b822e3e5a8 Fix incorrect SHA1 calculation on big endian machines reported 
in PR/12045 by John Valdes, who also provided the problem's
solution and a patch.

XXX This problem could have been caught about a year ago if we

fc701562b4 make these lint properly. 
1. don't use MB_CUR_MAX, but MB_LEN_MAX because MB_CUR_MAX is a variable.
2. return a size_t type.
3. added const cond on do while macros.
4. remove unused variables and code,

360514740c Add shquote() and shquotev(). From the manual page: 
The shquote() and shquotev() functions copy strings and transform the
     copies by adding shell escape and quoting characters.  They are used to
     encapsulate arguments to be included in command strings passed to the
     system() and popen() functions, so that the arguments will have the cor-
     rect values after being evaluated by the shell.

6964bdfcad Re-instate __fixunssfsi() and __fixunsdfsi(), but only for arm32 with a.out 
binaries, because libc's provided them there forever.

328780b294 Leave selection of APCS mode to the compiler -- future versions of cpp will 
get it right.

Always include new softfloat code -- it seems OK on arm32.

dea3f7103b it seems that gethostent(3) is no longer supplied in libc.

3bad25dc55 Sync w/ Citrus. 
Do not unmap mo files to make sure the gettext() return values are
valid even when multiple mo files are accessed by turns.
Some applications (GNOME, etc) depends on this behaviour of GNU's
implementation.
