Don't advise to throw away /.profile. The one used during install

will be overwritten by the etc set already. Also, add better
instructions on how to configure things once sysinst is done.

- Use dynamically allocated buffers instead of fixed length ones.
- Use err/warn
- Don't re-scan strings needlessly.
- Handle extensions properly for page names that contain more than
one period printing:
resolv.conf (5) - resolver configuration file
instead of:
resolv.conf (conf.5) - resolver configuration file
This fixes PR/4738: "Coredump in getNAME" as a side effect.
This program is a hack; it depends on the ``standard format'' of a man page
and can get easily confused. At least now it will not core-dump...
