With qemu_strtosz(), no suffix means mebibytes. It's used rarely.
I'm going to add a similar function where no suffix means bytes.
Rename qemu_strtosz() to qemu_strtosz_MiB() to make the name
qemu_strtosz() available for the new function.

Generic helper machine_query_hotpluggable_cpus() replaced
target specific query_hotpluggable_cpus() callbacks so
there is no need in it anymore. However inon NULL callback
value is used to detect/report hotpluggable cpus support,
therefore it can be removed completely.
Replace it with MachineClass.has_hotpluggable_cpus boolean
which is sufficient for the task.

When running certain HMP commands ("info registers", "info cpustats",
"info tlb", "nmi", "memsave" or dumping virtual memory) with the "none"
machine, QEMU crashes with a segmentation fault. This happens because the
"none" machine does not have any CPUs by default, but these HMP commands
did not check for a valid CPU pointer yet. Add such checks now, so we get
an error message about the missing CPU instead.

Introduce rules in the top level Makefile that are able to generate
trace.[ch] files in every subdirectory which has a trace-events file.
The top level directory is handled specially, so instead of creating
trace.h, it creates trace-root.h. This allows sub-directories to
include the top level trace-root.h file, without ambiguity wrt to
the trace.g file in the current sub-dir.

Turn Chardev into Object.
qemu_chr_alloc() is replaced by the qemu_chardev_new() constructor. It
will call qemu_char_open() to open/intialize the chardev with the
ChardevCommon *backend settings.
The CharDriver::create() callback is turned into a ChardevClass::open()
which is called from the newly introduced qemu_chardev_open().
"chardev-gdb" and "chardev-hci" are internal chardev and aren't
creatable directly with -chardev. Use a new internal flag to disable
them. We may want to use TYPE_USER_CREATABLE interface instead, or
perhaps allow -chardev usage.
Although in general we keep typename and macros private, unless the type
is being used by some other file, in this patch, all types and common
helper macros for qemu-char.c are in char.h. This is to help transition
now (some types must be declared early, while some aren't shared) and
when splitting in several units. This is to be improved later.

Adding one more option "-f" for "info mtree" to dump the flat views of
all the address spaces.
This will be useful to debug the memory rendering logic, also it'll be
much easier with it to know what memory region is handling what address
range.

Leave the implementation of error_vprintf and error_vprintf_unless_qmp
(the latter now trivially wrapped by error_printf_unless_qmp) to
libqemustub.a and monitor.c. This has two advantages: it lets us
remove the monitor_printf and monitor_vprintf stubs, and it lets
tests provide a different implementation of the functions that uses
g_test_message.

The QMP visitors have no direct dependency on QMP. It is
valid to use them anywhere that one has a QObject. Rename them
to better reflect their functionality as a generic QObject
to QAPI converter.
This is the first of three parts: rename the files. The next two
parts will rename C identifiers. The split is necessary to make git
rename detection work.

Now that all front end use qemu_chr_fe_init(), we can move chardev
claiming in init(), and add a function deinit() to release the chardev
and cleanup handlers.
The qemu_chr_fe_claim_no_fail() for property are gone, since the
property will raise an error instead. In other cases, where there is
already an error path, an error is raised instead. Finally, other cases
are handled by &error_abort in qemu_chr_fe_init().

Instead of requiring clients to actually call the query-cpu-*
commands to find out if they are implemented, remove them from
the output of "query-commands", so clients know they are not
available.
This is implemented by extending the existing hack at
qmp_unregister_commands_hack(). I wish I could avoid adding even
more #ifdefs to that code, but that's the solution we have today.

Now that we allow CPU hot unplug on a few platforms, we can end up in a
situation where we don't have a CPU with index 0. Or at least we could,
if we didn't have code to explicitly prohibit unplug of CPU 0.
Longer term we want to allow CPU 0 unplug, this patch is an early step in

Replace the old manual dispatch and validation code by the generic one
provided by qapi common code.
Note that it is now possible to call the following commands that used to
be disabled by compile-time conditionals:
- dump-skeys
- query-spice
- rtc-reset-reinjection
- query-gic-capabilities
Their fallback functions return an appropriate "feature disabled" error.

