a815ad6250 Fix longjmp to invalid address on jpeg init error
Libjpeg used in NetSurf for decoding of JPEG images handles exceptions using a
pair of non-local jump functions: setjmp() and longjmp(). When a decompression
context is created via a call to the function jpeg_create_decompress() the
caller passes a structure jpeg_decompress_struct as a parameter. This structure
should has a validly initialized jump buffer, so the initialization or other
functions called in future can jump to the exception handling context.

The jpeg backend of NetSurf now initializes libjpeg mistakenly: jump buffer is
filled after the call to jpeg_create_decompress(). It results in jump to random
addresses in the case of exception caught during operation of the function
jpeg_create_decompress().

The patch moves the initialization of jump buffer before the call to
jpeg_create_decompress().

59b108498a fix bitmap modification callback calling for bmp image handler

calling the modified callback at the correct time immediately after

798654f910 remove curl fetchers use of the wallclock API
The wallclock() API uses gettimeofday which can be affected by the the
systems clock being changed etc. The curl fetcher usage of this API is
to generate a timing delta and does not cope with the gettimeofday
issues.

This changes the fetcher to use the nsutils library monotonic time
function which does not suffer from the issues with gettimeofday.

b1e0a711c7 Stop reporting error from mime sniffing when a fetcher completes with no data
If a fetcher returns with no data (no content or http error code 204)
the hlcache state machine was trying to mimesniff using non existent

This changes the behaviour to be similar to that in the headers
received case where NSERROR_NOT_FOUND from the mimesniffing is not an
error.

4d1ef3bac4 Add support for retrying timed-out cURL fetches.
This is an attempt to amelioriate the situation found in #2384 where
we see the cURL connect() failing to complete. Based on the pcap
from the bug log, we believe that RISC OS is likely failing to signal
the completion of the connection to cURL. As such, cURL times out.

This change permits retries of timed out connections in the hope that
a fresh socket FD might subsequently function correctly. The defaults
chosen mean that the previous behaviour of 30 seconds before timeout
is reported will remain the same, but in that time we will make 3 separate
attempts to connect the socket.

change ensures they are grown to the full possible extent hence removing

8a99b045bc Remove url from content thumbnailers API
The content thumbnailers for each frontend were being provided the
contents url. This was only ever used to call the urldb thumbnail
setting API.

This changes it so the single callsite that passed a valid url adds
the bitmap to that url itself in desktop_history.c instead of forcing
every frontend to require the urldb API.

Additionally the old API could pass the url as NULL which was causing
asserts where this was not an expected parameter value. Because of
this this fixes bug #2286 which was also present in the monkey
frontend as both called nsurl_access() on the url without the NULL
check and caused an assertion.

8c2cfecfb5 Allow content handlers to have debug values set through API
Previously content handler debugging features were accessed by global

8ec7ad053a Make the fetching of a contents encoding generic.
The frontends previously had to use an html renderer API to get the
encoding of a content. This also required the explicit checking of the

this knowledge.

c31c4babe1 Change contextual content retrieval to browser features.
Update the API which allows frontends to acquire the page features
(images, link urls or form elements) present at the given coordinates
within a browser window.

By making this an explicit browser_window API and using the browser.h
header for the associated data structure with a more appropriate API
naming the usage is much more obvious and contained.

Additionally the link url is now passed around as a nsurl stopping it
being converted from nsurl to text and back again several times.

b5461c8313 Adjust the llcache behaviour to use scheduler for user notification.
This change updates the llcache to use the scheduler to notify users of the
llcache of events. This should be just as safe as before and is part of an
effort to remove hlcache_poll and llcache_poll eventually because fetchers
should schedule themselves if need-be.

This is a big change despite the diminutive nature of the patch. Please report
issues promptly if they turn up after this and are not visible before it.

c56642819e add file operations table and make all frontends use it.
This rationalises the path construction and basename file
operations. The default implementation is POSIX which works for all
frontends except windows, riscos and amiga which have differeing path
separators and rules.

These implementations are significantly more robust than the previous
nine implementations and also do not use unsafe strncpy or buffers
with arbitrary length limits.

These implementations also carry full documentation comments.

ba9769bc8c Pass fetch redirect info up to content layer as content_msg. Mark redirect origin URLs as visited in browser window content callback. Note this doesn't mean we track redirects, it just lets us get the :visited link style on links that redirect. 2013-05-27 14:51:00 +01:00

3afd9c9731 Remove search context from browser window, simplify search interface for front ends.
Added content interface for search.

Removed bw->cur_search search context. Desktop layer now does nothing
except pass search requests from front end onto the bw's current_content
via the content interface.

Search API reduced to a pair of functions at each level:
  {desktop|content|html|textplain}_search
and
  {desktop|content|html|textplain}_search_clear

Updated front ends to use simplified search API. Only tested GTK and RO builds.

These confine the search stuff to render/. However search still uses struct
selection. The handling for which is still spread over desktop/ and render/.
Also the render/search code itself still fiddles inside html and textplain
privates.

c2a718075a A load of refactoring of how content selection and input work.
Keypresses now go via content interface.
Contents don't shove the selection object into browser windows any more.
Contents report selection existence by sending message.
HTML content keeps track of where selections in it exist.
Contents report whether they have input focus via caret setting msg.
Caret can be hidden (can still input/paste) or removed.
Consolidate textarea selection handling.
Make textarea report its selection status changes to client.
Various textarea fixes.
Changed how we decide when to clear selections, and give focus.

Sadly, this breaks path cookies on HTTPS sites. The correct
fix is to implement RFC6265 in full (probably replacing
urldb with something less complex, too).

This reverts commit 924f8844d4.

e9b207c658 Port urldb to nsurl. Won't build since rest of NS needs ported to new urldb API.
+ urldb API now takes URLs as nsurl, rather than string.
+ urldb internally stores full URLs with nsurl ref.
+ urldb internally stores schemes as lwc_string.
+ Load and save of cookies and URL file may be slower since
we now need to create a nsurl.
+ Everything else should be faster, and there should be much
less allocating/freeing and much less parsing of the same
  url over and over again.
+ Updated urldbtest for new urldb API.
+ urldbtest now cleans up at the end
+ Added lwc_string itterator to end of urldbtest
+ Adding some broken URLs (such as http:domain/) will now
work, since nsurl fixes (http://domain/) them.
