1b9f286945 - New way of CPUs scheduling in SMP mode brings up to 50% speedup to the 
SMP emulation. New implementation uses dynamic CPU quantum value and takes
   full advantage of the trace cache. Each emulated processor will execute
   the whole trace before switching to the next processor.
 * It is also safe to use large (up to 16 instructions) quantum values for
   the SMP emulation now and improve performance even further.

The same merge also completely fixes SF bug :
  [3312237] stepN command might be not working properly

Handlers chaining speedups are also supported with SMP emulation now.

13feb0772a - 10% emulation speedup with handlers chaining optimization implemented. The 
feature is enabled by default when configure with --enable-all-optimizations
    option, to disable handlers chaining speedups configure with

592c3399eb - created separate plugin 'netmod' that contains the common networking code 
and the supported ethernet modules
  - renamed eth.* files to netmod.*
  - pseudo-device plugin implementation similar to 'soundmod'

d11114ac19 Patch for emulating target with larger memory than host has available by Gary Cameron. 
The patch was posted in mailing list at Thu 6/16/2011.

Desription for CHANGES:

- Memory
  - Added new configure option which enables RAM file backing for large guest
    memory with a smaller amount host memory, without causing a panic when
    host memory is exhausted (patch by Gary Cameron). To enable configure with
        --enable-large-ramfile option.

64cb427843 - define variable MSVC_TARGET that can be used to skip useless tests of the 
environment. As a first step use it to skip some networking module tests.
- link BOCHS.EXE with MSVCRT if MSVC plugin support is enabled (building DLL
  plugins with nmake still not possible - VS2008Ex workspace package coming soon)
- updated some messages for NE2000, PCI and USB

6a42228075 - first step for DLL plugin support with MSVC. Now the BOCHS.EXE with plugin 
support compiles and links fine and the main object files for the plugin DLLs
  are created. Since the gui and iodev makefiles are not ready yet, the link
  stage must be done manually. Support for the search path defined in
  LTDL_LIBRARY_PATH should be added when the DLL plugins compile and work.

76c11e1a40 - Configure option --enable-acpi is deprecated and should not be used anymore. 
The ACPI support is always automatically compiled in if PCI is compiled in.
    The ACPI still could be disabled using .bochsrc 'plugin_ctrl' option.

Updated CHANGES and docs as well.

ae45908060 - ported ES1370 soundcard emulation from Qemu. For now, only sound output to 
DAC2 is sent to the lowlevel sound module. DAC1 and sound input (ADC) are not
  yet supported. Also unsupported: CODEC (mixer), UART (MIDI) and legacy support.
  Sound module selection in configure script now no longer depends on SB16 and
  uses autodetection only.

8c32359615 The VBE display extension is now a part of the Bochs core. The configure option 
--enable-vbe is now deprecated and the symbols BX_SUPPORT_VBE and
BX_SUPPORT_PCIVGA have been removed. To enable VBE support, the bochsrc option
"vga: extension=" must be set to "vbe". If PCI is present, you can assign the
"pcivga" device to a PCI slot.

e2e0e176e4 fixed configure for M$ 
strtoull is widely used by Bochs but osdep.cc method is NOT working correctly for all cases 
I occasinally saw it with MSDEV. But MSDEV supports this function natively

49f4a38c82 - applied user mode networking patch by Heikki Lindholm. It requires the most 
recent version of Slirp with Debian patches applied. On a Linux host the
  guest OS can access the internet without running Bochs with root privileges.
  TODO:
  * rewrite the DHCP part of eth_vnet.cc that it can be used here, too
  * Slirp doesn't compile on 64-bit Linux with GCC 4.5
  * WIN32 is not supported yet

c214fffa5e - created a separate plugin that contains the USB devices, the devices init 
code and the generic USB stuff. Up to now, in plugin mode each host controller
  staticly links all this stuff with the plugin library. So it existed twice and
  e.g. it wasn't possible to create a unique serial number for disks/cdroms
  connected to different HCs. Some other sanity checks could be added now, too.
- Added a register mechanism for the USB device init function in the main
  devices code.
- TODO: Some other device plugins could be fixed the same way: network devices
        (sharing ethernet modules), harddrive & usb_msd (sharing hdimage and
        cdrom)

cd445195dd cleanup configure options. All paging related stuff is now automatically set/unset according to cpu-level option. 
Related configure options (--enable-pae, --enable-mtrr, --enable-global-pages, --enable-large-pages) are deprecated.

c82e57cb5f - implemented dynamic dialog box created from a parameter list (bx_list_c) 
* ported the basic functionality of the wx ParamDialog to win32
  * moved AskFilename() function to the new file
  * win32ParamDialog() now used for the external USB hub (if present)
  * TODO: with some extensions it might be possible to use it for all runtime
    dialogs and to implement a gui replacement for the textconfig start menu

93dd7bfccf Fixed compilation issues with GUI debugger enabled. 
- Added configure option to compile in GUI frontend for Bochs internal
    debugger, to enable configure with --enable-debugger-gui option. The GUI
    debugger frontend is enabled by default with Bochs internal debugger.

If needed to compile without GUI debugger (in case of compilation issues) use --disable-debugger-gui

42fdd8a3a1 During Bochs benchmarking I figured out that hostasm actually slow down the emulation ... so remove this ugly code which also doesn't help :) 
speedup flags update for some instructions - idea was taken from DT patch by h.johansson

071c5c1a26 A lot of changes but everything is really trivial. 
Make save/restore default feature, the configure option for save/restore removed from configure script and save/restore made available forever. All code now assume it is exists. Bochs save/restore tree previosly called "save_restore" renamed to "bochs" tree and it will be havily used everywhere, starting from save/restore and ending by various bochs debugger functions. I am going to rework debugger code to get rid of debug CPU access functions and use this "bochs" param tree instead

* removed old-style mouse stuff
  * TODO: implement USB tablet from Qemu and re-implement Bochs USB keypad
- clear out USB hub structures in constructor to avoid segfault
- keyboard: mouse capture flag must affect all mouse types

067f23e3da Fix set 'ah,bh,ch,dh' registers from debugger 
Enable disasm by default - in adds some useful information to debug messages in log file
Remove defines for 8bit registers from cpu.h, the x86 arch defines not match defines used by set_reg and get_reg methods.

37eb82c69c Totally remove the cosimulation code from Bochs. 
The Bochs anyway even doesn't compile if cosimulation configured enabled.
But in the same time the cosimulation code only disturbs to the future development of Bochs debugger, for example adding x86-64 functionality ...
For those of you who still may want to see the cosimulation code inside I put it in patch and upload it Bochs CVS patches folder. Read comments for the patch ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------

cc59e24639 - removed BX_USE_CONFIG_INTERFACE stuff. A configuration interface is always 
present and a quickstart option exists, too
- improved check for GTK 2.x (only needed if basename of wx is 'wx_gtk2')
- moved/added some deprecated configure options to the end of the script. These
  checks should force users and distrubutors to update their config options.
