51e47cf860 build: move COLO under CONFIG_REPLICATION
We don't allow to use x-colo capability when replication is not
configured. So, no reason to build COLO when replication is disabled,
it's unusable in this case.

Note also that the check in migrate_caps_check() is not the only
restriction: some functions in migration/colo.c will just abort if
called with not defined CONFIG_REPLICATION, for example:

    migration_iteration_finish()
       case MIGRATION_STATUS_COLO:
           migrate_start_colo_process()
               colo_process_checkpoint()
                   abort()

It could probably make sense to have possibility to enable COLO without
REPLICATION, but this requires deeper audit of colo & replication code,
which may be done later if needed.

Reflow paragraphs to 70 columns width, and consistently use two spaces

To check the generated documentation does not change, I compared the

56266c6d1e qapi: Tidy up a slightly awkward TODO comment
MigrateSetParameters has a TODO comment sitting right behind its doc

reason is not obvious.

The previous commit (sphinx/qapidoc: Do not emit TODO sections into

ce5b0f4afc migration: Add postcopy-preempt capability
Firstly, postcopy already preempts precopy due to the fact that we do
unqueue_page() first before looking into dirty bits.

However that's not enough, e.g., when there're host huge page enabled, when
sending a precopy huge page, a postcopy request needs to wait until the whole
huge page that is sending to finish. That could introduce quite some delay,
the bigger the huge page is the larger delay it'll bring.

This patch adds a new capability to allow postcopy requests to preempt existing
precopy page during sending a huge page, so that postcopy requests can be
serviced even faster.

Meanwhile to send it even faster, bypass the precopy stream by providing a
standalone postcopy socket for sending requested pages.

Since the new behavior will not be compatible with the old behavior, this will
not be the default, it's enabled only when the new capability is set on both
src/dst QEMUs.

This patch only adds the capability itself, the logic will be added in follow
up patches.

f3b2e38cfb softmmu/dirtylimit: Implement dirty page rate limit
Implement dirtyrate calculation periodically basing on
dirty-ring and throttle virtual CPU until it reachs the quota
dirty page rate given by user.

Introduce qmp commands "set-vcpu-dirty-limit",
"cancel-vcpu-dirty-limit", "query-vcpu-dirty-limit"
to enable, disable, query dirty page limit for virtual CPU.

Meanwhile, introduce corresponding hmp commands
"set_vcpu_dirty_limit", "cancel_vcpu_dirty_limit",
"info vcpu_dirty_limit" so the feature can be more usable.

"query-vcpu-dirty-limit" success depends on enabling dirty
page rate limit, so just add it to the list of skipped
command to ensure qmp-cmd-test run successfully.

1abaec9a1b migration: Change zero_copy_send from migration parameter to migration capability
When originally implemented, zero_copy_send was designed as a Migration
paramenter.

But taking into account how is that supposed to work, and how
the difference between a capability and a parameter, it only makes sense
that zero-copy-send would work better as a capability.

Taking into account how recently the change got merged, it was decided
that it's still time to make it right, and convert zero_copy_send into
a Migration capability.

cbde7be900 migrate: remove QMP/HMP commands for speed, downtime and cache size
The generic 'migrate_set_parameters' command handle all types of param.

Only the QMP commands were documented in the deprecations page, but the
rationale for deprecating applies equally to HMP, and the replacements
exist. Furthermore the HMP commands are just shims to the QMP commands,
so removing the latter breaks the former unless they get re-implemented.

6e9f21a2aa migration: dirty-bitmap: Allow control of bitmap persistence
Bitmap's source persistence is transported over the migration stream and
the destination mirrors it. In some cases the destination might want to
persist bitmaps which are not persistent on the source (e.g. the result
of merging bitmaps from a number of layers on the source when migrating
into a squashed image) but currently it would need to create another set
of persistent bitmaps and merge them.

This patch adds a 'transform' property to the alias map which allows
overriding the persistence of migrated bitmaps both on the source and
destination sides.

0f0d83a456 migration: introduce snapshot-{save, load, delete} QMP commands
savevm, loadvm and delvm are some of the few HMP commands that have never
been converted to use QMP. The reasons for the lack of conversion are
that they blocked execution of the event thread, and the semantics
around choice of disks were ill-defined.

Despite this downside, however, libvirt and applications using libvirt
have used these commands for as long as QMP has existed, via the
"human-monitor-command" passthrough command. IOW, while it is clearly
desirable to be able to fix the problems, they are not a blocker to
all real world usage.

Meanwhile there is a need for other features which involve adding new
parameters to the commands. This is possible with HMP passthrough, but
it provides no reliable way for apps to introspect features, so using
QAPI modelling is highly desirable.

This patch thus introduces new snapshot-{load,save,delete} commands to
QMP that are intended to replace the old HMP counterparts. The new
commands are given different names, because they will be using the new
QEMU job framework and thus will have diverging behaviour from the HMP
originals. It would thus be misleading to keep the same name.

While this design uses the generic job framework, the current impl is
still blocking. The intention that the blocking problem is fixed later.
None the less applications using these new commands should assume that
they are asynchronous and thus wait for the job status change event to
indicate completion.

In addition to using the job framework, the new commands require the
caller to be explicit about all the block device nodes used in the
snapshot operations, with no built-in default heuristics in use.

Note that the existing "query-named-block-nodes" can be used to query
what snapshots currently exist for block nodes.

ec17de0ac0 migration: Fix migrate-set-parameters argument validation
Commit 741d4086c8 "migration: Use proper types in json" (v2.12.0)
switched MigrationParameters to narrower integer types, and removed
the simplified qmp_migrate_set_parameters()'s argument checking
accordingly.

Good idea, except qmp_migrate_set_parameters() takes
MigrateSetParameters, not MigrationParameters. Its job is updating
migrate_get_current()->parameters (which *is* of type
MigrationParameters) according to its argument. The integers now get
truncated silently.  Reproducer:

    ---> {'execute': 'query-migrate-parameters'}
    <--- {"return": {[...] "compress-threads": 8, [...]}}
    ---> {"execute": "migrate-set-parameters", "arguments": {"compress-threads": 257}}
    <--- {"return": {}}
    ---> {'execute': 'query-migrate-parameters'}
    <--- {"return": {[...] "compress-threads": 1, [...]}}

Fix by resynchronizing MigrateSetParameters with MigrationParameters.
