Makefile fragment used to determine the path to crypto code in the

source tree. Allows CRYPTOBASE to be set in mk.conf or environment.
If it's not set, it searches for: crypto-us, crypto-intl in that order.
Setting CRYPTOBASE to none forces a no-crypto build. EXPORTABLE_SYSTEM
is supported for backwards-compatibility.
Will be used in a forthcoming mega-commit which significantly improves
the build process when building a crypto-enabled system, and allows
for the international crypto sub-tree to be seamlessly integrated into
the build process.

Fix the `mysterious blank lines' problem (in 98% of cases, anyway). This was
...
due to unconditional use of .ne. groff apparently inserts some virtual trap
at the end of each page, and this was causing the .ne commands to output extra
lines. Solution is to only use them in troff.
Also fix a related bug in .It, where it would insert a page break in the middle
of a sentence.
Remove the end of page trap in nroff mode, as this causes .sp to sometimes eat
the space due to the nearby trap.
Lastly, undue a previous change that broke the formatting of the SYNOPSIS
section, until we determine the right way to fix that.

This was originally intended for just the new distrib/notes and other
non-man-page project documentation, but in fact it can get almost all of
the man pages right at this point.
In many cases, I would suggest that original documentation not be written
in HTML or ASCII any more. A good example would be "supported devices".
It's presently duplicated, in the install notes, the web pages, and the
man pages. If written in -mdoc, it can automatically be a man page, a www
page feature, and a printable, downloadable file. We can generate PostScript
and the "unix enhanced text" format used by more(1), as well as plain old
ascii, and all using in-tree tools.

what they do is delete the first parameter unless it is a callable macro.

* Define an Nx number register so the macro becomes sort-of callable. It
does punctuation wrong, looking at argument count rather than argument

Add a checkver target to bsd.lib.mk. This target executes the checkver script to find installed shared libraries with major/minor versions that are too big. for machines where debug on panic is useful, but DDB entry is not,
(public-access console, or terminal-servers which send spurious breaks)
Add new ddb hook, console_debugger(), which decides whether or not to
ignore console ddb requests. Console drivers should be updated to call
console_debugger(), not Debugger(), in response to serial-console
break or ddb keyboard sequence.

Quite a bit of rewriting:

1. Document CONTROL MODE (and the fact that you can do I/O now if
the device is opened in control mode- the actual close behaviour
is akin to normal mode (i.e., it rewinds)). This should probably
either be a separate bit, or O_NDELAY on the open as well.
2. Document new MTEWARN subcommand to MTIOCTOP (enable/disable
early warning behaviour).
3. Document EOM handling more fully.
4. Note that for DENSITY and BLOCKSIZE values that the values you
set aren't persistent past the current mount session unless you have
the CONTROL MODE device opened.
5. Remove the old EOM handling BUG notice and instead note that having
a minor bit for compression selection wouldn't be a bad thing.
