807304b100 build: Add basic support for MinGW hosts.
This doesn't fully work yet (the FS code in libroot_build
needs to be adapted, as some of the symlink-related calls
are not available on MinGW), but it gets much further than
the "Cygwin" target did.

61206a24c9 build: Cleanup of libgnuregex usage.
John's revert of my removal commit dragged back a bunch of cygwin/sunos
cruft, as well as re-adding RegExp.cpp to the host libshared, that we don't
need.

Instead, remove this and add libgnuregex_build to just the tools/keymap
link alongside the FreeBSD gnuregex case.

940a3a2322 Revert "build/libgnuregex: Remove."
This reverts commit ca087b0532.

ca087b0532 build/libgnuregex: Remove.
It was needed on macOS for a time when BUrl used regexes for parsing.
Now it does not, and so we can remove libshared's RegExp from build
libshared, and thus also libgnuregex.

0d020b8298 headers/build: Use the system's types.h on Haiku.
Technically a "hack" (but then again most of the config/build stuff is);
as we need to use the system's config/types.h in order to get stdint
definitions and the like.

Previously there was a config_build directory which allowed the existence
of two types.h -- the system one, and the headers/build one, but seeing
as we only need this to provide Haiku-specific core types on other platforms,
using the system's one should be fine.

Our core type definitions have not changed in some time (and it's unclear
when they would change aside from potential new platforms), breakage of the
Haiku-on-Haiku build due to this should not happen often (if ever.)

129626b593 Fix warnings building on newer OS X
Apple has gotten around to updating their POSIX support so these
constants are now defined. Add some #ifndef guards to prevent warnings
during compile.

eef22dfb75 Revert "Remove haiku_host/Errors.h"
This reverts commit f105756e27.

The host header gets included if this file is missing , rather than the
one in the build tree. Fix the build again.

f105756e27 Remove haiku_host/Errors.h
The only purpose of this was to use the installed version of Errors.h,
which isn't strictly needed and create some annoyance when new error
codes are added.

6bcbdcc3c0 Use current Errors.h when building libbe_build
This allows adding new error codes to the libbe_build without breaking
the build on older Haiku versions.

Fixes the build for the newly introduced B_PARTIAL_READ and
B_PARTIAL_WRITE.

b55c918f57 Import gnuregex 0.12 and remove hardcoded paths
This is required on OS X and other systems which do not have the glibc
extensions for regular expressions (FreeBSD is not one of them as it
already includes gnuregex in /usr). With this there are no hardcoded
non-standard paths for OS X anymore.

regex.c and regex.h are from the official gnuregex 0.12 distribution,
the only modification is that I added __BEGIN_DECLS and __END_DECLS to
regex.h.

204dee708a Use libbe_build also on Haiku
This means the build tools will no longer be built against the host
platform's libbe, which avoids compatibility problems -- e.g. an
older Haiku host libbe may not have certain features the build tools
require -- and also makes the build behave more similiar on Haiku and
other platforms. The host libroot dependency still remains and is not
easy to get rid of.

Also remove some bits of BeOS/Dano/Zeta build support.

a43b1ed6d8 Split fs_darwin.h defines into various platform dependent headers.
This completes the final 1/3 of #8857. Changes again by nielx with
style fixes by me.

The one part that I couldn't figure out, and maybe Ingo can chime
in here. If headers/build/host/darwin/sys/stat.h is surrounded in

extern "C" {

}

guards then I get a link error complaining that the functions defined
here are duplicate symbols, once in fs.o and once in function_remapper.o.
For example:

ld: duplicate symbol _futimens in generated/objects/darwin/x86_64/release/build/libroot/libroot_build_function_remapper.a(function_remapper.o) and generated/objects/darwin/x86_64/release/build/libroot/libroot_build.a(fs.o) for architecture x86_64

I'm not sure why that is.

9d6e5fdb65 Fix build by adding some Mac OS X specific files that implement fs function missing on that OS. The functions are stubbed out currently and have not been implemented. However, it does build now. I also added a weak attribute in driver_settings.cpp that I have no idea what does but was necessary to fix the build. 2012-03-02 21:04:00 -05:00

902e646ceb Import glibc 2.11.2 regex.h for Solaris
Cygwin and Solaris rely on Haiku supplying a glibc-compatible regex.h header.
Before r38031, Solaris was able to reuse cygwin/regex.h successfully. Import
the latest stable 2.11 posix/regex.h to avoid local trickery and to silence
some RE_* errors.

It is very likely necessary to update cygwin/regex.h as well, but I don't have
a test setup to verify.

dff0e735eb julun+mauricek:
* Cygwin does not have regex support, so we use the one we already have in our glibc.
   * Keymap.h has a automatic forward declaration of re_registers, which causes a compile break on Cygwin, but not on other platforms. So add a include for regex.h in the header and remove it in the source file.
