk ui, using egl.
It's off by default for now, use 'qemu -display gtk,gl=on'
to play with this.
Note that gtk got native opengl support with release 3.16.
There most likely will be a separate implementation for 3.16+,
using the native gtk opengl support. This patch covers older
versions (and for the time being 3.16 too, hopefully without
rendering quirks).

Without that the next mouse motion event uses the old position
as base for relative move calculation, giving wrong results and
making your mouse pointer jump around.

GTK2 sends the accel key to the guest when switching to the graphic
console via that shortcut. Resolve this by ignoring any keys until the
next key-release event. However, do not ignore keys when switching via
the menu or when on GTK3.

At least on GTK2, the VTE terminal has to be specified as target of
gtk_widget_grab_focus. Otherwise, switching from one VTE terminal to
another causes the focus to get lost.

In fullscreen mode, we attempt to shrink the menubar to 1 pixel in height,
so it takes up as little room as possible while still allowing us to use
the keyboard shortcuts for its various operations.
However this shrinking is disregarded on gtk3, so the entire menu bar is
visible, which isn't very pleasant. This patch hides the menu bar instead.
The side effect is that the only keyboard shortcuts that will work in this
mode are the ones that we explicitly register on the top level window and
not the menu bar. The previous patches changed the fullscreen and vc
shortcuts to work like that, which I think are the only ones that really
matter in for the fullscreen case.

Instead of installing it on the menu. This will be needed to keep the
fullscreen keyboard shortcut working when we hide the menu (in future
patches).
On gtk < 3.8, this has the unfortunate side effect of no longer listing
the key combo in the UI. We could manually change the label in that case,
but it will look visually out of place, and I'm not sure if anyone really
cares.

In the GTK UI, after changing focus to the qemu monitor Notebook Page,
when restoring focus to the virtual machine page, the keyboard focus is lost
to a hidden GTK widget. Focus can only be restored to the virtual machine by
pressing "tab" or any of the four directional arrow keys.
Clicking in the window or grabbing/ungrabbing input does not restore keyboard
focus to the child widget.
This patch adjusts the Notebook page switching callback to automatically
steal keyboard focus on the Page switch event, so that keyboard input
does not appear to break or disappear after tabbing to the QEMU monitor.

Make configure detect gtk x11 backend and link libX11 then. Make
gtk backend specific code properly #ifdef'ed on the GTK_WINDOWING_*
backends at runtime). Our gtk ui code should build and run fine on
any platform now.
This also fixes the linker failute due to the new XkbGetKeyboard call
added by commit 3158a3482b.

Major overhaul for window size handling. This basically switches qemu
over to use geometry hints for the window manager instead of trying to
get the job done with widget resize requests. This allows to specify
better what we need and also avoids window resizes.
FIXME: on gtk2 someone overwrites the geometry hints :(

Currently only evdev keycodes are handled by the gtk-ui. SDL has
code to handle both. This patch adds similar processing so that
both keycode types will be handled via the gtk-ui.

"View->Detach tab" will move to tab to a new window.
Simply closing the window will move it back into a notebook tab.
The label will be permamently stored in VirtualConsole->label,
so it can easily be reused to (re-)label tabs and windows.
Works for vte tabs only for now. pointer/kbd grab code needs
adaptions before we can enable it for gfx tabs too.

Simply ask for a small window size. When the widgets don't fit in gtk
will automatically make the window large enougth to make things fit, no
need to try (and fail) duplicate that logic in qemu.

Each display gets its own tab. Tab switching continues to work like it
did, just the hotkeys of the vte consoles changes in case a secondary
display is present as it will get ctrl-alt-2 assigned and the vtes are
shifted by one.

The vte tabs simply get the size of the vga tab then, with whatever
cols and lines are fitting in. I find this bahavior more useful than
resizing the qemu window all day long.

When keyboard focus is grabbed, current qemu wants to pass every
keypress to the VM, unless the user is pressing a UI accelerator.
That's exactly how things work without any of the fancy handling. Drop
the special handling, which seems to trigger accelerators twice on gtk3.

Try kicking off a rhel5 text install over serial, the text menu navigation
is all messed up, and some of the kernel boot messages are randomly
corrupted.
Drop use of a pty and just use vte infrastructure for reading and writing.
This fixes the above corruption, and is simpler to boot.
(I don't know what was wrong with the original code though. FWIW this is
what virt-manager has done for years).

In these cases we weren't using an image in the menu item anyways, so
just do as the suggestion says. Should be fine for all qemu supported
gtk versions.

This patch changes the behavior in the relative mode to be compatible
with other UIs, namely, grabbing the input at the first left click.
It improves the usability a lot; otherwise you have to press ctl-alt-G
or select from menu at each time you want to move the pointer. Also,
the input grab is cleared when the current mode is switched to the
absolute mode.
The automatic reset of the implicit grabbing is needed since the
switching to the absolute mode happens always after the click even on
Gtk. That is, we cannot check whether the absolute mode is already
available at the first click time even though it should have been
switched in X11 input driver side.

It's pretty annoying that the pointer reappears at a random place once
after grabbing and ungrabbing the input. Better to restore to the
original position where the pointer was grabbed.

The relative pointer tracking mode was still buggy even after the
previous fix of the motion-notify-event since the events are filtered
out when the pointer moves outside the drawing window due to the
boundary check for the absolute mode.
This patch fixes the issue by moving the unnecessary boundary check
into the if block of absolute mode, and keep the coordinate in the
relative mode even if it's outside the drawing area. But this makes
the coordinate (last_x, last_y) possibly pointing to (-1,-1),
introduce a new flag to indicate the last coordinate has been
updated.

The GDK motion-notify-event isn't generated when the pointer goes out
of the target window even if the pointer is grabbed, which essentially
means to lose the pointer tracking in gtk-ui.
Meanwhile the generic "event" signal is sent when the pointer is
grabbed, so we can use this and pick the motion notify events manually
there instead.

GTK without VTE is needed for hosts which don't support VTE (for example
all variants of MinGW), but it can also be reasonable for other hosts.

We were using the wrong coordinates, this fixes things to match the
original gtk2 implementation.
You can see this error in action by using -vga qxl, however even after this
patch the mouse warps in small increments up and to the left, -7x and -3y
pixels at a time, until the pointer is warped off the widget. I think it's
a qxl bug, but the next patch covers it up.
