simonb 8d6004faf3 We can't use <string.h> for standalone programs;
use <lib/libkern/libkern.h> for str*() prototypes instead.

perseant 8685c52d63 Make the "-O" (start filesystem offset) flag to newfs_lfs work correctly,
and update fsck_lfs and dumplfs to deal with it. Note that while the argument
to -O is given in disk sectors, it must be a multiple of the fragment size,
and although it can be lower than the label or superblock, it can't intersect
either.

lukem 82aaf00052 minor cosmetic tweak 2003-02-23 00:26:02 +00:00
perseant 3ab94fed93 Fix a buffer overflow bug in the LFS_UBC case that manifested itself
either as a mysterious UVM error or as "panic: dirty bufs". Verify
maximum size in lfs_malloc.

Teach lfs_updatemeta and lfs_shellsort about oversized cluster blocks from
lfs_gop_write.

When unwiring pages in lfs_gop_write, deactivate them, under the theory
that the pagedaemon wanted to free them last we knew.

lukem 6bce155b9e now that the obsolete lists are part of the "base" set (instead of "etc"),
only look for them in ${DEST_DIR}/var/db/obsolete

lukem adc15e0f59 move the obsolete lists from etc to base, as they're more useful there.

atatat fb9b07a6a7 Properly print the VM_MAP_TOPDOWN flag if it is set, document the
VM_MAP_TOPDOWN flag (and the VM_MAP_DYING flag, since it never got
documented before), minor tweak to one of the examples, and use the
UVM_ET_IS*() macros instead of doing the same work manually.

lukem 4f6381b784 all:
Use /var/db/obsolete instead of /etc/obsolete

etc/Makefile:
Create separate target "install-obsolete-files" to populate
	/var/db/obsolete, instead of using "install-etc-files".

Makefile:
Add do-obsolete target, to run "cd etc && make install-obsolete-files",
	and add this to BUILDTARGETS.
This moves the "obsolete files" creation from "distribution" to "build".

Per discussion with Andrew Brown.

jhawk f5d8b1f4f1 /etc/daily: Suppress empty security reports
/etc/security: unidiff by default; support other choices via ``diff_options''
2003-02-21 22:50:28 +00:00
jhawk 1d79603c81 Use $diff_options when running diff in /etc/security.
Default diff_options to -u, for unified-format context diffs,
because context is essential to a useful evaluation of differences.
This represents a behavior change.
