Define the variable to the compiler flag used, not "y".
This avoids replication of the compiler flag itself.

In commit edac4d8a16 back in 2015 when we added support for
the virtual timer offset CNTVOFF_EL2, we didn't correctly update
the timer-recalculation code that figures out when the timer
interrupt is next going to change state. We got it wrong in
two ways:
* for the 0->1 transition, we didn't notice that gt->cval + offset
can overflow a uint64_t
* for the 1->0 transition, we didn't notice that the transition
might now happen before the count rolls over, if offset > count
In the former case, we end up trying to set the next interrupt
for a time in the past, which results in QEMU hanging as the
timer fires continuously.
In the latter case, we would fail to update the interrupt
status when we are supposed to.
Fix the calculations in both cases.
The test case is Alex Bennée's from the bug report, and tests
the 0->1 transition overflow case.

We need to ensure we squash the serial port if we want to hand craft
our muxed input. As a bonus emit the example with a V=1 build to make
it easier for people to figure out.

Running every plugin with every test is getting excessive as well as
not really improving coverage that much. Restrict the plugin tests to
just the MULTIARCH_TESTS which are shared between most architecture
for both system and user-mode. For those that aren't we need to squash
MULTIARCH_TESTS so we don't add them when they are not part of the
TESTS global.

Almost all invocations of run-test have either "$* on $(TARGET_NAME)"
or "$< on $(TARGET_NAME)" as the last argument. So provide a default
test name, while allowing an escape hatch for custom names.
As an additional simplification, remove the need to do shell quoting.

Even for container-based cross compilation use $(CROSS_CC_HAS_*) variables.
This makes the TCG test makefiles oblivious of whether the compiler is
invoked through a container or not.

This adds a new tests that allows us to test softmmu only features
including watchpoints. To do achieve this we need to:
- add _exit: labels to the boot codes
- write a memory.py test case
- plumb the test case into the build system
- tweak the run_test script to:
- re-direct output when asked
- use socket based connection for all tests
- add a small pause before connection

Otherwise we end up failing to build our tests on CI which may have
older compilers that the user expects. We can get rid of this once we
can fallback to multiarch containers.

This adds two new tests that re-use the memory test to check basic
record replay functionality is still working. We have to define our
own runners rather than using the default pattern as we want to change
the test name but re-use the memory binary.
We declare the test binaries as PHONY as they don't really exist.
[AJB: A better test would output some sort of timer value or other
otherwise variable value so we could compare the record and replay
outputs and ensure they match]

For i386 specifically, this allows using the host GCC
to compile the i386 tests. But, it should really be
done for all targets, unless we want to pass $(EXTRA_CFLAGS)
directly as part of $(CC).

Expand the memory test to cover move of the softmmu code. Specifically
we:
- improve commentary
- add some helpers (for later BE support)
- reduce boiler plate into helpers
- add signed reads at various sizes/offsets
- required -DCHECK_UNALIGNED

This provides the bootstrap and low level helper functions for an
aarch64 kernel. We use semihosting to handle test output and exiting
the emulation. semihosting's parameter passing is a little funky so we
end up using the stack and pointing to that as the parameter block.
