b49f4755c7 block: remove AioContext locking
This is the big patch that removes
aio_context_acquire()/aio_context_release() from the block layer and
affected block layer users.

There isn't a clean way to split this patch and the reviewers are likely
the same group of people, so I decided to do it in one patch.

02f95e91a6 block: Clean up includes
This commit was created with scripts/clean-includes.

All .c should include qemu/osdep.h first.  The script performs three
related cleanups:

* Ensure .c files include qemu/osdep.h first.
* Including it in a .h is redundant, since the .c  already includes
  it.  Drop such inclusions.
* Likewise, including headers qemu/osdep.h includes is redundant.
  Drop these, too.

Notably, the way the keys are named is specific for image files: The
filename is shown under "image", the BDS driver under "file format", and
the BDS length under "virtual size".  This does not make much sense for
nodes that are not actually supposed to be guest images, like the /file
child node shown above.

Give bdrv_node_info_dump() a @protocol parameter that gives a hint that
the respective node is probably just used for data storage and does not
necessarily present the data for a VM guest disk.  This renames the keys
so that with this patch, the output becomes:

image: test.qcow2
[...]
Child node '/file':
    filename: test.qcow2
    protocol type: file
    file length: 192 KiB (197120 bytes)

(Perhaps we should also rename "Format specific information", but I
could not come up with anything better that will not become problematic
if we guess wrong with the protocol "heuristic".)

This change affects iotest 302, which has protocol node information in
its reference output.

6cab33997b block/qapi: Introduce BlockGraphInfo
Introduce a new QAPI type BlockGraphInfo and an associated
bdrv_query_block_graph_info() function that recursively gathers
BlockNodeInfo objects through a block graph.

A follow-up patch is going to make "qemu-img info" use this to print
information about all nodes that are (usually implicitly) opened for a
given image file.

5d8813593f block/qapi: Let bdrv_query_image_info() recurse
There is no real reason why bdrv_query_image_info() should generally not
recurse.  The ImageInfo struct has a pointer to the backing image, so it
should generally be filled, unless the caller explicitly opts out.

This moves the recursing code from bdrv_block_device_info() into
bdrv_query_image_info().

b1f4cd1589 qemu-img: Use BlockNodeInfo
qemu-img info never uses ImageInfo's backing-image field, because it
opens the backing chain one by one with BDRV_O_NO_BACKING, and prints
all backing chain nodes' information consecutively.  Use BlockNodeInfo
to make it clear that we only print information about a single node, and
that we are not using the backing-image field.

Notably, bdrv_image_info_dump() does not evaluate the backing-image
field, so we can easily make it take a BlockNodeInfo pointer (and
consequentially rename it to bdrv_node_info_dump()).  It makes more
sense this way, because again, the interface now makes it syntactically
clear that backing-image is ignored by this function.

a2085f8909 block: Split BlockNodeInfo off of ImageInfo
ImageInfo sometimes contains flat information, and sometimes it does
not.  Split off a BlockNodeInfo struct, which only contains information
about a single node and has no link to the backing image.

We do this so we can extend BlockNodeInfo to a BlockGraphInfo struct,
which has links to all child nodes, not just the backing node.  It would
be strange to base BlockGraphInfo on ImageInfo, because then this
extended struct would have two links to the backing node (one in
BlockGraphInfo as one of all the child links, and one in ImageInfo).

Furthermore, it is quite common to ignore the backing-image field
altogether: bdrv_query_image_info() does not set it, and
bdrv_image_info_dump() does not evaluate it.  That signals that we
should have different structs for describing a single node and one that
has a link to the backing image.

Still, bdrv_query_image_info() and bdrv_image_info_dump() are not
changed too much in this patch.  Follow-up patches will handle them.

3716470b24 block: Improve empty format-specific info dump
When a block driver supports obtaining format-specific information, but
that object only contains optional fields, it is possible that none of
them are present, so that dump_qobject() (called by
bdrv_image_info_specific_dump()) will not print anything.

The callers of bdrv_image_info_specific_dump() put a header above this
information ("Format specific information:\n"), which will look strange
when there is nothing below.  Modify bdrv_image_info_specific_dump() to
print this header instead of its callers, and only if there is indeed
something to be printed.

I believe these go back to Emanuele's reorganization of the block API,
merged a few months ago in commit d7e2fe4aac.

Fortunately, breaking them is merely a matter of deleting unnecessary
includes from headers, and adding them back in places where they are
now missing.

54fde4ff06 qapi block: Elide redundant has_FOO in generated C
The has_FOO for pointer-valued FOO are redundant, except for arrays.
They are also a nuisance to work with.  Recent commit "qapi: Start to
elide redundant has_FOO in generated C" provided the means to elide
them step by step.  This is the step for qapi/block*.json.

Said commit explains the transformation in more detail.

There is one instance of the invariant violation mentioned there:
qcow2_signal_corruption() passes false, "" when node_name is an empty
string.  Take care to pass NULL then.

