d6c666ad81 cuda: decrease time delay before raising VIA SR interrupt and remove fast path
In order to handle a race condition in the MacOS 9 CUDA driver, a
delay was introduced when raising the VIA SR interrupt inspired by
similar code in MacOnLinux.

During original testing of the MacOS 9 patches it was found that the
30us delay used in MacOnLinux did not work reliably within QEMU, and a
value of 300us was required to function correctly.

Recent experiments have shown two things: firstly when booting Linux,
MacOS 9 and MacOS X the fast path which bypasses the delay is never
triggered once the OS kernel is loaded making it effectively
useless. Rather than leave this code in place where a guest could
potentially enable it by accident and break itself, we might as well
just remove it.

Secondly the previous reliability issues are no longer present, and
this value can be reduced down to 20us with no apparent ill
effects. This has the benefit of considerably improving the
responsiveness of the ADB keyboard and mouse within the guest.

f5117fd285 hw/mips_cpc: kick a VP when putting it into Run statewq
While testing mttcg VP0 could get stuck in a loop waiting for other
VPs to come up (which never actually happens). To fix this, kick VPs
while they are being powered up by Cluster Power Controller in an
async task which is triggered once the host thread is being spawned.

5aeb368966 hw/misc/armsse-cpuid: Implement SSE-200 CPU_IDENTITY register block
The SSE-200 has a CPU_IDENTITY register block, which is a set of
read-only registers. As well as the usual PID/CID registers, there
is a single CPUID register which indicates whether the CPU is CPU 0
or CPU 1. Implement a model of this register block.

0a78d7ebf8 hw/misc/iotkit-secctl: Support 4 internal MPCs
The SSE-200 has 4 banks of SRAM, each with its own internal
Memory Protection Controller. The interrupt status for these
extra MPCs appears in the same security controller SECMPCINTSTATUS
register as the MPC for the IoTKit's single SRAM bank. Enhance the
iotkit-secctl device to allow 4 MPCs. (If the particular IoTKit/SSE
variant in use does not have all 4 MPCs then the unused inputs will
simply result in the SECMPCINTSTATUS bits being zero as required.)

The hardcoded constant "1"s in armsse.c indicate the actual number
of SRAM MPCs the IoTKit has, and will be replaced in the following
commit.

619d54a8d8 hw/misc/tz-mpc: Fix value of BLK_MAX register
In the TZ Memory Protection Controller, the BLK_MAX register is supposed
to return the maximum permitted value of the BLK_IDX register. Our
implementation incorrectly returned max+1 (ie the total number of
valid index values, since BLK_IDX is zero-based).

Correct this off-by-one error. Since we consistently initialize
and use s->blk_max throughout the implementation as the 'size'
of the LUT, just adjust the value we return when the guest reads
the BLK_MAX register, rather than trying to change the semantics
of the s->blk_max internal struct field.

3c8133f973 Rename cpu_physical_memory_write_rom() to address_space_write_rom()
The API of cpu_physical_memory_write_rom() is odd, because it
takes an AddressSpace, unlike all the other cpu_physical_memory_*
access functions. Rename it to address_space_write_rom(), and
bring its API into line with address_space_write().

3381466dc9 misc: Avoid UTF-8 in error messages
While most developers are now using UTF-8 environments, it's
harder to guarantee that error messages will be output to
a multibyte locale. Rather than risking error messages that
get corrupted into mojibake when the user runs qemu in a
non-multibyte locale, let's stick to straight ASCII error
messages, rather than assuming that our use of UTF-8 in source
code string constants will work unchanged in other locales.

bce410a33b ivshmem: fix memory backend leak
object_new() returns a new backend with refcount == 1 and
then later object_property_add_child() increases refcount to 2
So when ivshmem is destroyed, the backend it has created isn't
destroyed along with it as children cleanup will bring
backend's refcount only to 1, which leaks backend including
resources it is using.

Drop the original reference from object_new() once backend
is attached to its parent.

A significant part of hyperv.c is not actually tied to x86, and can

This will allow to maintain most of Hyper-V and VMBus

Also this stuff can now be opt-out with CONFIG_HYPERV.

3d3e6e85c3 hyperv: make HvSintRoute reference-counted
Multiple entities (e.g. VMBus devices) can use the same SINT route. To
make their lives easier in maintaining SINT route ownership, make it

b56920245c hyperv: allow passing arbitrary data to sint ack callback
Make sint ack callback accept an opaque pointer, that is stored on
sint_route at creation time.

This allows for more convenient interaction with the callback.

Besides, nothing outside hyperv.c should need to know the layout of
HvSintRoute fields any more so its declaration can be removed from the
header.

1ba5c3a954 hyperv_testdev: refactor for better maintainability
Make hyperv_testdev slightly easier to follow and enhance in future.
For that, put the hyperv sint routes (wrapped in a helper structure) on
a linked list rather than a fixed-size array. Besides, this way
HvSintRoute can be treated as an opaque structure, allowing for easier
refactoring of the core Hyper-V SynIC code in followup pathches.

b266f1d112 ivshmem: Fix unplug of device "ivshmem-plain"
Commit 2aece63c8a "hostmem: detect host backend memory is being used
properly" fixed "ivshmem-plain" to reject memory backends that are
already in use, and to block their deletion while in use. Two bugs
escaped review:

* New ivshmem_plain_exit() fails to call ivshmem_exit(). This breaks
unplug. Reproducer: migration after unplug still fails with
"Migration is disabled when using feature 'peer mode' in device
  'ivshmem'".

* It failed to update legacy "ivshmem". Harmless, because it creates
the memory backend itself, and nothing else should use it.

Fix by moving the two host_memory_backend_set_mapped() calls into
ivshmem_common_realize() and ivshmem_exit(), guarded by s->hostmem.

f8add62c0c hw/display/bcm2835_fb: Validate config settings
Validate the config settings that the guest tries to set.

The wiki page documentation is not really accurate here:
generally rather than failing requests to set bad parameters,
the hardware will just clip them to something sensible.

Validate the most important parameters: sizes and
the viewport offsets. This prevents the framebuffer
code from trying to read out-of-range memory.

In the property handling code, we validate the new parameters every
time we encounter a tag that sets them. This means we validate the
config multiple times if the request includes multiple config-setting
tags, but the code would require significant restructuring to do a
validation only once but still return the clipped settings for
get-parameter tags and the buffer allocation tag.

Validation of settings made via the older bcm2835_fb_mbox_push()
function will be done in the next commit.

01f18af98b hw/display/bcm2835_fb: Fix handling of virtual framebuffer
The raspi framebuffir in bcm2835_fb supports the definition
of a virtual "viewport", which is smaller than the full
physical framebuffer size and at an adjustable offset within
it. Only the viewport area is sent to the screen. This allows
the guest to do things like double buffering, or scrolling
by adjusting the viewport origin. Currently QEMU doesn't
implement this at all.

Add support for this feature:
 * the property mailbox code needs to distinguish the
virtual width/height from the physical width/height
 * the framebuffer code needs to do something with the
   virtual width/height/origin information

Note that the wiki documentation on the semantics of the
virtual and physical height and width has it the wrong way
around -- the virtual size is the size of the allocated
buffer, and the physical size is the size of the display,
so the virtual size is always the same as or larger than
the physical.

If the viewport size is set smaller than the physical
screen size, we ignore the viewport settings completely
and just display the physical screen area.
