snj e0297c9429 Note that sgimips switched to X.Org, and drop the "7.3" as what we have
doesn't really follow any X.Org release.

softdep is, as well as saying that it will be removed. Say that the
WAPBL in netbsd-5 is a "preview", not an "experimental preview".

abs 7896e124da Move ATARITT and FALCON to the main list of kernels 2009-01-24 22:33:39 +00:00
abs 1f13a9d79a - Sync atari sysinst install kernel list with reality:
- BOOT reanamed to SMALL030
  - ATARITT and FALCON were missing
- Update release notes to kernel list and also clarify Milan kernels

he 6ad7662725 Pare down the size of the INSTALL kernel images. This was done by:
1) Removing chio, rcmd, restore, scsictl, shutdown and slattach
   from the ramdisk images
2) Removing the isp* driver from the INSTALL kernel configs
3) Reducing the memory disk and ramdisk size back from 4400 to 4200 blocks

As a result, also remove mention as QLogic ISP controllers as being
supported by the installation.

With this, the INSTALL kernel images should once again be usable;
the firmware apparently imposes a size limit around 5MB on the files
it will load.

Longer-term, this port probably ought to get it's own stand-alone boot
loader, so that it might use e.g. loadable modules.

No support for jumbo ethernet frames yet (but should come soon).
Thanks to JMicron Technologies for providing me sample boards and
documentation for this work.

tsutsui c07124b6d6 First cut at INSTALL notes for NetBSD/arc.
Finally we could close another ancient PR port-arc/11443.

After several years, we got the native bootloader and then had
sysinst which would do apprpriate partitioning for the bootloader,
so I've noted the last difficult part, how to specify boot commands
on the ARC BIOS.

I still wonder how many possible users of NetBSD/arc are there
who will need this topic though... ;-p