The previous two commits cleaned up two more.

Additionally, helper bdrv_latency_histogram_stats() loses its output
parameters and returns a value instead.

The GDateTime APIs provided by GLib avoid portability pitfalls, such
as some platforms where 'struct timeval.tv_sec' field is still 'long'
instead of 'time_t'. When combined with automatic cleanup, GDateTime
often results in simpler code too.

307261b243 block: consistently use bdrv_is_read_only()
It's better to use accessor function instead of bs->read_only directly.
In some places use bdrv_is_writable() instead of
checking both BDRV_O_RDWR set and BDRV_O_INACTIVE not set.

In bdrv_open_common() it's a bit strange to add one more variable, but
we are going to drop bs->read_only in the next patch, so new ro local
variable substitutes it here.

26513a0174 block: Fix VM size column width in bdrv_snapshot_dump()
size_to_str() can return a size like "4.24 MiB", with a single digit
integer part and two fractional digits. This is eight characters, but
commit b39847a5 changed the format string to only reserve seven
characters for the column.

This can result in unaligned columns, which in turn changes the output of
iotests case 267 because exceeding the column size defeats the attempt
to filter the size out of the output (observed with the ppc64 emulator).
The resulting change is only a whitespace change, but since commit
f203080b this is enough for iotests to consider the test failed.

Taking a character away from the tag name column and adding it to the VM
size column doesn't change anything in the common case (the tag name is
left justified, the VM size is right justified), but fixes this case.

54aa3de72e qapi: Use QAPI_LIST_PREPEND() where possible
Anywhere we create a list of just one item or by prepending items
(typically because order doesn't matter), we can use
QAPI_LIST_PREPEND().  But places where we must keep the list in order
by appending remain open-coded until later patches.

Note that as a side effect, this also performs a cleanup of two minor
issues in qga/commands-posix.c: the old code was performing
 new = g_malloc0(sizeof(*ret));
which 1) is confusing because you have to verify whether 'new' and
'ret' are variables with the same type, and 2) would conflict with C++
compilation (not an actual problem for this file, but makes
copy-and-paste harder).

b39847a505 migration: introduce icount field for snapshots
Saving icount as a parameters of the snapshot allows navigation between
them in the execution replay scenario.
This information can be used for finding a specific snapshot for proceeding
the recorded execution to the specific moment of the time.
E.g., 'reverse step' action (introduced in one of the following patches)
needs to load the nearest snapshot which is prior to the current moment
of time.
This patch also updates snapshot test which verifies qemu monitor output.

0b877d09df block: Leave BDS.backing_{file,format} constant
Parts of the block layer treat BDS.backing_file as if it were whatever
the image header says (i.e., if it is a relative path, it is relative to
the overlay), other parts treat it like a cache for
bs->backing->bs->filename (relative paths are relative to the CWD).
Considering bs->backing->bs->filename exists, let us make it mean the
former.

Among other things, this now allows the user to specify a base when
using qemu-img to commit an image file in a directory that is not the
CWD (assuming, everything uses relative filenames).

Before this patch:

With this change, bdrv_find_backing_image() must look at whether the
user has overridden a BDS's backing file.  If so, it can no longer use
bs->backing_file, but must instead compare the given filename against
the backing node's filename directly.

Note that this changes the QAPI output for a node's backing_file.  We
had very inconsistent output there (sometimes what the image header
said, sometimes the actual filename of the backing image).  This
inconsistent output was effectively useless, so we have to decide one
way or the other.  Considering that bs->backing_file usually at runtime
contained the path to the image relative to qemu's CWD (or absolute),
this patch changes QAPI's backing_file to always report the
bs->backing->bs->filename from now on.  If you want to receive the image
header information, you have to refer to full-backing-filename.

This necessitates a change to iotest 228.  The interesting information
it really wanted is the image header, and it can get that now, but it
has to use full-backing-filename instead of backing_file.  Because of
this patch's changes to bs->backing_file's behavior, we also need some
reference output changes.

Along with the changes to bs->backing_file, stop updating
BDS.backing_format in bdrv_backing_attach() as well.  This way,
ImageInfo's backing-filename and backing-filename-format fields will
represent what the image header says and nothing else.

iotest 245 changes in behavior: With the backing node no longer
overriding the parent node's backing_file string, you can now omit the
@backing option when reopening a node with neither a default nor a
current backing file even if it used to have a backing node at some
point.

273 also changes: The base image is opened without a format layer, so
ImageInfo.backing-filename-format used to report "file" for the base
image's overlay after blockdev-snapshot.  However, the image header
never says "file" anywhere, so it now reports $IMGFMT.

0a7585dbba block: Use child access functions for QAPI queries
query-block, query-named-block-nodes, and query-blockstats now return
any filtered child under "backing", not just bs->backing or COW
children.  This is so that filters do not interrupt the reported backing
chain.  This changes the output for iotest 184, as the throttled node
now appears as a backing child.

