int pci_bus_devorder(pci_chipset_tag_t pc, int bus, char list[32]);
int pci_dev_funcorder(pci_chipset_tag_t pc, int bus, int device, char list[8]);

they control the order of PCI bus probe at the device and function level,
by filling in a value from 0 to 31 for pci_bus_devorder() or 0 to 7 for
pci_dev_funcorder, with a value of -1 to signify no more entries.

when device properties arrive, these will be replaced with some facility
based on properties (design/implementation unknown currently.)

reinoud 5cc6423696 Fixed the bug that crept into giving support for moving IOMDs during startup.
Initially I gave it the type `int *iomd_base' but some macro's defined in
iomdreg.h calculated with the value asuming it to be an int ... thus all the
registers offsets were multiplied by four and that can only mean trouble !
The kernel boots again ever happily. Sorry for the inconvenience... it was
a good bug hunt though!

structure. While this comes with the cost of having to search the
`vm_physmem' array every time need to find a PV entry corresponing to
some physical address, we gain the flexibility needed to support
arbitrary non-contiguous ranges of physical memory addresses.

Also, eliminate the need to sort the memory address ranges as presented
by the machine's PROM, and the requirement that physical memory starts
at address 0 (when possible).

mjacob 0adf4d13bb Oh, god, make the pain stop. "Fix" this one more time- but for the next
to last time.

It turns out that in fact, sparc64 was *not* working. There is a discussion
within the tech-kern@netbsd.org mail list as of just prior to this date
that contains the details.

Suffice to say that for sparc64 we have to add back in the usage
of BUS_DMA_COHERENT again to the call to bus_dmamap_load_raw. PK
added the usage of bus_dmamap_load_raw- which agrees with the
man page description of it- but now does not match what the
original BusDma author seems to think it's supposed to do.

While we're at it, do a specific set of steps for setting up and,
if necessary, tearing down, mailbox dma mappings.

Bug fixes for currently harmless bugs that could rise to bite
the unwary if the code were called in slightly different ways.

[...]

2) In ufs_lookup() there is an off-by-one error in the test that checks
if dp->i_diroff is outside the range of the the current directory size.
This is completely harmless, since the following while-loop condition
'dp->i_offset < endsearch' is never met, so the code immediately
does a second pass starting at dp->i_offset = 0.

3) Again in ufs_lookup(), the condition in a sanity check is wrong
for directories that are longer than one block. This bug means that
the sanity check is only effective for small directories.

msaitoh bba3f2423b add comment about $CPP
From source:

# XXX following definition is absolutely incorrect.
# Our cpp is not /usr/libexec/cpp but /usr/bin/cpp.
# True solution is:
#	1) copy /usr/bin/cpp into /usr/local/bin/sh-*-*-cpp
#	2) Edit CPP in sh-*-*-cpp correctly
#		(e.g. "CPP=`$CC -print-prog-name=cpp`").
#	3) Edit STDINCDIR in sh-*-*-cpp correctly
#		(e.g. STDINCDIR=/usr/local/sh-unknown-netbsdcoff/include)

# BROKEN
CPP=`$TARGET-gcc -print-prog-name=cpp`

# EXAMPLE
#CPP=/usr/local/bin/sh-unknown-netbsdcoff-cpp
#CPP=/usr/local/bin/sh-unknown-netbsdelf-cpp
