Looking at the code that's only the case when we read EOF from stdin. This fixes the problem where MC consumes a lot of cpu time while reading EOF from stdin in a tight loop. This situation arises when the terminal line/connection drops without MC being sent SIGHUP. This is the Slang Screen Manager, it has been modified a little to make it work with the Midnight Commander. If you want to get the complete Slang distribution, you may grab it from: http://space.mit.edu/~davis/slang.html ftp://space.mit.edu/pub/davis/slang All of the patches relevant to Slang have been sumbited to John Davis for inclusion in his Slang version, changes that are only useful for the Midnight Commander have not been submited. miguel.
