725d029d19 Remove INSTWDCPCM, because for a while now, GENERIC (and INSTALL) have 
included both pcmcia support, and wdc instead of idesc as the driver for
the Amiga internal ATA connector.

1e8c30ef94 update sparc64 (and some generic) set sizes to reality (gnu.tgz is 
*much* larger for sparc64 now! :-).  remove the notes that PCI kbd/ms,
sbus audiocs, and fas support don't work because they now do.

f898d4a492 Several changes to our release notes, OK'd by Luke Mewburn: 
* mention additional kernels in binary/kernel/ dir: GENERIC_LAPTOP, etc
  * note that we also include firewall software (besides X, ...)
  * don't Xref the BUGS file, as it's gone
  * update some file sizes (source .tgz files) to match BETA2
  * mention that syssrc contains the source for all architectures
  * Sysinst now allows setting root password and timezone - note that.
  * Explain how to actually install binary packages, giving some
    examples that people may want to install.
  * Mention rawrite32 near rawrite.
  * Don't show preparation of install tape on i386
  * update i386 hardware a bit. This needs to be generated automatically...
  * Many minor nits & typos.

5e24af1bd0 Bring these up to date WRT reality. In particular, the disk-space 
requirements were somewhat insufficient, and MVME162 was nowhere to
be seen.

7bed8ad731 - move arch setting logic from main -> macros, and change as follows: 
- define string `A' to contain the arch name (defaults to the port
	  name)
	- define registers \*A and _\*A if
- deprecate _FOR_RELEASE, and just use FOR_RELEASE

c130e42b2e * Delete sun3x from SUBDIR 
* The merged contents file didn't work out, so nuke it and put it back
  into each port directory. Most still have the now-pointless conditionals;
  these now should be deleted.
* fix alpha, amiga, and arm32 to delete the maze of twisty little conditionals

851ee9e397 1) Remove all vestiges of tar from src/distrib. Use pax and appropriate 
commandlines for all tar operations.  (work supplied by Matt Green)
2) Update arch/*/md.c to deal with new sysinst/run.c.  Special case
anything that needs to do a redirect or a pipe.
3) #if 0 some unused code in target.c. This code will need to be updated,
or special cased with do_system.

b207e38c8b Give the common install notes components their own subdirectory. 
Also, alpha and i386 now use a single merged common/sysinst,
and arm32 and sparc have a single merged common/xfer.