8b8277cdb0 block: Drop bdrv_is_encrypted()
The original purpose of bdrv_is_encrypted() was to inquire whether a BDS
can be used without the user entering a password or not.  It has not
been used for that purpose for quite some time.

Actually, it is not even fit for that purpose, because to answer that
question, it would have recursively query all of the given node's
children.

So now we have to decide in which direction we want to fix
bdrv_is_encrypted(): Recursively query all children, or drop it and just
use bs->encrypted to get the current node's status?

Nowadays, its only purpose is to report through bdrv_query_image_info()
whether the given image is encrypted or not.  For this purpose, it is
probably more interesting to see whether a given node itself is
encrypted or not (otherwise, a management application cannot discern for
certain which nodes are really encrypted and which just have encrypted
children).

804359b8b9 block: Fix VM size field width in snapshot dump
When printing the snapshot list (e.g. with qemu-img snapshot -l), the VM
size field is only seven characters wide.  As of de38b5005e, this is
not necessarily sufficient: We generally print three digits, and this
may require a decimal point.  Also, the unit field grew from something
as plain as "M" to " MiB".  This means that number and unit may take up
eight characters in total; but we also want spaces in front.

Considering previously the maximum width was four characters and the
field width was chosen to be three characters wider, let us adjust the
field width to be eleven now.

de38b5005e qemu-img: Saner printing of large file sizes
Disk sizes close to INT64_MAX cause overflow, for some pretty
ridiculous output:

  $ ./nbdkit -U - memory size=$((2**63 - 512)) --run 'qemu-img info $nbd'
  image: nbd+unix://?socket=/tmp/nbdkitHSAzNz/socket
  file format: raw
  virtual size: -8388607T (9223372036854775296 bytes)
  disk size: unavailable

But there's no reason to have two separate implementations of integer
to human-readable abbreviation, where one has overflow and stops at
'T', while the other avoids overflow and goes all the way to 'E'. With
this patch, the output now claims 8EiB instead of -8388607T, which
really is the correct rounding of largest file size supported by qemu
(we could go 511 bytes larger if we used byte-accurate sizing instead
of rounding up to the next sector boundary, but that wouldn't change
the human-readable result).

Quite a few iotests need updates to expected output to match.

e1ce7d747b block/qapi: Clean up how we print to monitor or stdout
bdrv_snapshot_dump(), bdrv_image_info_specific_dump(),
bdrv_image_info_dump() and their helpers take an fprintf()-like
callback and a FILE * to pass to it.

hmp.c passes monitor_printf() cast to fprintf_function and the current
monitor cast to FILE *.

qemu-img.c and qemu-io-cmds.c pass fprintf and stdout.

The type-punning is technically undefined behaviour, but works in
practice.  Clean up: drop the callback, and call qemu_printf()
instead.

f30c66ba6e block: Use bdrv_refresh_filename() to pull
Before this patch, bdrv_refresh_filename() is used in a pushing manner:
Whenever the BDS graph is modified, the parents of the modified edges
are supposed to be updated (recursively upwards).  However, that is
nonviable, considering that we want child changes not to concern
parents.

Also, in the long run we want a pull model anyway: Here, we would have a
bdrv_filename() function which returns a BDS's filename, freshly
constructed.

This patch is an intermediate step.  It adds bdrv_refresh_filename()
calls before every place a BDS.filename value is used.  The only
exceptions are protocol drivers that use their own filename, which
clearly would not profit from refreshing that filename before.

Also, bdrv_get_encrypted_filename() is removed along the way (as a user
of BDS.filename), since it is completely unused.

In turn, all of the calls to bdrv_refresh_filename() before this patch
are removed, because we no longer have to call this function on graph
changes.

cb3e7f08ae qobject: Replace qobject_incref/QINCREF qobject_decref/QDECREF
Now that we can safely call QOBJECT() on QObject * as well as its
subtypes, we can have macros qobject_ref() / qobject_unref() that work
everywhere instead of having to use QINCREF() / QDECREF() for QObject
and qobject_incref() / qobject_decref() for its subtypes.

The replacement is mechanical, except I broke a long line, and added a
cast in monitor_qmp_cleanup_req_queue_locked().  Unlike
qobject_decref(), qobject_unref() doesn't accept void *.

Note that the new macros evaluate their argument exactly once, thus no
need to shout them.

9af2398977 Include less of the generated modular QAPI headers
In my "build everything" tree, a change to the types in
qapi-schema.json triggers a recompile of about 4800 out of 5100
objects.

The previous commit split up qmp-commands.h, qmp-event.h, qmp-visit.h,
qapi-types.h.  Each of these headers still includes all its shards.
Reduce compile time by including just the shards we actually need.

To illustrate the benefits: adding a type to qapi/migration.json now
recompiles some 2300 instead of 4800 objects.  The next commit will
improve it further.
