Initial import of iyonix port.
...
The Iyonix is a desktop machine from Castle Technology, based on a 600MHz
XScale[tm] 80321 processor.
* Uses the bootloader from NetBSD/acorn32, which is now 32-bit compatible.
* Currently boots multiuser with a serial console.
* Device support is not yet complete.
With help from abs.

Rework how MAKEVERBOSE operates:
...
* Don't bother prefixing commands with a line of ${_MKCMD}\
and instead rely upon "make -s". This is less intrusive on
all the Makefiles than the former. Idea from David Laight.
* Rename the variables use to print messages. The scheme now is:
_MKMSG_FOO Run _MKMSG 'foo'
_MKTARGET_FOO Run _MKMSG_FOO ${.TARGET}

machine type, falling back to /bin/arch, /bin/machine if they
exist and uname didn't return anything.

The $TEMP variable holds the name of the file to edit.

It cannot be freely used in other places of the script.
The code that handles & in the gecos field was using
$TEMP with problematic consequences...
