function sets the disposition of the signal

to
.Dv SIG_IGN .
.Sh RETURN VALUES
If successful, the
.Fn sigignore
function returns 0.
Otherwise \-1 is returned and
.Va errno
is set to indicate the error.
.Sh ERRORS
The
.Fn sigignore
function will fail if:

The argument

is not a valid signal number.

An attempt is made to ignore a signal that cannot be ignored,
