512709b547 PR/39094 - Kaspar Brand -- Add et (Agere ET1310/ET1301) network driver 
The et(4) driver supports PCI Express Ethernet adapters based on
the Agere/LSI ET1310/ET1301 integrated MAC/PHY.

The et(4) driver was written by Sepherosa Ziehau for DragonFlyBSD,
ported to OpenBSD by Jonathan Gray and subsequently ported to NetBSD
by Kaspar Brand.

aa94cc597c Link Lua to the build and add the resulting files to the distribution sets.

1e89108160 Add resize_ffs tool to build, change default behaviour to grow filesystem 
to device size. Add parameter -s to specify size if user want to shrink
filesystem.

Apply some KNF, remove dead unused code.

961a77cdbb Use consistent names for distribution RAMDISK kernels: 
netbsd.able-INSTALL.gz -> netbsd-INSTALL.ABLE.gz
 netbsd.aout-INSTALL.gz -> netbsd-INSTALL.aout.gz

XXX: Probably it's simpler to have default ELF (currently ABLE) kernels
XXX: and optional a.out ones for old firmware as sgimips does for ecoff ones.

0e228a11be Build and install bootxx_ext2fs, primary boot for ext2fs. 
Ext2fs doesn't have enough free space (it has only 1KB)
to store this primary loader, but we can put it into
an independent small 'boot' partition as NetBSD/hp300 does
if it's really necessary.

It could be a fun project to add smaller pre-primary loader
that loads ~8KB primary loader for ext2fs, but probably it's unlikely
because there is a functional wheel named GRUB for ext2fs.

1e8199a6ea Add dumb code to select an appropriate kernel set to be installed 
per running INSTALL kernel name taken from sysctl kern.version.

XXX: on all arm ports, sysctl hw.cpu_model returns a processor name,
XXX: not machine model as mentioned in <sys/sysctl.h>.

2e6f2099c6 Import NPF - a packet filter. Some features: 
- Designed to be fully MP-safe and highly efficient.

- Tables/IP sets (hash or red-black tree) for high performance lookups.

- Stateful filtering and Network Address Port Translation (NAPT).
  Framework for application level gateways (ALGs).

- Packet inspection engine called n-code processor - inspired by BPF -
  supporting generic RISC-like and specific CISC-like instructions for
  common patterns (e.g. IPv4 address matching).  See npf_ncode(9) manual.

- Convenient userland utility npfctl(8) with npf.conf(8).

NOTE: This is not yet a fully capable alternative to PF or IPFilter.
Further work (support for binat/rdr, return-rst/return-icmp, common ALGs,
state saving/restoring, logging, etc) is in progress.

25c3593d4e add new option to build/use tools/pigz for compressing sets. for now 
USE_PIGZGZIP defaults to "no".  (it depends upon local <pthread.h> and -lz.)

you can set it to "yes" on most modern platforms just fine.

36eb8b89e2 Add bsd.ioconf.mk now that we are installing it. You must be able 
to type 'make obj' and have it work from any directory, and if you
try from /usr/src/compat, this does not work because the build does
not automatically add -m $topdir/share/mk in that case.

cee90d4c4c Replace csu test case with a C++ based version. This makes the various 
assembler routines obsolete. Be more exhaustive by testing dynamically
linked, statically linked and dynamically loaded.

XXX currently hard-codes /usr/tests due to limitations of bsd.test.mk

6479f6e5b4 ldap is configured to depend upon MKCRYPTO no, so force MKLAP=no if 
MKCRYPTO=no.
don't build pkg_install, libcrypto tests or rump_smbfs if MKCRYPTO=no.
mark librumpcrypto, rump_smb, pkg_*

fix set lists as appropriate.

2bf45345db Move the thread stack attribute functions to a separate page. In addition, 
document pthread_attr_getstack() and pthread_attr_setstack(). Try to also
document these a little better (in particular, note some items in the long
list of caveats and questions related to application-controlled thread stack).

ad13e17661 move all the radeondrm firmware images into the filesystem. check that 
some firmware sizes are the expected size.  (XXX make all.)

based upon similar changes seen in the linux radeon drm driver.

this saves about 250KB in the kernel or module.

c3e7f27703 Add upgt(4), a driver for Conexant/Intersil PrismGT SoftMAC USB 
IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN device, ported from OpenBSD by FUKAUMI Naoki:

Slightly modified by me to use recently added config_mountroot(9)
to defer some device initialization until mountroot for firmload(9).

Tested on Sharp W-ZERO3 WS003SH with internal WLAN.

Note currently we cannot redistribute firmware files for upgt(4) so
they have to be downloaded and copied into /libdata/firmware/upgt manually.
See upgt(4) man page about firmware details.

890d0a141c move the *.elf contents into the *mi* contents. we're not going to have 
non-elf platforms at any thing in the near future, and these extra files
are only making sets handling even worse than necessary.
