sommerfeld dc67ff641f When setting warn_format to a nonzero value, always use 
warn_format = MAX(warn_format, N);
This prevents -Wnetbsd-format-audit -Wall from turning off stricter checks.

tv 45fc6b59ae Remove INSTALLFLAGS=-fschg. This will break a "make install" phase where 
the binary may have been installed already, i.e. a install without
UPDATE=1 (done so that everything gets reinstalled).  The schg flag is not
unsettable, even by root, at securelevel 1.

A flag like this should be set by mtree, not install.

dmcmahill f9e1eb8800 document the '-s' option which will cause the installboot program 
to recalculate the 16 bit sun checksum.  This flag is needed when
making iso 9660 images which are bootable on both sparc and vax
machines.

dmcmahill ed206de60f bring the manpage up to date with the program. The current 
installboot program is based heavily on the pmax installboot.
Accordingly, this manpage is based heavily on the pmax one.

fvdl 36ea504b68 Switch this one back to FFS, at least until ustarfs is fixed. ustarfs seems 
to fail for 2.88 images at certain image sizes.

christos 23c15f1578 Don't set P_SUGID if the calls to set{e,}{u,g}id(), setreuid(), 
setgroups() did not result in actual changes. This has the nice
side effect that we don't needlesly allocate new credential and
resource limit data structures.

This is so that non setuid programs that call seteuid(getuid()),
don't end up setting P_SUGID, resulting in broken behavior [i.e.
non setuid ssh, doesn't read ~/.hostaliases...].

This is a good candidate for a pullup, if someone reviews it.

fvdl ead80bd575 Stress that if a match is found between a disk device and a BIOS disk, 
you really should not be changing the geometry values, unless they
look totally ridiculous due to some BIOS bug.

Disable manual entering of initial partition label values when doing
a custom label. The step was redundant. Just go to the label edit
directly, leaving everything but the c and d partitions empty.

fvdl 8a696e8ea8 Improve labelling a bit, by allowing some shortcuts to start partitions 
where another one ends, and ending partitions where another one start,
or at the start of the disk / until the end of the disk.

bouyer f87b1573c3 Support ETHERCAP_VLAN_MTU by ignoring the EX_UPD_ERROR and EX_UPD_OVERSIZED 
status bits. Tested with a 3c905-TX.

bouyer 5cc13a273b Support ETHERCAP_VLAN_MTU. It seems the chip doesn't check the frame size. 
Tested with a NetVin 5000 and a WD8013EBT.

jdolecek c477768e0b fix bugs caused by implicit assumption that 'length' and 
'offset' members of struct recheader/trecheader are shorts - they are size_t
now
this makes sort pass all tests in TEST/stests again after my last change

jdolecek fe7f0860c0 order(): since getline()/getnext() behaviour wrt passed 
end pointer has changed (full buffer is used instead of first DEFLLEN bytes)
the end pointer cannot be shared for crec and prec, we need to pass
different value in each case

nisimura 1fd2521475 - efforts to merge TC Alpha and IOASIC DECstation, derived from Mattias 
Drochner's work made in nisimura-pmax-wscons branch.  Still a little
  to do before useful for DECstation.  MI softintr required.
- allow wildcard matchs to have zstty/zskbd/zsms in default hardware
  configuration.
- abandon to check zs_ioasic_cnattach() return value; it doesn't fail.
- have zs_ioasic_cnattach() serial line parameters hardcoded inside, in
  symmetry with zs_ioasic_lk201_cnattach().
