540dfebf15 Rather than using individual HP300 model names, map those model names to
properties such as "M68040" and "M68K_MMU_MOTOROLA", used to conditionally
compile code. This is more in-line with now the other m68k ports do it,
and makes it much easier to find "common ground" among them.

In locore.s, use the MMU-type constants defined my <machine/cpu.h> rather
than "expanded" values.

Because HP300-model names are mapped to CPU/MMU combinations in
<machine/cpu.h>, no change to kernel configuration will be necessary.

b6c6d46a82 In sdminphys(), add a comment about the semantics of the "length" field
in a 6-byte read/write cdb (namely, length == 0 really means 256), and
that we handle this conservatively by limiting the transfer to 255 blocks.
*sigh* One just never knows how a pre-scsi-1 device is going to behave.

c9895db015 In both cd.c and sd.c:
If the read or write request can fit into a 6-byte cdb, then
	use a 6-byte cdb, otherwise use the 10-byte as before.

In sd.c:
	In sdattach(), make a note if the device is "ancient" (i.e.
	inqbuf.version & SID_ANSII == 0).

	Implement sdminphys(): if the device is "ancient", shorten the
	transfer so it will fit into a 6-byte cdb.

These changes have eliminated the rejected read/write requests on my
Sun 3/60 with 2 ESDI disks behind an Emulex MD21.

9c784e07c1 Fix the integer overflow problem in pmap_init() when the user PT map is
allocated, as noticed by Chuck Cranor. In addition to re-arranging
the assignment as suggested by Niklas Hallqvist, check to see if maxproc
is higher than the number of available user PTs. If it is, lower maxproc
to that value, the rationale being that it's much more desirable to have
fork() return EAGAIN than to have your system wedge.

XXX note that root can still raise maxproc with sysctl(2) later. It's
probably worth having further discussion about this issue, but until
everyone has time to think about it, this seems like an acceptable solution
for the time being.

Clean up namespace, remove several instances of global arrays. Instead,

0ec193c9b2 Get COMPAT_HPUX partially working on the hp300. Notable improvements:
* It compiles (and links).
	* Make use of "/emul/hpux" where applicable.
	* Untangle a bit, pulling some funtions from the monolithic
	  hpux_compat.c into hpux_file.c, hpux_exec.c, etc.
	* Fix a couple of bugs.
Yet to do:
	* Move hp300-specific functions into hp300/hp300/hpux_machdep.c.
	* Make everything work properly (you laugh...)

These changes are sufficient to run some simple HP-UX 9.x executables,
including ls(1) (which will read password and group information from the
YP server correctly, albeit slowly), a simple "hello world", uname(1),
and a few other odds and ends. Dynamically linked executables work, and
demand-paging _seems_ to work properly. Major problems:
	* socket and/or signal handling appears to need some work yet.
	* 99% sure I didn't do exactly the right thing adjusting for the
	  fact that "kstack" is gone now.
	* ktrace(1)'ing some executables (HP-UX telnet(1) is what I tried)
	  causes the HP-UX executable to dump core with a SIGSEGV for an
	  as of yet unknown reason.

This is mostly meant as a checkpoint/snapshot, to make it easier for others
to track progress on this code, and hack on it themselves. It's certainly
better off now than before.

a2ce90f34c change definition of profil() to make it 64-bit friendly. This has
no practical consequence on 32-bit systems. old prototype was
int profil(char *, int, int, int), and new one is int profile(char *,
size_t, u_long, u_int). the size_t is the size of the buffer,
and the u_long is the 'starting offset'. (I changed the last int
to u_int, because it's treated as a u_int everywhere, and isn't
logically a signed value.)

dfad729a16 make netinet work on systems where pointers and longs are 64 bits
(like the alpha). Biggest problem: IP headers were overlayed with
structure which included pointers, and which therefore didn't overlay
properly on 64-bit machines. Solution: instead of threading pointers
through IP header overlays, add a "queue element" structure to do
the threading, and point it at the ip headers.