We currently define QMP commands in two places: the QAPI schema and
qmp-commands.hx. The latter is preprocessed, the former is not. We
use the preprocessor to suppress configuration-specific commands. For
instance, query-spice is only available #ifdef CONFIG_SPICE.
QMP command dispatch and query-commands use the qmp-commands.hx
definition, and thus obey the #ifdeffery there. Good, because it lets
QMP clients probe for available features more easily.
query-qmp-schema uses the QAPI schema, and thus lists the
configuration-specific commands even when they're unavailable. Not so
good.
We're about to flip command dispatch and query-commands to the
non-middle-mode command registry, which uses the QAPI schema, so we
can ditch qmp-commands.hx. To avoid regressing query-commands,
arrange for commands that are suppressed with the preprocessor now to
be unregistered with that registry. This will keep them unavailable
and out of query-commands when we flip command dispatch and
query-commands to that registry, exactly as before.
This is a hack. The proper solution is to support
configuration-specific commands in the QAPI schema. Mark it FIXME.

Since a few commands are using 'gen': false, they are not registered
automatically by the generator. Register manually instead.
This is in preparation for removal of qapi 'middle' mode generation.
Note that qmp_init_marshal() function isn't run yet, so the commands
aren't actually registered, until module_call_init(MODULE_INIT_QAPI) is
added in a later patch.

handle_qmp_command() will switch to use qmp_dispatch(). It won't have a
pointer to the marshaller function anymore, but only the name of the
command to invoke. Simplify invalid_qmp_mode() so it can just be called
with the command name.

Add a monitor_cleanup() functions to remove all the monitors before
cleaning up the chardev. Note that we are "losing" some events that

This is a mostly-mechanical conversion that creates a new flat
union 'Netdev' QAPI type that covers all the branches of the
former 'NetClientOptions' simple union, where the branches are
now listed in a new 'NetClientDriver' enum rather than generated
from the simple union. The existence of a flat union has no
change to the command line syntax accepted for new code, and
will make it possible for a future patch to switch the QMP
command to parse a boxed union for no change to valid QMP; but
it does have some ripple effect on the C code when dealing with
the new types.
While making the conversion, note that the 'NetLegacy' type
remains unchanged: it applies only to legacy command line options,
and will not be ported to QMP, so it should remain a wrapper
around a simple union; to avoid confusion, the type named
'NetClientOptions' is now gone, and we introduce 'NetLegacyOptions'
in its place. Then, in the C code, we convert from NetLegacy to
Netdev as soon as possible, so that the bulk of the net stack
only has to deal with one QAPI type, not two. Note that since
the old legacy code always rejected 'hubport', we can just omit
that branch from the new 'NetLegacyOptions' simple union.

'qjson.h' is not a QObject subtype; include this file directly in
.c files that are using it, rather than abusing qmp/types.h for
that purpose.
Meanwhile, for files that include a list of individual QObject
subtypes, it's easier to just use qmp/types.h for that purpose.

When qemu_set_log_filename() detects an invalid file name, it reports
an error, closes the log file (if any), and starts logging to stderr
(unless daemonized or nothing is being logged).
This is wrong. Asking for an invalid log file on the command line
should be fatal. Asking for one in the monitor should fail without
messing up an existing logfile.
Fix by converting qemu_set_log_filename() to Error. Pass it
&error_fatal, except for hmp_logfile report errors.
This also permits testing without a subprocess, so do that.

It will allow mgmt to query present and hotpluggable CPU objects,
it is required from a target platform that wishes to support command
to implement and set MachineClass.query_hotpluggable_cpus callback,
which will return a list of possible CPU objects with options that
would be needed for hotplugging possible CPU objects.
There are:
'type': 'str' - QOM CPU object type for usage with device_add
'vcpus-count': 'int' - number of logical VCPU threads per
CPU object (mgmt needs to know)
and a set of optional fields that are to used for hotplugging a CPU
objects and would allows mgmt tools to know what/where it could be
hotplugged;
[node],[socket],[core],[thread]
For present CPUs there is a 'qom-path' field which would allow mgmt to
inspect whatever object/abstraction the target platform considers
as CPU object.
