is used for cdroms, not just floppies :) adjust paths as necessary for
this merge.

to take a single character at a time, where the character is an "int" now.
The old interface (took a string) was never called with more than 1
char to print, and the "int" allows us to handle charsets cleanly.
It should be able to parse escape sequences up to VT300, but not everything
is implemented. Most notably, there is no font handling - all displayable
characters are handed to the graphics driver. To solve this, a serious
interface change to the graphics driver is needed (Unicode?).
GC the unused `physadr' type, which was not able to hold a complete physical
address on 2 architectures anyhow. Also, move the definition of the `label_t'
type inside _KERNEL protection, since it is specific to the in-kernel
setjmp()/longjmp() implementations.
histories to merge in cronological order. currently, MAPHIST and
PDHIST are defined as 1 and 2 respectively. passing a bitmask of 0
to uvm_hist() will dump all maps.
special characters is the default behaviour, which may be disabled by
setting GLOB_NOESCAPE.
* If no matching pathnames have been found and GLOB_NOCHECK was not set
(or special csh(1)-specific treatment of magic characters was requested),
return GLOB_NOMATCH instead of 0; the latter would indicate a successful
operation.
* Use strcoll() instead of strcmp() to sort globbed pathnames.

* Add GLOB_NOMATCH, which will be returned if no matching pathnames have been
found and GLOB_NOCHECK was not set.
* Add GLOB_NOSYS for completeness; it will never happen.
