95059f9c31 include/exec: Change reserved_va semantics to last byte
Change the semantics to be the last byte of the guest va, rather

95fc5ed4a8 linux-user: move target_flat.h to target subdirs
This makes target_flat.h behave like every other target_xxx.h header.
It also makes it actually work -- while the current header says adding
a header to the target subdir overrides the common one, it doesn't.
This is for two reasons:
* meson.build adds -Ilinux-user before -Ilinux-user/$arch
* the compiler search path for "target_flat.h" looks in the same dir
as the source file before searching -I paths.

This can be seen with the xtensa port -- the subdir settings aren't
used which breaks stack setup.

Move it to the generic/ subdir and add include stubs like every
other target_xxx.h header is handled.

Replace a config-time define with a compile time condition
define (compatible with clang and gcc) that must be declared prior to

prevents from bad usage, if the config header wasn't included before.

This can help to make some code independent from qemu too.

gcc supports __BYTE_ORDER__ from about 4.6 and clang from 3.2.

babe6d5c88 linux-user/arm: Use force_sig() to deliver fpa11 emulation SIGFPE
In the Arm target code, when the fpa11 emulation code tells us we
need to send the guest a SIGFPE, we do this with queue_signal(), but
we are using the wrong si_type, and we aren't setting the _sifields
union members corresponding to either the si_type we are using or the
si_type we should be using.

As the existing comment notes, the kernel code for this calls the old
send_sig() function to deliver the signal. This eventually results
in the kernel's signal handling code fabricating a siginfo_t with a
SI_KERNEL code and a zero pid and uid. For QEMU this means we need
to use QEMU_SI_KILL. We already have a function for that:
force_sig() sets up the whole target_siginfo_t the way we need it.

e784807cd2 target/arm: Do hflags rebuild in cpsr_write()
Currently we rely on all the callsites of cpsr_write() to rebuild the
cached hflags if they change one of the CPSR bits which we use as a
TB flag and cache in hflags. This is a bit awkward when we want to
change the set of CPSR bits that we cache, because it means we need
to re-audit all the cpsr_write() callsites to see which flags they
are writing and whether they now need to rebuild the hflags.

Switch instead to making cpsr_write() call arm_rebuild_hflags()
itself if one of the bits being changed is a cached bit.

We don't do the rebuild for the CPSRWriteRaw write type, because that
kind of write is generally doing something special anyway. For the
CPSRWriteRaw callsites in the KVM code and inbound migration we
definitely don't want to recalculate the hflags; the callsites in
boot.c and arm-powerctl.c have to do a rebuild-hflags call themselves
anyway because of other CPU state changes they make.

This allows us to drop explicit arm_rebuild_hflags() calls in a
couple of places where the only reason we needed to call it was the
CPSR write.

This fixes a bug where we were incorrectly failing to rebuild hflags
in the code path for a gdbstub write to CPSR, which meant that you
could make QEMU assert by breaking into a running guest, altering the
CPSR to change the value of, for example, CPSR.E, and then
continuing.

56b5170c87 semihosting: Move ARM semihosting code to shared directories
This commit renames two files which provide ARM semihosting support so
that they can be shared by other architectures:

 1. target/arm/arm-semi.c     -> hw/semihosting/common-semi.c
 2. linux-user/arm/semihost.c -> linux-user/semihost.c

The build system was modified use a new config variable,
CONFIG_ARM_COMPATIBLE_SEMIHOSTING, which has been added to the ARM
softmmu and linux-user default configs. The contents of the source
files has not been changed in this patch.

acebed948c linux-user/arm: Deliver SIGTRAP for UDF patterns used as breakpoints
The Linux kernel doesn't use the official bkpt insn for breakpoints;
instead it uses three instructions in the guaranteed-to-UNDEF space,
and generates SIGTRAP for these rather than the SIGILL that most
UNDEF insns generate:

https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v5.9.8/source/arch/arm/kernel/ptrace.c#L197

Make QEMU treat these insns specially too. The main benefit of this
is that if you're running a debugger on a guest program that runs
into a GCC __builtin_trap() or LLVM "trap because execution should
never reach here" then you'll get the expected signal rather than a
SIGILL.

ce437484fc linux-user: Correct definition of stack_t
Some platforms used the wrong definition of stack_t where the flags and
size fields were swapped or where the flags field had type ulong instead
of int.

Due to the presence of padding space in the structure and the prevalence
of little-endian machines this problem went unnoticed for a long time.

The type definitions have been cross-checked with the ones defined in
the Linux kernel v5.9, plus some older versions for a few architecture
that have been removed and Xilinx's kernel fork for NiosII [1].

The bsd-user headers remain unchanged as I don't know if they are wrong
or not.

fcb6fcf63b linux-user: Add generic 'termbits.h' for some archs
This patch introduces a generic 'termbits.h' file for following
archs: 'aarch64', 'arm', 'i386, 'm68k', 'microblaze', 'nios2',
'openrisc', 'riscv', 's390x', 'x86_64'.

Since all of these archs have the same termios flag values and
same ioctl_tty numbers, there is no need for a separate 'termbits.h'
file for each one of them. For that reason one generic 'termbits.h'
file was added for all of them and an '#include' directive was
added for this generic file in every arch 'termbits.h' file.

Also, some of the flag values that were missing were added in this
generic file so that it matches the generic 'termibts.h' and 'ioctls.h'
files from the kernel: 'asm-generic/termbits.h' and 'asm-generic/ioctls.h'.

02e5d7d78e linux-user: Add strace support for printing arguments of syscalls used to lock and unlock memory
This patch implements strace argument printing functionality for following syscalls:

    * mlock, munlock, mlockall, munlockall - lock and unlock memory

int mlock(const void *addr, size_t len)
int munlock(const void *addr, size_t len)
       int mlockall(int flags)
       int munlockall(void)
       man page: https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/mlock.2.html

Implementation notes:

Syscall mlockall() takes an argument that is composed of predefined values
which represent flags that determine the type of locking operation that is
to be performed. For that reason, a printing function "print_mlockall" was
stated in file "strace.list". This printing function uses an already existing
function "print_flags()" to print the "flags" argument. These flags are stated
inside an array "mlockall_flags" that contains values of type "struct flags".
These values are instantiated using an existing macro "FLAG_TARGET()" that
crates aproppriate target flag values based on those defined in files
'/target_syscall.h'. These target flag values were changed from
"TARGET_MLOCKALL_MCL*" to "TARGET_MCL_*" so that they can be aproppriately set
and recognised in "strace.c" with "FLAG_TARGET()". Value for "MCL_ONFAULT"
was added in this patch. This value was also added in "syscall.c" in function
"target_to_host_mlockall_arg()". Because this flag value was added in kernel
version 4.4, it is enwrapped in an #ifdef directive (both in "syscall.c" and
in "strace.c") as to support older kernel versions.
The other syscalls have only primitive argument types, so the
rest of the implementation was handled by stating an appropriate
printing format in file "strace.list". Syscall mlock2() is not implemented in
"syscall.c" and thus it's argument printing is not implemented in this patch.
